9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

Hack the Nail Art

The body is a canvas, and it seems we are always trying to deck it up with something beautiful. Be it buying the best dresses, or having perfectly matched accessories– we do not leave a stone unturned to make sure we look good. Maybe not every single day of the year, but once in a while we make all the efforts to be the best version of ourselves by virtues of appearance. Nail art becomes a part of these efforts, turning out to be real art if done well. And let’s not forget all the appreciation and the wow’s that come your way when you have a perfectly designed nail.

Nail Art
Nail Art

But often, this can be a tedious, even costly, job. Nails aren’t the biggest of things admitted. It can be hard to make too complicated designs. Sometimes you can indeed get pretty designs done from parlours, but the cost is pretty high. It is often not possible to afford that cost. So what to do?

Instead of spending tons of time or money or both behind getting the awesome nail art done, try out simple ideas that will turn out to be wonderful, yet are easy as any simple nail painting process. Here are some ideas you can try out!

The Loofah Hack Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

A loofah is great for making impressions because of the pattern it has. The perfect crisscross acts as a great stencil.

Choose two colours, preferable a dark and a light shade. The shades should go well with each other. Apply the lighter shade first as a base. Let it dry. Take the loofah. You can either cut out small pieces if it’s an old one. Place it over your nail. Then take the darker shade of nail polish, apply it on a sponge and gently dab on the nail. Keep it on one side, so that you get the effect of a gradient.

Remove the loofah gently, and you get a cool looking mesh pattern gradually fading. To make sure the nail paint doesn’t stay on your fingers around the nails as well, put a coat of liquid glue and let that dry. Peel it off once the final product is ready. To seal it in place, apply a layer of transparent nail polish once everything is dry.

The Tape Hack Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

This one is perhaps the easiest hack out there, but the results can be crazy good! All you need is cello tape to add the quirk. The patterns are all subject to your whims.

Take two shades that contrast each other. You can try out glittery nail polish that matches the base colour. First paint your nails with the base colour and let it dry. In this hack, it is very important that the base colour is dry. Otherwise some of it can come off when you peel the tape off your finger. Once its adequately dry, plan out the pattern you’d like, and paste the tape. It’s best to use small pieces. Make sure the tape is stuck down well on your nails, all along the curve of your nail and your finger. Then take the second shade of nail polish and apply it. Gently take the tape off, and you get a clean edge pattern nail paint.

You can even use more than two shades of nail polish, using the tape multiple times to form layers. Every time you apply the new layer of patterns, make sure the paint underneath is completely dry. In the end, just put some transparent nail polish to seal it in place, as always.

Dental Floss Hack Nail Art

For this one, once again you’ll need two matching shades of paint. This time, make sure the base colour stands out, as the top coat will be dominating the nail.

First apply the base coat. Let it dry well. Then the process is very easy. Tear off a long strip of dental floss (not too long though) and twine it around your finger. Do it tightly so that it stays in place. Once you have secured the floss in place, apply the second nail polish. Then slowly and very carefully untwine the floss, without disrupting the top coat.

Once it comes off, you have a cool stripped design on your nail, perfectly resembling a t-shirt. Try it out with your stripped tees to make a cool combo. Also, don’t forget the protective layer of transparent nail polish!

DIY Stencil Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

Make your own stencil out of a chewing gum wrapper. It does not have to be too elaborate or complicated. Perhaps try out a simple heart shape.

Take the wrapper of a chewing gum and fold it in half. Cut out the shape of half a heart and unfold the paper, revealing the complete heart shape. Make sure it’s small, because too big, it might not look good on the nails.  Paint your nail with a light shade of nail polish and let it dry well. Then place your DIY stencil on your nail. Secure it well on your nail and make sure it does not move. If needed, ask a friend to help. Now take a darker, corresponding shade of nail polish, and paint over the cut out.

Slowly peel off your stencil to reveal the design on your nail. You can use the stencil multiple times to repeat the same design, perhaps even with different shades. Apply the transparent coat at the end.

Band Aid Stencil Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

This one is a popular hack because the net result is not just cool, it is also very popular, and often parlours to it for a much higher cost.

The base can be transparent nail polish in this case, or any shade you want. But it’s best if it is a light and more natural shade. Take the band aid and paste it on your nail, a little below the top of the nail, right from where the skin starts beneath your nail. You will see, the arc of the band aid runs almost parallel to the arc of the top of your nail. Now take another shade, for example, white, and paint the exposed part. Now peel off the band aid to reveal a clean edge. Finally top it with the transparent nail polish.

Bobby Pin Polka Dots Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

This one also closely resembles cloth prints, and would be perfect for your tees or dresses. It is simple and sweet.

Take a light colour for base, and a dark colour for the dots. Make sure they go well together. You can take different shades of the same colour. If you want, you can use more than two shades for this one. Paint the base with the lighter colour and let it dry. Take a bobby pin and dip the round head in the darker shade of nail polish, or just put a drop of it with the brush. Gently dab the head on your nail, and you have cute circles! Add as many circles as you want and let it dry. Apply the transparent nail polish in the end.

The Sponge Scenery Nail Art

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

Are you a fan of galaxies or sunsets? Or do you simply love a hoard of colours on your nails playing around. Then you can simply use a sponge to make a beautiful gradient of colours.

If you are trying out the galaxy, use light blue and dark blue nail polish for base. First apply a transparent layer and let it dry. Put some PVA glue around the nail as well. Now take a clean sponge. First put a line of light blue nail polish, and right beneath it, the dark blue one. Dab it slowly on your nail, the lighter colour on top and the darker one at the bottom. You can add some purple as well right at the bottom line. Let it dry. Sprinkle some white nail polish for stars. Once everything is dry and set, apply another layer of transparent nail polish. The process is same for sunset scenery as well, only without the white sprinkles.

Painting Nails without Nail Polish!

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

This one is not just cheap, but allows you a lot of opportunity. Missing on a variety of shades of nail polish? Can’t find the shade you wanted to wear? Has your nail polish dried up? And you don’t have the time to get more nail polish!

These emergencies call for some creativity. Take some water colour (yes!), preferably liquid colour. Paint your nails whatever way you want. You can simply choose one colour; you can mix various colours; Try out any of the above mentioned hacks as well. Once you are done, make sure it dries up well. It is best to use acrylic pain, or ones that do not dissolve once dry. Apply two coats of transparent nail polish over the colours. Now they’re water proof and much more long-lasting. This one can save you in urgent cases.

No Water Colour either? Let Your Make Up Help Your Nails!

9 Ways to Hack the Nail Art Game!

This one can even get you a matte affect. All you need is transparent nail polish and eye shadow.

Take a little amount of the eye shadow; crush it down to a fine powder. This one can be used to put in good use broken or almost exhausted eye shadow. Then put some of the transparent nail polish and mix thoroughly. You can use a toothpick if you don’t have the necessary tools. Adjust the amount of transparent nail polish to keep the mix smooth. Apply it to your nails, and top it with another layer of top coat once it’s dry.

Admit is, nails can enhance your look greatly if done well. Take the time to choose the right shades, ones that not only match with each other, but also with your clothing. Choose a design that goes with your style. Most importantly, always take care of your nails so that they look good in any design. Shape them regularly and make sure all the nails are of even size. In the end, it’s about the look that decides the outcome.

Dorian Rossini: The Supposed Modern Jesus.

0
Dorian-Rossini

Famous for being part of multiple scandals, Dorian Rossini did not gain fame merely because of being a music artist hailing from Paris, France; he struck the golden ball with his controversial statement claiming to be an incarnation of God.

That’s right; Dorian Rossini claimed to be the new child of god!

Who is Dorian Rossini?

Dorian-Rossini
Dorian-Rossini

Dorian Rossini rose to fame, though not so much, initially being a DJ at clubs and parties. He has also released two albums, Religion and Starminia. His works are dominantly under Dance and Electronic Music genre. He has been looking for singing in movies recently, but it’s his stunts that get him the most attention.

The crazy stuff that got Dorian attention

In 2012, he created some hubbub over his appearance on Season 5 in the unscripted television show known as Angels, appearing naked on the show on his birthday. Some often opined that the show was tailored specifically for Dorian. The show was specifically targeted towards young audience.

This was followed by his proclamation of incarnation in 2013, which saw him gathering 12 devotees to himself. Just when his career seemed to be in the jeopardy of dying off, he pulled off the stunt and got himself worldwide fame, even though it was for negative reasons more.

Another incident that got him attention was his attempt to break into the castle of Los Angeles Star Academy, but was thrown out by the guards. Then he concluded the year 2013 with posting a picture of himself wearing Adam’s outfit, wishing his fans a happy 2013. Much to the dismay of any person who disliked him, his popularity was on the rise. There were even people who paid attention to his so called preaching. He kept continuing his regular appearance on the press and social media sites. He kept ranting about himself, and enjoyed the international recognition it was fetching him. Soon, to keep his followers hooked and growing, he posted the most controversial statement of his career (yet):

“Dorian Rossini is the God, Dorian Rossini is the best, Dorian Rossini is not afraid….I am perfection, I am reincarnation, I am too perfect, I am too good…”

This post created a blast among netizens all around the world. Various people of various faiths reacted differently. Some took offence at a young man showing the audacity to claim himself the god’s form on earth. Some even agreed with his words. Others simply saw it as a ploy to gain reach, although temporary. Indeed Dorian’s social media reach skyrocketed after an interview given in a bathtub, on an episode of LaConciergerie by JEREMSTAR, with the famous Youtuber Jeremster.

So how did he bring in the change and climb the latter of popularity?

Soon after his revelation, his roommate kicked him out, refusing to live with the so called ‘incarnation of God’. Because who can show the audacity to reside under the same roof with someone as important and omnipotent as God’s form on earth. Dorian found himself without a place to live. He ends up staying in a hotel and realises, even though he is such an important person, he was not as rich as he would have guessed. This realisation ended him up back on the streets. But he was not a man to give up; through Jerem Star’s camera, he gave a tour of his supposed living conditions, in the Paris metro.

People started guessing that Dorian would be making a comeback with something spiritual and virtuous, leaving that path the only way to salvage what little was left. But Dorian is a man much different from the mainstream. Dorian tried to make a statement with an appearance on the show Secret Story, but was assaulted by a TF1 order service for no fault of his own. The information was provided by the popular media journalist Mr. Morandini. This led to strife between the show’s director and Dorian, and left him booted from yet another show.

The accidental noticing of Dorian Rossini

Dorian Rossini was still convinced that his road back to fame lay in the television industry, and that it was the best path for him. He joined the show LA Maison du Bluff, but realised that much like his previous home, even the show was not ready to cast the living reincarnation of God. The next step he took to keep himself in the limelight was to start his own web reality show, The Gospel.

In 2014 Dorian got into frequent arguments with a singer named Zaho, over the Morandini set. Their clashes were so bad that every face off got worse than the last one. This caught the eye of producer Matthieu Delormeau, seeing in him huge potential. He contacted some of his friends in the same profession, fetching him invites to other shows on the channel. In 2015 Dorian was lucky enough to land up in shows aired during the private access show hours, and do things his way.

Soon enough Dorian gets the opportunity of being coached by Bob Sinclair, helping him climb the steps of becoming a DJ. This proved to be a blessing for him, helping him fulfil his most common desire- to be back in limelight.  The next two years work out extremely well for Dorian. It was seen that Google searches on Dorian Rossini had increased manifold in 2017, becoming one of the top searched terms. This part of his career was very different from what it had been like previously. The exact term that was searched the most was “how to meet Dorian Rossini”. Dorian, the self proclaimed incarnation of God, had finally reached peak of popularity, proven via the fact that he was one of the most searched terms in organic Google search index. At present, he makes more than a million a month, his popularity having steadily grown ever since.

The trend has gone viral, amny believing it to be a new episode in clicking selfies.

Dorian currently works as a musician. So far, he has averted making controversial statements, but his past actions can be said to considerably contribute in making him so popular.

Z Library and the Universal Desire to Learn

0
z library

People have chased knowledge since the first fire lit a dark cave. One person shared a story and another passed it on. That simple act still lives today. Books remain a bridge between minds across time and place. An e library now carries that bridge into homes trains and quiet midnight rooms. Learning no longer sits behind tall walls or locked doors. It moves like water through daily life.

A Place Where Curiosity Keeps Moving

Many people search for answers in the same way travelers search for roads. Some seek skill while others seek comfort or fresh ideas. Through Z-library users can access a broad and diverse range of books that support study work and personal growth. The collection feels less like a store and more like a busy market square where every shelf opens another path.

z library reading

The wish to learn often begins with small moments. A question appears during breakfast. A thought grows during a late walk home. One page leads to another and soon a new subject takes root. That quiet chain reaction gives reading its lasting power. Like an old jazz record spinning in a dim café knowledge builds rhythm over time.

Learning Fits Into Ordinary Life

People once treated libraries like distant monuments. Today reading slips into daily habits with ease. A phone on a train ride can hold years of human thought. A short break at work can become time for reflection. Knowledge travels light now and that changes the pace of life in subtle ways.

Some habits help this process grow stronger:

Small Reading Sessions Build Strong Habits

Long study hours often feel heavy like carrying stones uphill. Short reading sessions work in another way. Ten quiet minutes each day can shape memory and focus over time. Many people return to reading during calm moments before sleep or during travel. Those steady habits create a sense of progress without pressure. Like watering a plant each morning the effect seems small at first yet deep roots form beneath the surface.

Different Voices Create Wider Thinking

A single point of view can feel like staring through one narrow window. Reading across many subjects opens the room. History science art and culture often connect in surprising ways. One idea sparks another and the mind begins to link patterns with ease. This wider thinking supports creativity and helps people understand the world with more depth and patience.

Easy Access Keeps Knowledge Alive

Knowledge fades when access becomes difficult. Easy access keeps curiosity active. A reader who finds material without delay often stays engaged longer. That smooth path matters more than many people realize. The old saying about striking while the iron is hot fits well here. Interest grows best when discovery feels natural and open.

That steady access shapes modern reading habits in quiet but lasting ways.

Books Still Carry Human Warmth

Z Library and the Universal Desire to Learn

Technology changes tools yet human nature stays familiar. People still seek meaning comfort and connection through words. An e-library like Z library does more than store information. It keeps ideas moving between generations. A thought written years ago can still reach someone during a hard season or a hopeful one.

Stories and knowledge have always traveled together like two musicians sharing the same stage. One teaches facts while the other teaches feeling. That balance explains why reading still matters in busy modern life. The hunger to learn never vanished. It only found new roads.

Why Ethical Diamond Engagement Rings Reflect a New Kind of Commitment

An engagement ring has always symbolised commitment between two people. Today, however, that symbolism often extends further. Many couples are thinking not only about what their ring represents personally, but also about what it represents in a wider sense. Questions around sourcing, sustainability and long term impact are becoming part of the decision making process.

Within this shift, ethical diamond engagement rings have moved from niche consideration to mainstream conversation. They reflect a broader understanding that beauty and responsibility do not need to exist separately. For many, the ring is no longer just a token of love. It is also a reflection of shared values.

This added layer of intention has quietly reshaped engagement jewellery.

A broader definition of responsibility

In the past, ethical considerations were rarely discussed openly in the context of engagement rings. The focus tended to centre on cut, clarity and carat weight.

Now, responsibility often includes questions about how materials are sourced and what environmental or social impact may be involved. Ethical diamond engagement rings speak to this expanded awareness. They offer a way to align personal celebration with conscious choice.

The ring becomes part of a wider story rather than an isolated object.

The role of lab grown diamonds

Lab grown diamonds have played a significant role in making ethical considerations more accessible. Created in controlled environments, they offer the same visual and structural qualities as mined diamonds without the same extraction process.

For some couples, this choice is practical. For others, it feels philosophical. Either way, selecting a lab diamond often reflects a desire for transparency and traceability.

It allows the focus to remain on design and meaning while reducing uncertainty about origin.

Design that prioritises intention

Ethical diamond engagement rings are not defined by a single aesthetic. They span a wide range of contemporary styles, from minimal settings to more detailed compositions.

What unites them is intention. The design is chosen thoughtfully, often with long term wear in mind. Clean lines and balanced proportions frequently feature in these rings, reinforcing the idea that sustainability and timelessness can coexist.

The emphasis is on creating something lasting rather than trend driven.

Everyday wear and lasting relevance

Because engagement rings are worn daily, durability and practicality naturally come into focus. Ethical choices often go hand in hand with longevity.

A ring that is crafted to endure, both physically and stylistically, aligns with the values many couples hold. Rather than prioritising novelty, the design aims for relevance across decades.

The commitment symbolised by the ring is mirrored in its construction.

Quiet luxury rather than spectacle

There has been a broader cultural move towards quieter forms of luxury. Instead of overt display, many now prefer refinement that feels personal and understated.

Ethical diamond engagement rings often reflect this approach. Their appeal lies in balance and clarity rather than extravagance. The diamond remains central, but it is framed within a design that feels calm and intentional.

The ring communicates confidence without needing to announce itself.

Aligning values with aesthetics

Choosing an engagement ring has always involved balancing aesthetics with emotion. Increasingly, values are part of that equation.

For couples who prioritise environmental awareness or social responsibility, selecting an ethical diamond engagement ring can feel deeply aligned. The ring becomes an extension of how they already approach life.

This alignment often strengthens emotional connection to the piece.

Transparency as part of modern jewellery

Transparency has become a defining feature of many industries, and jewellery is no exception. Consumers now expect clarity around sourcing and production.

Ethical diamond engagement rings reflect this expectation. Knowing where a diamond comes from and how it was created adds an additional layer of reassurance. It shifts the narrative from assumption to understanding.

The ring feels considered from every angle.

Longevity beyond trends

While interest in sustainability may feel contemporary, the desire for longevity is timeless. Rings that avoid excessive ornamentation and focus on proportion tend to age gracefully.

Ethical diamond engagement rings often sit comfortably within this framework. Their designs favour balance over novelty, ensuring they remain relevant as styles evolve.

The ring is chosen not for a single moment, but for the years that follow.

A symbol shaped by modern priorities

Modern relationships are often built on shared values and open conversation. Engagement jewellery has naturally evolved alongside these dynamics.

An ethical diamond engagement ring symbolises more than romance. It reflects collaboration, awareness and intention. The decision becomes part of the couple’s story, representing not just how they feel about one another, but how they approach the world.

The ring carries meaning that extends beyond aesthetics.

Why ethical diamond engagement rings continue to resonate

The enduring appeal of ethical diamond engagement rings lies in their balance. They offer the brilliance and beauty traditionally associated with diamonds while acknowledging contemporary concerns.

As engagement jewellery continues to evolve, designs that align emotional significance with conscious choice naturally stand out. Ethical rings do exactly that. They feel thoughtful rather than automatic.

In a jewellery landscape shaped increasingly by awareness and intention, ethical diamond engagement rings represent a new kind of commitment. One that honours love, while also reflecting the values that shape modern life.

How to Diversify Your Traffic Sources to Ensure Sustainable Business Growth

0

Many companies fail to notice they’re dealing with a traffic issue until it becomes critical. Whether due to a sudden algorithm change, an ad account suspension, or even just a poorly timed product launch, it’s extremely common for nearly half of a company’s revenue to disappear literally overnight. And since there are rarely any obvious signs of this issue occurring (aside from the last-minute panic as it does), the problem quietly destroys the business from the inside out.

The Single Point Of Failure Problem

A major update from Google could nullify years of SEO efforts within days. Missing a Facebook snippet in a policy violation – or receiving a perceived violation, conflicting signal, or some other vagary – can halt an account with thousands in spend just like that. These aren’t isolated incidents. They’re part and parcel of running a modern business. And invariably the most painful hits are taken by companies that spend almost all their acquisition budget in one place.

sustainable business growth

That’s the single point of failure issue. It’s the same reasoning that’s used for supply chains and financial portfolios: the more you concentrate something, the more fragile it becomes. DTC companies are particularly susceptible to feeling it because, unlike the old guard, they only have one channel to depend on for access in the first place.

That also means they have no revenue buffer when something goes wrong. And while it might sound grandiose, one algorithm shift can and has sunk companies. They’ve popped up seemingly every week over the past year, in fact.

Balancing High-Intent and High-Volume Traffic

All web traffic doesn’t have the same value. So a reasonable media mix should take that into account. For instance, “high-intent” traffic – that is, people looking for exactly the product you’re selling – tends to convert well. However, it’s expensive and can make up only so much demand. “High-volume” traffic – for instance through display and pop formats, or programmatic ads – typically has a lower CPM but, since it’s a top-of-funnel approach, it requires a more general message.

Both are essential: search-based channels are great for letting “high intent” traffic find you, “high-volume” acts as a way to create demand for your products.

Multi-channel strategies typically have a 250% better engagement rate than single-channel ones (Wolfgang Digital). The reason is simply that different people spend their time in different places. If yours is a paid strategy, you’ll want to be in each of those places.

The right question here isn’t “Which channel works best?” as per the last-click model, but more “Which role does each channel play?” Often, a channel meant to bring you to your next customer is excluded when its discovery role doesn’t show up in the final numbers. But there’s no doubt you are missing out if you decide to switch it off.

Finding Cheaper Reach With Alternative Ad Formats

Ad fatigue is a common issue every marketer faces. When a specific audience is exposed to the same type of ad over and over again, its engagement toward the ad decreases substantially. This results in the decrease of return on ads spend (ROAS) and increase in the cost per action (CPA).

The same principle applies to any ad format. Running the same display, video, or search ad for months will lead to ad fatigue making your target audience oblivious to your ad. Given that search engine and social media platforms are the biggest competitors out there and ads on these platforms might cost a fortune, a winning solution might be to explore popunder traffic advertising and other ad formats not many competitors use.

A Framework For Testing Without Overcommitting

An appropriate budget allocation for traffic testing is generally 70/20/10. 70% is spent on channels with a track record – you know the cost to acquire a customer and that hasn’t changed much recently. 20% goes to a couple of channels that you’re intentionally scaling up because the preliminary results suggest they’re strong performers. 10% is for experimental stuff – brand new networks, brand new ad types or channels, things where you can’t even measure impression share.

How to Diversify Your Traffic Sources to Ensure Sustainable Business Growth

That 10% is how you escape your local maximum. But you don’t want to spend enough that failing tests brings down your whole acquisition house of cards. The key discipline here is patience. New traffic sources almost never perform as well as established ones in the first 30 days. The benchmark shouldn’t be “did this beat our best channel immediately” but “does the trend suggest this is worth moving into the 20% bucket.”

Landing Pages Are Not Optional Infrastructure

Having diverse sources of traffic is great, but it’s not enough. It won’t generate growth or positive ROI if all those streams of visitors are feeding into a single, non-optimized destination. A homepage can’t possibly be exactly right for everyone you want to attract. They’ll all bounce and wonder what your ad was thinking.

Each entry point needs a tailored landing page. A visitor arriving from a display ad has no context. Someone coming from a retargeting campaign already knows the brand. Someone from a search ad typed a specific query. Sending high-volume traffic to a generic page wastes the spend – not because the channel was wrong, but because the landing experience didn’t match the visitor’s starting point.

One dedicated landing page per traffic source or campaign type isn’t excessive. It’s the minimum that makes diversification actually work.

Build The Redundancy Before You Need It

Diversifying your sources of traffic helps protect your revenue stream. You should invest in building and nurturing different traffic sources before it’s too late. After your primary source dries up, the cost and effort of getting others flowing will skyrocket. It’s not impossible, but a well-diversified portfolio takes time to build.

20 Kind Habits to Adopt in New Year 2026

Letter board with motivational quote. New year resolutions and goal setting

With the end of the year 2025, the new year is around the corner. The New Year is all about new beginnings, hopes, and bringing all the positive vibes into our lives. What could be a better start to this new year than adopting habits that are kind not only to our mind and soul, but also to nature and the environment? Let’s explore 20 such habits that you can adopt to create a more positive, sustainable year by emphasizing small and consistent actions over drastic changes.

MIND AND SOUL

Gratification

The environment we are living in always gives us a few moments that make our lives a little joyful or easier in some way or another. Taking a moment to be thankful to people or nature that make our lives more beautiful with their support and presence can shift your focus from getting overwhelmed to abundance.

Appreciating Small Moments

We are all surrounded by so much work and various purposes that we almost forget to notice the fascinating nature around us and how it makes our lives so peaceful in times of personal mayhem. Pausing to notice these senses, like the cool breeze in hot weather, the fragrance of a flower, or the sky twinkling with pretty stars on a quiet night, can give you a break from the regular chaos and calm your nerves with little effort.

New Learnings

kind habits for new year

Since it is new year, when would be a better time to start learning that one hobby you have wished for the longest time? Take the first step towards unexplored experiences and crack open your undiscovered potential in 2026! Whether it’s reading, music, guitar, or hiking, make space for these in your busy schedule to make your new year more fun and productive. Be kind to yourself!

Setting Tiny Goals

Setting major, long-term goals is helpful, but often overwhelming to achieve, as appreciation and a feeling of achievement that keeps us moving in the direction of progress arrive quite late. A better alternative is to be kind to yourself by setting up smaller goals that can be achieved in a short time, without making you feel burdened. Smaller achievements can also help keep track of your progress and might feel rewarding.

Empathy and Reduced Judgments

Human beings are the most conscious beings amongst all other species, making them more powerful than others. But as we know, “with great power comes greater responsibility,” we need to be the kinder species that carries empathy in our hearts for people and nature around us. Being a little less judgmental towards others and more introspective toward ourselves can help make room for acceptance, gratitude, and forgiveness. This helps in building a more focused and compassionate mind, which actually is an achievement.

BODY AND HEALTH

Hydrate Yourself

With the everyday rush and hustle, we often ignore our daily basic requirements. Developing a kind habit to keep track of your hydration can be a small but healthy change to adapt to this new year. Buying a cool sipper or keeping a reminder to drink more water can help develop this habit and complete that “3 litres of water every day” goal.

Fix Your Sleep

As we keep progressing in our professional lives, or due to personal choices and commitments, we often ignore the importance of sleep. An average person requires at least 8 hours of sleep to function properly. Improper sleep schedule often results in compromised mental and physical health. Be kind to your body and give it the rest and break it deserves by building a healthy sleep schedule.

Eat Right

vegan meal

This new year, gift your body nutrition and care it deserves. There is no better way to be kind to your body than by eating nourishing and wholesome food; the best kindest gift we can give to ourselves is whole foods plant-based diet. Our body is always there for us to protect against stress and diseases, but we sometimes forget to take good care of it. Starting a healthy eating habit can be your way to thank your body and mind for their tireless role in keeping you functional throughout.

Move in Bursts

What could be a better way to start a new year than completing the resolution that you kept procrastinating? You guessed it right! Starting your workout routine. Workout does not always need to be heavy dumbbells or tiring Pilates. Start slow with 10-minute walks, stretches, or grooving on your favourite music.

Managing Burnout

It’s always better to listen to your body before it’s too late. Hustling and juggling amidst work and personal commitments often cause stress and burnout that could manifest in major health implications. Listening to your body and slowing down to take a deep breath helps clear your thoughts and calm you down. Being gentler to yourselves is the kindest habit to welcome 2026.

RELATIONSHIP AND SOCIAL KINDNESS

More Listening

In a fast-moving world, giving someone your full attention is one of the most meaningful acts of kindness. In everyday conversations, we often focus on speaking more than listening to others. Pausing to listen could be your new kinder habit to make meaningful conversations in a world full of quick chats.

Build Connections

Meaningful connections could help pave the way for you to enhance your personal and professional growth, opening doors to new opportunities, collaborations, and insights. By fostering relationships with diverse individuals, you can gain different perspectives, share resources, and create a supportive network that encourages innovation and motivation. Ultimately, these connections can lead to a fulfilling and enriched life, both socially and career-wise.

Declutter Your Space

Organizing your physical surroundings helps you unwind your brain from regular chaos and stress. Making a habit of regular decluttering can help you clear your mind and also bring you calm in ways you could never imagine.

Checking in on Loved ones

kind habits to adopt

Our relationship thrives when kindness becomes a habit rather than an occasional effort. The people we love make this world a better place for us to live. Sometimes, being occupied with our own issues, we often tend to take people we love for granted. Checking on them will bring you close to them and add freshness to your bonds.

Small Gestures, Big Impacts

People around you often notice your gestures, the way you treat people during ordinary moments. It often defines the strength of our connection and the importance you give to those connections. Making a habit of establishing mindful communication and showing genuine care for others’ feelings strengthens your relationships kindly, with minimal effort.

NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT

Eco-Friendly Choices

Caring for the planet is one of the most meaningful long-term acts of kindness. Since our environment is overwhelmed with resources that cause harm to the planet, making our personal choices that are friendly to nature is the kindest habit through which we can contribute our bit to make this planet a better place.

Sustainable Consumption

This planet does not only belong to us, but also to the coming generations. The choices we make today will affect the lifestyles and well-being of future generations. So, it becomes important that we adopt new habits that are sustainable and limit the exploitation of natural resources.

Conservation Practices Kind Habits

Many natural resources that we utilize for our survival are limited to some extent. Therefore, it becomes a necessity to take steps towards conserving these resources and protecting them from depletion.

Animal Care

kind habits of loving animals

This beautiful planet is also home to many innocent non-humane animals that make our surroundings fascinating and cheerful. These creatures deserve our love and compassion as they are vulnerable to environmental harshness and adversities, and even exploitation by humans. This new year, choose kindness for our planet mates and make their lives a little easier. You can make it your habit to feed at least one animal every day; it need not be a big budget, you can always keep aside little amount like Rs 10-20 INR (or whatever your budget allows) to feed the animals around you. Apart from this, you can always rescue animals and donate to animal shelters that carry out this good work.

Another kind habit to adopt this year can be to bid forever adieu to animal exploitation and shift to plant-based vegan diet. It’s my favourite of all these kind habits.

Responsible Travel and Tourism

Travelling and tourism are popular recreational choices. We can make this choice a kinder one by adapting habits that do not pose any harm to the environment and wildlife of the place we are travelling to. Choosing responsible travel involves respecting local cultures, minimizing waste, and conserving natural resources, which can help protect cultural heritage and ensure that future generations can experience the same beauty we enjoy today.

As we step into 2026, let’s choose kindness as a way of life. Through small, mindful habits towards our mind, body, relationships, and the environment, we can shape not only our well-being but also the world around us. Adapting such habits might seem small effort, but constant practice of these habits leaves a greater impact. By choosing kindness each day, you can create a year that is lighter, more meaningful, and deeply kind in every aspect of your life.

From Confluence to Gorge: Exploring Beautiful Sangama & Mekedatu

0
Sangama

A refreshing trek in nature is one of the best ways to deal with the quick pace of city life. Sangama and Mekedatu are two very underrated places that offer a rejuvenating holiday.

Just a short drive south of Bengaluru, two river landmarks sit a few kilometres apart but feel worlds different. Sangama features two rivers meeting in harmony, while at Mekedatu, you find a powerful river rushing through narrow rocky cliffs.

Together, the pair make a classic day out that mixes gentle riverside time with a striking slice of geology.

Sangama: Where Rivers Meet

Sangama is where the Arkavathi River joins the mighty Kaveri. In the drier months, the river spreads wide and shallow.

Sangama travel

Many visitors like to wade into the cool water, relax by the bank, or enjoy a simple picnic with loved ones. The sound of flowing water and the sight of green hills around make Sangama very soothing.

During the rainy season, the rivers change their mood. The calm waters turn fast and strong, and you can see their raw power — a reminder of how nature shifts with the seasons.

Simple food stalls appear on busy weekends, and many people pause here for photos, shade, and a riverside break. Do note that authorities sometimes restrict access or bathing when releases from upstream dams raise levels.

For group outings, hiring a tempo traveller in Bangalore makes travel easier and more fun, as everyone can ride together without any worry.

The Story Behind Mekedatu

Mekedatu is where the wide Kaveri squeezes into a rocky slit. Local accounts say the river can be around 150 metres wide at Sangama, but narrows to roughly 10 metres as it rushes through the granite at Mekedatu.

Mekedatu means “goat’s leap” in Kannada. According to local legend, a goat once escaped from a tiger by jumping across the gorge.

Mekedatu

The leap was possible because the gorge is very narrow at one point, even though the river flowing through it is fierce. This story gave the place its name.

When you reach Mekedatu by booking a cab service in Bangalore, you’ll be amazed by the sight. The water rushes through the rocky gorge with a loud roar, showing its true strength.

The sound of the rushing current, the spray of water hitting the rocks, and the steep cliffs on both sides make the experience unforgettable. It is both beautiful and a little scary to watch, reminding you of the untamed power of nature.

Beauty of Nature and Wildlife

The charm of Sangama and Mekedatu is not just in the rivers. The entire region is surrounded by greenery, hills, and forests.

Early in the morning, you can see mist rising from the river, making the view magical and calm, almost like a painting. This area is also home to many birds; you can spot colourful kingfishers, parrots, and even eagles flying high.

If you’re lucky, you may also see deer, monkeys, or other small animals moving around in the wild. Nature lovers and photographers find endless reasons to capture the beauty here, from changing skies to playful wildlife.

A reliable cab service in Bangalore allows you to witness this beauty first-hand while allowing a seamless commute.

How to Reach Sangama & Mekedatu

Sangama and Mekedatu lie inside the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, roughly 90–100 kilometres from Bengaluru, depending on the route. Many visitors count on 2–3 hours by road via Kanakapura.

While there are buses, the easiest way to travel is by booking a private vehicle. If you’re in a group, a tempo traveller in Bangalore is a perfect choice.

From Confluence to Gorge: Exploring Beautiful Sangama & Mekedatu

From the confluence, it’s about 3.5–4 kilometres downstream to the gorge. To reach the gorge, you first cross the river at Sangama (by boat/coracle when water is high, or by wading only when levels are low and officials allow it).

From the opposite bank, a forest bus plies the rough track to Mekedatu and back. Services usually wind up by about 5:30 pm, so plan your return accordingly.

The best season to plan a trip is from October to March. The weather is pleasant, and the water level is safe to enjoy.

Summer can be very hot and tiring for a long trek. Monsoon makes the rivers dangerous, so it is best to avoid visiting during heavy rains.

Wrapping Up

Sangama and Mekedatu are perfect day trips from Bangalore for anyone who loves nature, adventure, and peaceful surroundings. Sangama offers calm waters and a scenic setting, while Mekedatu shows the raw force of the Kaveri as it cuts through rocks.

Together, they give you an unforgettable experience—a peaceful confluence followed by a show-stopping gorge. For a safe and comfortable journey, book with Savaari Car Rentals, India’s largest chauffeur-driven car rental company, and enjoy a stress-free getaway.

In this era of technology and globalization, we have grown greedy and over consumption is at its peak. While doing so we totally forget about the harm we cause to the environment. With a little imagination and consideration, we can create eco-friendly and meaningful ways to celebrate. It is now time to act more responsibly and give something back to nature, even in times when we are celebrating. Don’t you agree?

Now you might ask, “How to decorate sustainably when the party is all about glitters and being environment friendly goes entirely against these ideas?” Don’t worry, we have got you covered. We’ve got 15 sustainable Christmas and New Year decoration ideas to make your place aesthetic and fancy too!

15 Sustainable Decor Ideas for Christmas and New Year

Cardboard Banners

Parties are all about adding your personal touch to the decorations and what is more creative than creating your own banners. Instead of throwing away the delivery cardboard boxes, you can make signs like  “Merry Christmas” or “Happy New Year” and paint them. Trust me, these signs will definitely stand out more than any plastic banners.

Eco Friendly Balloons

Instead of buying rubber and plastic balloons try using biodegradable ones this time. The balloons look very attractive but are extremely harmful for the environment. These biodegradable balloons are a more eco friendly option. You can also try making soap bubbles by mixing dish wash soap with water.

Sustainable Confetti

It looks so beautiful when confetti falls from above and you are all soaked up in it (ignore the mess, we will clean it later). But have you realised that the colourful confetti is often made of plastic. There are options for reusable confetti cannon available in the market but let’s look at some sustainable ones too.

Try replacing plastic confetti and glitter with flower petals and dried flowers this time. Adding fragrant herbs to it will make the room aromatic too. Trust me, it’s gonna be an amazing Christmas decor.

Streamers

Now that the entire decoration is eco friendly, why leave the streamers behind. You should definitely try replacing the twirly plastic strands with that of crepe paper. Crepe paper is colourful and also reusable. Fabric straps are also a good alternative.

Another alternative is that of flower garlands too. Add your favorite colourful flowers in a thread and brighten the entire room.

Christmas Special Centerpiece

Replace your huge plaster of paris and marble sculptures with a dried branch and see the difference it will make. You can also hang small ornaments of that branch to make it look more attractive. This can also act as a replacement for the Christmas tree. Since it is already dried, you are also not harming the environment by disturbing its ecological balance.

Ornaments

The plastic Christmas ornaments available in the market are very eye-catching but sadly not very eco friendly. They use a lot of plastic which goes against our aim of making the party a sustainable one with all sustainable decor. A very innovative option for this is actually knitting or crocheting ornaments. They look adorable and are made of wool making it reusable too. Additionally you learn a new skill if you do not know how to knit or crochet already!

Clay Sculptures

Moulding clay is one of the most enjoyable things to play with. Did you know that you can also dry it, paint it a bit and create beautiful decoration pieces? It acts as a great pastime and boosts your creativity too! Pierce a hole through it and hang it on your Christmas tree to make it look prettier! Do give it a try.

Pompoms and Tassels

Who does not love tassels and pom poms! But not every time is it an environmentally friendly decoration item. Paper works as a great alternative to these tassels. The silver lining of the chips packets also acts as a perfect alternative. Vegan acrylic wool too is a great option. After all everybody appreciates the idea of upcycling. So, let’s have a sustainable new year this time.

Decoration Pieces

Pine cones, shells collected on the beach, random pebbles that you have been collecting all your life can be put to the right use for this festive season. A pine cone tree will steal everyone’s attention too. You can even make structures using these natural materials and elevate the look of your party!

Wrapping Paper

Throw those plastic wrapping papers away for we will give you a great alternative – newspapers! Newspapers once you read them are of no use. Newspaper wrapping is a simple, eco-friendly alternative to traditional gift wrapping. Instead of using glossy, non-recyclable paper, wrapping gifts in old newspapers can reduce waste and promote recycling. This sustainable practice not only minimizes environmental impact but also adds a unique, creative touch to your presents.

You can personalize newspaper wraps by using sections of the paper that reflect the recipient’s interests, like comics, travel stories, or art. Adding a reusable ribbon or twine can further enhance the look while keeping the wrapping completely sustainable. Newspaper wrapping is a fun, stylish, and environmentally responsible way to wrap gifts.Trust us the receiver will love it.

Lights

Fairy lights and even bulbs look very pretty but run on electricity and are not environment friendly; so lemme share with you a perfect sustainable decor solution to replace them. A perfect alternative to them is natural light and candles. Candles made from soy wax are very sustainable and add to the aesthetic of the room. Adding fragrances to these candles will make it even better.

Lights using solar energy and LEDs will also help in producing less energy thus harming the environment a little less.

Light Holders

Coconut shell holders and coconut candle lanterns are a great replacement for the plastic bowls and glass holders. Coconut shell light holders are a beautiful, sustainable way to add a warm and rustic touch to your decor while reducing waste. Made from discarded coconut shells, these light holders repurpose natural materials that would otherwise be thrown away. They can be used as candles or lantern holders, creating a cozy, ambient glow.  Instead of throwing the shells away, they can be scraped, cleaned and the lights, candles can be placed in them to give it a Boho rustic look to add glam to your Christmas or new year sustainable decor.

Light Jars

What do you do with the glass jars after eating all the snacks from it? Throw? Wait, do not do that henceforth for we have an idea for you. Add your favourite lights in those jars and they will act as pretty corner pieces in your house. This way you are reusing the jars to its optimum capacity and also enhancing the look of your place. A must include in your sustainable decor list for new year.

Plants

Place them in corners to give a complete look to the place. Your family and friends are surely gonna love this natural and eco-friendly new year decor of yours.

Sofa Throws

Thrifting great pieces of linen, rugs and sofa throws instantly change the whole vibe of the room making it more cosy and warm. This winter season, you can try borrowing or renting these vintage rugs and impress all your guests while being sustainable too.

These sustainable decor hacks are just the tip of the iceberg of celebrating sustainably yet in a fancy manner. Leading a sustainable lifestyle is a slow yet gradual step. To sum up, celebrating in a sustainable manner is a great approach to lessen your influence on the earth while still having fun and creating memories. We may design celebrations that not only uphold our ideals but also safeguard the environment by using strategies like reducing waste, choosing eco-friendly presents, encouraging regional craftspeople, and choosing environmentally responsible travel alternatives.

Every tiny adjustment, like using reusable decorations or choosing mindful foods, adds to a bigger, group effort to be more sustainable. By making thoughtful choices, we may celebrate in ways that are both responsible and pleasurable, guaranteeing future generations a healthy future.

December has arrived and we are excited for Christmas and a snowy new year. Along with pink winters, and pretty snow, the citrus season has also arrived. These citruses are not just ordinary fruits; they can also beautify your Christmas décor and add a refreshing fragrance to your surroundings.

What are Dried Citrus Ornaments?

Dried citrus ornaments are made from citrus fruits, especially oranges. Oranges are sliced and dried in a preheated oven, microwave, airfryer or dehydrator for 3–4 hours. These dried slices can be hung with the help of an ornament hook, or you can make a garland from these dried slices. These dried citrus ornaments are very easy to make, inexpensive, and add an extraordinary charm to the entire Christmas decoration.

Things You Need to Make Dried Citrus Ornaments

Dried yellow and brown fruit pieces lie on a dark wooden table

  • Any citrus fruit, such as oranges, lemons, or limes,
  • A slicing knife
  • Parchment paper or cookie sheets
  • Ornament hooks, twine, or ribbons as per your choice.
  • Oven or microwave

Step-By-Step Guide to Making Dried Citrus Christmas Ornaments

Step 1: Slice the citrus

With the help of a sharp knife, slice the citrus fruits into thin slices. Citrus fruits lose their colon on drying, so choose bright-colored fruits. Try to cut all the slices evenly.

Step 2: Dehydrate the slices

Preheat your oven to 180–200 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, place the parchment paper over an oven tray, and then arrange the citrus slices on the parchment paper or cookie sheet. Once the oven is preheated, place your tray in the oven, set the temperature to 200 degrees, and let the citrus dry in the oven for 3–4 hours.

Step 3: Rest the slices

After the slices are dried in the oven, take them out and let them rest for at least 1 hour so that the dried slices can cool down and take on the proper shape and color.

Step 4: Hook the slices

Once these slices are ready, hook them with ornament hooks and hang them on the Christmas tree. You can also make a garland from this slice by using twine and beads to give it a more vintage look.

Tips to Make Perfect Dried Citrus Ornaments

  • Dried citrus takes time to completely dry without burning. Be patient with them, as they may take several hours (3–4 hours, approx.). Sometimes, if the citrus is more ripened, it might take more than 4 hours before they get ready.
  • To add varying colors to your decoration, you can try other citrus fruits such as limes, grapefruit, and lemons. They look lovely and add an extra charm to the decoration.
  • Air drying and pat drying with the help of a paper towel can help soak up the extra moisture and speed up the dehydrating process.
  • Once they are dehydrated, let them rest for an hour or so to finish curling and take the proper colors.

Creative Ways to Use Dry Citrus Ornaments in Your Christmas Party Decor

Christmas ornaments used as gift
  1. Dried citrus ornament wreath

Dried citrus can be used to make a beautiful wreath. You can use straight pins to attach fruit slices to a cardboard or foam wreath, covering the entire foam wreath. Sprinkle some glitter powder on the slices to make them more attractive. To hang the wreath, tie a length of thick ribbon into a bow and attach it to the finished wreath with pins.

  1. A fragrant centerpiece

Christmas dinner tables also need a dress-up. A centerpiece with dried citrus ornaments and eucalyptus leaves can be a good option to give your dinner table a low-key, modern, but simple vibe. Place a light-colored tablecloth on the dining table. Place dried orange and lemon slices throughout the centerpiece, along with your favourite flowers and eucalyptus leaves, to complete the decoration.

  1. Dried orange slice ornament

Christmas is incomplete without a Christmas tree. To give your Christmas tree a vintage look, decorate the tree with dried orange slices by hooking it with ornament hooks. People often debate over their favourite vacation places – mountains or beaches. Supporters of both the categories have strong arguments of why the one is better over the other. The world is filled with serene places that are yet to be explored. While travelling for our pleasure, we must keep in mind that Nature exists in the most marvelous ways and preserving it is our responsibility too.

Going on a trip that involves more than just seeing natural landmarks or environmentally varied locations is known as ecotourism. It’s about carefully and sustainably traveling to a place while keeping an eye on environmental preservation. While providing visitors with the opportunity to experience nature, ecotourism organizations, tours, and groups aim to inform people about conservation initiatives.

Origin of Ecotourism

A conservationist by the name of Hector Ceballos-Lascurain is often credited with the first definition of ecotourism in 1987, that is, “tourism that consists in travelling to relatively undisturbed or uncontaminated natural areas with the specific object of studying, admiring and enjoying the scenery and its wild plants and animals, as well as any existing cultural manifestations (both past and present) found in these areas.”

ecotourism

Since 1990, The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), a nonprofit organization, has worked to advance ecotourism. This organization defines ecotourism as “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people, and involves interpretation and education.” According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), ecotourism is an important conservation tactic.

Principles of Ecotourism

The goal of ecotourism is to bring together sustainable travel, communities, and conservation. Accordingly, the following eco tourism principles ought to be embraced by individuals who carry out, take part in, and promote ecotourism activities:

  • Reduce the negative effects on behavior, psychology, social interaction, and physical health.
  • Develop respect and awareness for the environment and culture.
  • Ensure that guests and hosts have a good time.
  • Give conservation direct financial advantages.
  • Create monetary gains for the private sector and the community.
  • Provide guests with unforgettable interpretive experiences that contribute to increasing awareness of the political, environmental, and social environments of the host nations.
  • Create, build, and run low-impact facilities.
  • In order to empower the Indigenous People in your community, acknowledge their rights and spiritual beliefs and collaborate with them.

The East African country has some competitive advantages over its neighbors thanks to its rich natural resources, paired with the fact that it has allocated over 25% of its total area to wildlife national parks and protected areas. As a result, 90% of visitors to Tanzania are thought to be looking for ecotourism activities.

Although Tanzania is still frequently disregarded by American tourists, some of its most notable attractions are the Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar. In the well-known Ngorongoro Conservation area, for instance, visitors can embark on a walking safari tour; the proceeds benefit the Maasai people there.

The nation is also well-known for its chimpanzees, and Gombe National Park offers a number of ecotourism activities that directly support chimpanzee habitat conservation.

Galapagos Island

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism and the Directorate of the Galapagos National Park mandate that tour operators use less energy and water, recycle waste, purchase locally made products, pay fair wages to local workers, and assist them with further training. The official national park occupies 97% of the islands’ total land area.

The funds are utilized for initiatives including organic farming, community education, upskilling tourist industry employees, and reducing Bhutan’s carbon footprint from tourism.

Bhutan became the first carbon-negative nation in 2017 as a result. The nation absorbs more carbon dioxide than it emits!
