13. Zucchini And Fresh Corn Salad With Lemon-Basil Vinaigrette

Top 25 Healthy And Tasty Salad Recipes

This salad recipe is a no-cook raw recipe that gets in spunk from a garlic-flavored lemon-basil vinaigrette and chunks of goat cheese that will lightly marinate with thin squash peels and freshly shucked corn kernels.

We took yellow squash and zucchini and shaved them into delicate ribbons with a simple vegetable peeler. I suggest you cut the ends of the zucchini off first, then gently peel lengthwise until you hit the seeds and middle, which will become thin and watery. When you’re done, the middle should be in a stout, squared column that you can toss in the compost or garbage.

Next, I cut sweet, plump bi-color corn kernels right off the cob, and add them to the bed of squash. The simple however completely tasty sauce vinaigrette involves garlic, fragrant basil and a bowl of lemons.

This is where we get our spunk, with a bit of Dijon added in. The beauty of this dressing is it gently marinades and totally flavors the raw ingredients.

Ingredients

•           1 small or medium zucchini

•           1 small or medium yellow squash

•           1 ear of corn shucked and cleaned, with the kernels, cut off the cob

•           1-ounce goat cheese

•           Lemon-Basil Vinaigrette recipe below

•           1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped

•           1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

•           1 clove minced fresh garlic

•           Required freshly ground black pepper and Kosher salt to taste

Instructions :

  1. For the Salad
  2. With a wide vegetable peeler, peel the zucchini and squash lengthwise into long ribbons (discarding the middle — you’ll know when you get to it because the squash will get too thin and watery.) Place the ribbons in a good-sized bowl or plate, alternating so you can see equal amounts of green and yellow. Add the corn kernels and about 2 tablespoons of vinaigrette. Toss. Add salt, freshly ground pepper and chili flakes to taste. Add the goat cheese and garnish with recently torn basil.

For the Lemon-Basil Vinaigrette :

Add all of the ingredients to a small jar with a lid and shake well. Season with more salt and pepper to taste.

19. Mexican Chopped Salad

Top 25 Healthy And Tasty Salad Recipes

The homemade dressing takes this Mexican-inspired salad recipe to the next level. This Mexican cut salad is ideal with any Mexican meal and always gets rave reviews! It’s additionally delicious spooned over chicken, shrimp or pork or beef!

Jicama is often used in South American cooking. The plant is native to Mexico and jicama is used commonly in Mexican cooking. I love to use it in salsas and salads as it gives a lovely, slightly sweet crunch, and doesn’t lose its crispness over time.

Jicama is low in calories and high in fiber, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. I would describe the taste and texture as a cross between an Asian pear, a potato, and an apple. Jicama is wonderful in salads and can also be cut in sticks and eaten with dips like hummus and dips.

What to serve this salad with:

•           Perfect with any Mexican entree; tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos, etc

•           Delicious spooned on top of nachos.

•           Serve it with chips (just omit the lettuce).

In the initial stage, he discovered this for the religious purpose but later these were introduced as a part of the restaurant menu in the sub-form of desserts. There were three kinds of cheesecakes introduced for post prayer food in the church. They were libium cake, savillum cake, and placenta cake. Among these, the modern cheesecakes have adopted the recipe of the placenta cake, which has a separate baked crust.

The cheesecake acquired an English origin in 1300s as it was first found in an English chef’s cookbook. The dish didn’t, however, transformed into its modern form until 18th century. The modern cheese cream was discovered and added to the recipes only after 19th century.

Currently, there are two different types of cheesecakes prevalent in different parts of the world:

  1. A baked base cheesecake
  2. An unbaked cream cheese filled with a crumbled biscuit base.

These cakes are made of less sugar and cheese, making it low fat dessert. This is the reason; Japanese cheesecakes are not too sweet in nature, compared to the other cheesecakes around the world. The cake was popularized in Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake bakery around 1990’s.

The nicknames of the cheesecake make it obvious that the cake would be very soft in nature and would have a sponge attribute. It is mainly differentiated into three types and tastes, however, in the bakeries of Japan, they do not mention ‘Cheesecakes’ plainly anywhere, instead, they would mention:

INGREDIENTS OF THE JAPANESE CHEESECAKE:

Pineapple cheesecake
Pineapple cheesecake
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Corn starch
  • Cake flour ( all-purpose flour)
  • Cream of tartar
  • Cream cheese
  • Toppings of choice – chocolate syrup, maple syrup, berries, jam, etc.

RECIPE OF THE JAPANESE CAKE:

Step 1

The oven should be preheated at 390 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

A cake pan should to be greased all over with butter of your choice. A parchment paper should be placed at the bottom of the pan. It will help you ensure that the cake base is not cracked from sides and once baked, can be removed smoothly.

Step 3

Take a large bowl of boiling water.

Step 4

Take cream cheese in a shallow dish and keep it above the bowl of boiling water. This process would soften the cream cheese.

Step 5

While the cream cheese is softening, take the eggs and separate the egg whites and egg yolks.

Step 6

The softened cream cheese should be whisked until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 7

Add required amount of milk and butter in the mixture of cream cheese as per your measured cheesecake quantity.

Step 8

Take the separated yolks and whisk them nicely. Keep adding sugar while the eggs are whisked in order to mix it evenly in the cream cheese.

Step 9

Remove the cream cheese dish from the hot water bowl.

Step 10

Pour in corn starch and cake mix into the mixture of cream cheese, butter, and milk.

Step 11

Take the separated egg whites and whisk them properly.

Step 12

Cream of tartar and sugar should be added to the egg whites at the time it of whisking. Make sure the sugar is added in small quantities at regular intervals to ensure a smooth creamy mixture at the end of the whisking process. The egg whites should be whisked until they reach the consistency of meringue. However, do not over whisk the mixture. It would spoil the texture of the cheesecake or sometimes the cheesecake.

Step 13

The whisked egg whites should now be mixed to the yolks. Make sure you do not add the entire mixture at one time. It would create bumps in the mixture, making it a failure.

Step 14

One-third of the egg whites have to be taken and mixed slowly with the egg yolks until the mixture is properly absorbed (Tip- The mixing should be done only using a spatula and not a whisk).

Step 15

After the first 1/3rd of the mixture has been absorbed into the yolk mixture, another half of the remaining egg whites mixture has to be added to the same. Special care has to be taken to not deflate the batter.

Step 16

Once the egg white and yolk mixture has to be added to the remaining half of the egg white mixture, the whole mixture has to be stirred slowly and softly using a spatula until they form a thick paste.

Step 17

Now, the mixture has to be poured into the greased cake pan. The mixture should not be filled to the brim as the cake’s layer would bulge inside the oven, vacuuming the hot air particles.

Step 18

Place a cloth towel on the baking tray. Now, place thecake pan on the baking tray. The cloth towel would ensure that the cake can do not directly come in contact with the hot surface of the tray.

Step 19

Keep this set up into the preheated oven and pour about one inch water into the tray.

Step 20

Bake the cake in the oven for around 18 minutes at the preheated temperature of 390 degrees Fahrenheit. After that, reduce the temperature of the oven to 285 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, the cake should be cooked for around 30 minutes. After the thirty minutes, please turn off oven. However, do not remove the cake from the oven for another 30 minutes.

Step 21

After the 30 minutes, slowly remove the tray from the oven and check.

Step 22

Again place the cake pan back into the oven without pouring water in the tray. This time, keep the door of the oven open. This will allow it to cool down gently for another 30 minutes. When the cake is cooled in this manner, please ensure the surface of the cheesecake does not crack.

Step 23

After the 30 minutes, slowly take the cake pan out of the oven. The cake would have shrunk a bit from the pan edges.

Step 24

Now, you can touch the cake softly and check if it has cracked base and hard texture on the top. If not, you turned out to be an amazing baker in the first go.

Step 25

Now, gently flip the cake onto a small plate and reflip it back on to the serving plate to place the soft surface on the top.

Step 26

You can serve it with berries, maple syrup or any other topping of choice.

The cake tastes best when served warm. Ideally, it should have a jiggly movement– it is the trademark of the Japanese cheesecake. In fact, in many places, it is called the ‘Jiggly cheesecake’ because of these characteristics.

Okay, now as we you know how to make a yummy Japanese cheesecake, you are all good to go for winning hearts!

How to select the best plastic surgeon?

Plastic surgeon using syringe for lip Plastic surgeon using syringe for lip Augmentation.
Plastic surgeon using syringe for lip Plastic surgeon using syringe for lip Augmentation. Medical procedure close up with beautiful female. Medical procedure close up with beautiful female

Plastic surgery is nothing new. It’s been present for long and has evolved over time. For some people, the meaning of plastic surgery is different. For some of them, plastic surgery can increase the confidence and for some plastic surgery is able to reduce the disability. The main aim of plastic surgery is to enhance the looks or solve a defect. A plastic surgeon is a trained and experienced doctor who specializes in performing various types of procedures. Though most of the procedures are performed without any problem, there are certain risks involved with plastic surgery.

You should look for a specialist and not the surgeon who can do all the procedures as he might not be able to deliver justice. The number of men and women who undergo plastic surgery is on the rise and there are plenty of reasons to go under plastic surgery. According to a study, 17 million surgeries have been performed alone in 2016. The reason for increased plastic surgeries depends on the trends which are going on. As men with the shapeless body are going for liposuction treatment and women with smaller breasts go for breast augmentation surgery. No matter which procedure you choose but you will have to find the right plastic surgeon for your treatment. There are plenty of unqualified surgeons who are coming to this area and these will make it quite risky for you.

To help the patient select a qualified doctor is the main crux of this article. Below are the points which will help you to select the best plastic surgeon.

Connect with people who have undergone plastic surgery

Surgery
Concentrated surgeons at work during operation

The patient reviews which we read online might not be true. We need to know the actual reviews of the procedure. The actual patient reviews will help a lot as it will throw some light on the procedure and certain areas. If none of your friends have undergone the surgery, you should try to contact the person who has undergone the procedure.

Read reviews about the surgeon which are present in your area

You should not trust any plastic surgeon because it’s about your body and health. Once the surgery is done then you cannot surely reverse it. So, it’s better late than never. The best way to begin research is by knowing about the procedure from reliable resources. The websites of surgeons often are not able to maintain the neutrality. You can check websites where experts share about the experiences of doctors.

Not everything written on the internet is true

Just a normal reading of the article about the surgeon is not enough, you need to research deep. Some websites will not tell you about the risks involved in the procedure. What most people follow is that they search their query, open the first page of Google and read the first page of the website, this approach is not good. The best article might be in lower result of Google.

Go through the qualifications of the candidates

Let’s take an example: you are willing to go for a liposuction procedure. You should visit nearby clinics to know about the reviews. You can shortlist the surgeons who are good in a liposuction procedure. Just check they have performed various liposuction procedures successfully. You should take enough time to shortlist the right surgeons.

Check if your plastic surgeon is affiliated with a hospital

The affiliation matters because it tells you that the doctor is reputed. The affiliation with the professional body is a plus point. If a doctor is certified then he is good to perform surgeries and you consult him.

Be ready to ask questions when consulting

This is only possible when you do your complete research about plastic surgery. You will come up with lots of questions and the doctor should provide you with satisfying answers. If he/she is not able to provide you with good answers then you should look for some other doctor.

Make sure the office is clean

If you are about to go to a laser liposuction procedure, the surgeon should have laser equipment to perform this procedure. There should be medical staff to take care of the patients who undergo surgical treatment.

Listen to your instinct

Even if you have booked an appointment with the surgeon, you can always change your mind before you book the treatment. So you should carefully think about the steps. If you think something fishy, you should first enquire about the credentials and then if you don’t find the doctor nice, then you can cancel the surgery.

Philly Cheese Steak

Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, or “Philly” as referred to fondly by a lot of people, has found its place among our hearts for various reasons. There is the historic liberty bell, a symbol of American freedom; Independence National Historical Park, the site where The Liberty Bell is found; Philadelphia Museum of Art, made famous by Sylvester Stallone in his well-known hit film “Rocky” and many more. Along these lines, it is interesting to note that there is one other major item that has immortalised the flavour of Philadelphia forever. Yes! It is indeed the Philly cheese steak. This dish has a history stretching back to more than 9 decades. To get a gist of the history, the Philly cheese steak was first founded by Pat and Harry Olivieri.

They were hot dog vendors who discovered the steak sandwich one day quite by accident. It started off as they added chopped beef and grilled onion onto an Italian roll. A cab driver passing that way tried it out and found that it was delicious and advised them to get into sandwich business instead of their original hot dogs business. That proved to be a turning point. This led to the opening of Pat’s King of steak. Originally the sandwich did not contain cheese. It was only later that the manager of Pat’s King of steak, Joe Lorenza inserted that into the sandwich, thereby creating the signature dish of Philadelphia.

The sandwich has been modified and has many varieties now. It is being sold all over the city in small carts, food trucks, independently owned family business and even in high end restaurants. Outside Philadelphia it is commonly called as the Philly cheese steak sandwich.

In the city of brotherly love, the two most famous outlets for cheesesteak sandwiches are Pat’s King of steak and Geno’s Steaks. They both have been having a friendly rivalry since the year 1966 (when Geno’s Steaks was established). There are some versions of history which claim that it was in fact Geno’s that first put the cheese in the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. However, the popular belief is still that Pat’s King of steak was the outlet that inserted the cheese into the steak sandwich to make it the cheese steak sandwich.

There are also certain methods of ordering the steak at the various outlets. For instance at the outlet of Pat’s King of steak you have to say if you want the onions or not first, and then you have to specify the type of cheese that you would like to have. So, supposing you want to order a cheesesteak sandwich at Pat’s King of steak, with onions and provolone cheese, you would have to say, “With, provolone.” This short form is used because of the huge lines which are a staple feature of the outlet that prevent the possibility of any small talk with the staff at the counter.

Ingredients used:

The usual ingredients used for the Philly cheese steak include the following:

Meat

The meat that is usually used for the sandwich is rib-eye or top round steak. However, other cuts of beef are also often used and these are, Top Sirloin, the T-bone, tri-tip roast and flank steak to name a few.

Bread

The authentic cheese steaks of Philadelphia have Amoroso rolls in their sandwiches. These rolls are long soft and lightly salted. However, other Italian rolls and breads may also be used upon the unavailability of these rolls. Two other type of bread rolls used are Aversa and Vilotti-Pisanelli.

Cheese:

The most commonly used cheese in the Philly cheese steak sandwich are American cheese, Provolone and Cheez Whiz. Cheez Whiz was much later addition by the 1960s due to its unavailability by the 1930s, when the steak sandwich was originally found.

Joey Vento, owner of Geno’s (major competitor of Pat’s King of steak), makes a clear point that Provolone is the best cheese that may be used for the cheesesteak sandwich. They highly recommend it and have made a strong statement saying that it is the real cheese. Pat’s King of steak have used the Cheez Whiz as a way of bonding between the outlet and the customers. The high speed processed cheese had already become a staple at every household owing to its easy to handle nature and parents found fixing their kids’ lunch a much simpler and faster process with the help of Cheez Whiz. According to the statistics of Pat’s King of steak, they have an overwhelming ratio of eight to ten Cheez Whiz sandwiches sold for every American cheese cheesesteak sandwich at their shop.

Apart from these there are various other additions that are added to the sandwich. These addition include, sautéed or grilled onions, mushrooms, chili sauce, tomato sauce, bell peppers, mayonnaise mustard sauce, etc. These additions are based on people’s choice and preferences.

Preparation steps:

The method of preparation of the cheesesteak sandwich is as follows:

1. Meat Preparation

The steak is cut into thin slices and placed on the pan. The slices are to be thin to allow the meat to cook much easily and quickly. The meat slice is cut into pieces using a spatula or a meat knife as it cooks. This should be done over a high flame. The meat should not be overcooked. As it cooks over a high flame use the spatula to quickly cut it into small pieces. The whole process of cooking the meat should take around 30 seconds to a maximum of a minute.

2. Additions

Simultaneously, as the meat cooks, onions and any other vegetable of choice of vegetable is to be sautéed in a pan. This process is to be done over a medium to low flame. The skillet is to be coated with a thin layer of oil and the onions should be placed first. Stir occasionally. Bell peppers (if needed) may be added to the pan. Both the vegetables have to sautéed until they are translucent. Salt should be added as per taste.

3. Meat Mixed With The Vegetables

The vegetables are placed on the meat which has been cooking simultaneously on another pan. They have to be arranged in a long line. The size of the meat should roughly be the size of the bread loaf that you have chosen to use for the sandwich.

4. Cheese Addition

The cheese is then placed on the meat as it cooks, allowing the cheese to melt into the meat to add texture and flavour to the meet. The cheese added may be provolone cheese slices or may be other forms that include mozzarella, American cheese, etc. Further, if so chosen by the customer, the cheese may not even necessarily be in the form of slices. Rather, they can be melted into liquid cheese and added to the sandwich at the plating stage.

The provolone and American cheese is usually in the form of slices. These may be used by placing on the meat and vegetables to melt and sizzle for around 30 seconds to about a minute on a medium to high heat. The other way to cook the provolone may be to place it on the vegetables and meat along a line and then to turn off the heat. This way the cheese will sizzle and melt on the meat and vegetable mixture using the latent heat. This is also used to make sure that the cheese does not get burnt by mistake while making the sandwich.

In case the Cheez Whiz is being used, then there are two different ways to add the cheese to the sandwich.

  • The cheese can be spread on the bread before the meat and vegetables are scooped into it. This will help in giving a crispness in the texture of the bread.
  • The other method that maybe used is, as already mentioned melting the cheese. The Cheez Whiz is melted through a microwave and then the liquid cheese is spread on the sandwich by using a spatula. In case melted Cheez Whiz is used for the sandwich, then the onions which are grilled / sautéed can also be added on top of the cheese which is spread on the sandwich for a better texture.

5. Bread

The bread (roll) of choice has to be cut across partially. The bread should then be placed on the steak and vegetables that are being sautéed on the pan. Using a spatula, the meat and vegetables should be flipped onto the bread along with the cheese (if already added onto the pan).  If the cheese is not added on the meat-vegetable mixture but rather kept in the liquid form nearby, then it should be scooped onto the sandwich.

6. Other Add-ons:

As mentioned earlier, the sandwich may be further customised by adding mayonnaise, mustard sauce, mayonnaise mustard sauce, hot sauce, ketchup etc. Though not part of the original recipe of Philly cheese steak sandwich, these additions have been improvised by the various different outlets that have come up more recently.

Now, you are all set for the delicious dummy bites. Enjoy your hand made food and pat yourself with happiness.

Buying Jobs

0
buying jobs

How much did that job cost you that you recently bought for your child?
What cost?
The cost do you put up on education?
I didn’t buy a job, I sent my child to study.
Why study?
For education!

Education! What do you understand by this? Let me tell you. When you hear the word education, when you realize that your child is growing up and will need it, you will eventually start making an excel sheet of family expenses in your mind and eventually, you will start planning to cut off on unimportant or less important expenses. Isn’t it true that in India, we all think of education as spoon-feeding to our children depending on how much we can spend? When you think of education, do you not think of it as money that you have to spend to buy your child a job? No, these facts cannot be denied because this is the current status of education. It is so true that your child will only get a good job if he or she makes it to a good government college. If not government, then it has to be the highest paying private college.

Are we really buying jobs?

Yes, the jobs are actually being bought by parents for their children and the cycle goes on. There’s no loophole to it. It’s so true that today, we rush to be number one in the competition but with this, we will only be able to do good for ourselves. Eventually, with the current education system running in the country, the nation’s future is doomed.

What is education?

My dear people, education is not just a race to win jobs. It is not a race in your community to get your son/daughter into the best school of the city. It is also not the number of degrees your child holds. Education is knowledge. Your child is only educated when on being asked about anything from his or her domain gives the exact answer.

Literacy is not education!

When we talk about education, we usually misunderstood it by literacy. We think that when a child learns to read and write one’s own name, it’s education. No, it’s literacy and the literacy rate of our country is growing but the status of education is going down year by year.

What’s the main cause?

Why is it so? It’s not because of the parents that spoon-feed education to their kids but it is because of the employers too. They pick up the cream layer from highly ranked education institutions and leave the rest to rot. This cream layer is the competition. Everyone wants to be on the top anyhow. Students these days do not remember what they wrote in the examination an hour after it and get good grades. What do you understand by this? The system is going in the wrong direction.

Change the way you practice education people!

Employers should change the way they hire and give chances to everyone. They may fire the ones who do not work accordingly but at least give them a chance.

We cannot clearly say that schooling is done nicely. The government schools do not provide good education to the poor, middle-class students get to lower-ranked private schools with no futures and the upper-class students only get the best education. The best here is actually for the quality. If you are not spending a minimum 10k on your child’s education per month, you’re wasting your money.

In India, education is a business. It is important for principals to take care of the ambiance and maintain good quality furniture to show to the chairperson but it is not important for them to buy good books for the children.

The only way this can be changed is by initiating at personal levels. Employment situations are getting worse day by day and we all need employment in the near future. Most of the degree holders are now jobless and it is all because of the rush and unnecessary race.

Do we not agree that we all are artists in one way or another? Why not practice the art and become better at our respective levels and perform it. Why not make our hobby our profession? Why not become a dance teacher, open singing classes, take tutions or start a cooking class? Why not think out of the box? Why only rush for a desk job? Why not start small? Remember, every successful business now was once a small initiative.

Dear parents, tell your child to practice that drawing she loves or the football he loves to play. Tell them to bring the best out of them. Take them to places they can showcase their talents. Teach them to be fearless. Do not make them rot and rush for a desk job which is not even their choice.

The only way we can save our nation’s unemployment problems is by bringing the artist out of ourselves. Practice the art we are best at and no one will be able to hold us back. Only the passion turned profession can be the saviour of our doomed future.

Education system of India teaches us a lot but not all of us want to be taught that. This is one major reason of being deprived of education. If you want to learn, learn the things you love. If you are passionate about something, go deeper and deeper into it. Don’t look back at the big mouths that utter nothing important. Don’t fall into the false trap of the society. No job is big or small, it’s the mentality that is compared by size.

Lastly there’s this thing that we all need to keep in mind, Education is not spoon feeding. It is not throwing money to buy jobs. Life is not a race. Always remember that earning less and satisfactorily is way better than earning 6 figures and yet not being happy about it. What would you do to a life where you start working at 9 and end up tired and stressed for the next day at 11? Yes, it will bring you money but will you take that money to your grave? No one does. What counts is how happy we are when we are alive.

Unleash your power of imagination- The fifth dimension

0

The power of imagination is one of the best treasures that a human mind is bestowed with. If only you can value it and let itself unleash, you will fathom the incredible potential it possesses. And do you know the best thing about imagination? It is not betrothed to any rules or confinements. Your mind is not restricted to think and imagine only in a specific way; you do have infinite dimensions and possibilities to touch and feel, only if you realize how tremendous it is.

Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere. – Carl Sagan

Albert Einstein has also beautifully described the power of imagination as: “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”
Do you remember how as a child you could travel to different places and could become a different person in seconds? Childhood was indeed a time when the power of your imagination was at its peak. You could do anything and become everything you wished. No boundaries! Isn’t it? But as you grew up, your environment, your circumstances and the society altogether planted several limitations deep within your mind, which some kind of bridled your imagination to only a certain level. And apart from only a small section of the society comprising of authors, painters, actors, singers, and other artists, imagination eventually lost its way and faded within people’s minds. Isn’t it sad to see such an incredible asset in you die with time?

Power of imagination – How it works

Unleash your power of imagination- The fifth dimension

The mechanics of imagination is still not understood completely by scientists. Researchers have found that there are 12 different regions in the brain involved in the imagination of a shape in the human mind. These are the same regions that help us to perceive the world around us. This is why your imagination is always molded in accordance with whatever you see around you all the time. In addition to the surroundings, your memory also plays a significant role in shaping your imagination.

Power of imagination – The fifth dimension

Unleash your power of imagination- The fifth dimension

Rod Serling, a renowned American screenwriter has quoted, “There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man … a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.” Once you unleash this space, a new dimension of you will emerge.”
There are many ways and techniques using which you can unlock your power of imagination. I have listed 5 great ways that will help you tap into the fifth dimension of existence, as mentioned by Serling, i.e. kick-start your very own imagination.

Read

Tap into the power of imagination - Reading

All the readers out there, you need not need to be told about this, as you know this very well how it works. Where was the last place you traveled to? Perhaps a wonderland, a sanctuary, or some kinda castle! But those who are not into this subtle habit of reading, I would like to aware you of the dimensions those yellow-tinted pages can take you into; dimensions where there are limitless possibilities waiting for you. So click on the escape button of your mind and break free from this living reality for a little while.

Freewriting

Unleash your power of imagination- The fifth dimension

Take a deep breath and close your eyes for a minute. Notice the first thing that comes to your mind. Catch that thought and note it down into your journal. Now write whatever that comes to your mind, reading that particular thought. You can write whatever you know about the thought, an association, a memory or a story. Sometimes your mind may divert from the thought and move somewhere else. Don’t stop it. Let it wander free. Everything is okay as long as you imagine. But don’t forget to jot it down.

Daydream

Daydreaming - Unleashing the power of imagination

Edgar Allan Poe says, “They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.” Daydreaming is an art that unbottles up your imagination to higher possibilities.
Imagine you go to the market to buy some vegetables. Just observe the vegetable vendors striving out there. What is their life like? How would they be managing their family and themselves? Are they fortunate enough like you? Think about their lives. Once you observe something and begin the thought process, your mind will run wild into the dimension of your imagination.

Play games

Unleash your power of imagination- The fifth dimension

Playing games was perhaps the best part of our childhood, and nobody needed to remind us to actually do this. Do you remember the different personalities that you had role-played when you were, say 7 years old? I used to run through a whole lot of adventures with my cousins by imagining the ‘what next’ of our story-game.
But our adult-selves need a quick reminder that we can still play games even if not by the old ways. You can just stir your imagination with some brain games or puzzle games for a start.

Meditate
