Mantra meditation
is a technique of mental, physical and spiritual healing by repeated chanting
of sounds known as mantras. Unlike other sound therapies that use different
instruments, music, and devices, this meditation uses different types of
mantras having a particular meaning and intonation. But to understand the
technique of mantra chanting meditation, we need to know the definition of a
mantra first.
What are mantras?
Mantra is a sacred Sanskrit word or
phrase which is derived from a combination of two words, man (meaning mind) and tra
(meaning instrument/tool). It is believed that there are 70 billion mantras and
each of them has a different meaning. Mantras can be a single word, phrase or a
sentence with a predefined meaning. The correct intonation of a mantra can
evoke its spiritual energy in the chanter’s body and mind.
Mantras – How they
work spiritually
When we repeatedly chant a mantra for a specific number of times, its vibrations resonate throughout the body and penetrate within all the cells and tissues of the body. In India, different deities are invoked with different mantras which are characteristically designed for them. So it is said when we repeatedly chant a mantra confined to a particular deity, we begin to vibrate within the frequency of that mantra. Mantra meditation works this way. The mantra possesses the energy of its respective deity, and we acquire the energy and qualities of the deity.
The science behind mantras – Mantra Meditation
According to Quantum Physics, every particle in nature has a wave counterpart. In other words, each particle vibrates at a particular frequency. Whether it’s a flower, animal, you or me, we all vibrate at our own frequency. And wherever there is vibration, there is energy. So in simple words, mantras are sound vibrations which have their own energy and frequency. Whenever we chant a mantra, it activates certain points in our body by resonance. Eventually, our body shifts to higher frequencies, in spiritual terms; which mean that we start to vibrate at higher and deeper levels, emanating a more positive frequency.
But to get the highest benefits, you should chant the mantra with its correct intonation and complete awareness. You need to take care of these things while chanting it. Because mantra meditation is not just about uttering a sound – it is a sound with phenomenal consequence.
How to choose your
right mantra
Now, this is one of the trickiest parts where you usually get stuck with – choosing your right mantra. Always remember, every mantra works for you. You can just take any one of it and start chanting. But the problem is whether you are able to like it or not. If you don’t invest a little bit of emotion to it, it will be hard for you to relate with. And that will again lead to distraction.
So let’s see, what are the ways of choosing our perfect mantra:-
Be sure about your intention for doing mantra meditation.
Check if there is any specific mantra coding your particular intention.
If yes, try chanting that mantra for a week or two, to see whether it works for you or not. And if there isn’t any mantra as such, better opt for a universal mantra.
If you feel like your mantra is not working, then change it. This simply means you are not able to imbibe the meaning of that particular mantra. Change to something you can relate to, or are attracted to.
But as I said earlier, every mantra is designed to work for you. It’s all about the intensity with which you can relate to it.
Some mantras to get started with:-
1. Aum
Aum is known as the Pranavamantra, the sacred syllable because it symbolizes Brahman itself i.e the Supreme reality. It eliminates your ego and illumines you with the Divine light. It is a root mantra from which all other mantras have emerged.
2. Ram
The word Ram is always associated with Lord Ram in Hindu culture. But the Ram mantra is a universal mantra, not associated with any deity in particular. It refers to the purest self of the being. It has a similar power as of the Pranava mantra.
Meaning – We meditate on the existence Absolute (Divine Mother), Creator of the three dimensions (physical, mental and spiritual); we contemplate upon your divine light. May you illumine our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge.
3. Krishna Maha-mantra
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
This is considered as the maha-mantra (supreme mantra) of Bhakti yoga. It is the repetition of different names of Krishna, Rama, and Hari. All are the same.
4. Aum Namah Shivay
In Hindu scriptures, Lord Shiva is considered as the ultimate destroyer, but He is also considered as the inner self that one retains even after everything ends. It is an important mantra in Shaivism. Chanting this mantra basically means to align with the absolute reality.
5. Buddhist mantra meditation
Om Mani Padme Hum
This is a very important mantra in Buddhism. It translates as: ‘the jewel is in the Lotus’. It is used to invoke compassion and peace within oneself.
6. Peace Mantra meditation
Om Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya Mrtyor-Maa Amrtam Gamaya Om Shanti Shaantih Shaantihi
This known as Shanti (peace) mantra and translates as ‘Lead me from untruth to truth. Lead me from darkness to the light. Lead me from death to immortality. Om peace, peace, peace!’
Team India have selected wrist spinners Washington Sundar and Rahul Chahar for the three T20Is against South Africa. Since the South African batsmen do not have a good record against Indian wrist spinners, it will be difficult for them to tackle the duo.
According to the India vs South Africa schedule, the three matches will be played in Dharamshala, Chandigarh and Bangalore. While the venue of the first T20I will aid the pacers, the next two are likely to have spinning tracks on show.
Talking about Washington Sundar, he likes to open the bowling attack and bowl off-spin with the new ball. He has a good experience of bowling in the powerplay. The Proteas batsmen will have to negate his opening overs and concede a wicket as he is less effective outside the powerplay. In the recently concluded tour to West Indies, his figures in the powerplay were 4-1-19-2 and outside the powerplay were 4-0-34-1.
He is also a bowler who likes to read the batsman well and bowl variations according to the type of batsman. Therefore, it is quite important to read his hand carefully and understand the type of delivery he is going to bowl. So the mantra against Sundar will be to handle him with care in the powerplay and not go for the big shots early on; and attack him if he comes on to bowl later in the innings.
The other wrist spinner is a leggie who has a nice release from the top. Rahul makes it tougher for the batsmen who like to play off the backfoot. It is not easy to cut him towards point as his ball zips after pitching. The key is to play him either on the front foot or by stepping out. The second option is only good if the batsman possesses good footwork and can get to the pitch of the ball easily. It will be a disaster if the ball pitches away from the batsman after stepping out because he likes to turn the ball by a fair margin.
He has played just 1 T20I for India and did not have a good outing. Although, he impressed in the IPL for Mumbai Indians and India A tour to West Indies. The 20-year-old was brought on by the Mumbai Indians whenever they needed to attack the batsmen and pick up wickets in the middle overs of an innings. He is not accustomed to bowl in the powerplay but can give it a rip even in the flattest of tracks.
Chahar will continuously be coming at the batsman as f he likes to attack. It is on the batsman to calculate the risk and challenge his skills. The ideal plan for a batsman against him will be to stay patient and keep working him on the leg side till he comes out of his strong zone and bowls wide of off.
The duo has replaced Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in India’s T20I setup for a couple of series now and it will be exciting to keep checking live cricket score to keep a track of their performance against South Africa.

Brain hacking, also called mind hacking, is an application of some tools and techniques in a certain way, so as to trick your brain into believing things the way you want. It is the ‘intelligence factor’ that separates human beings from other species. The human mind has tremendous possibilities that one can ever think of. Isn’t it interesting to know that you can actually trick your mind to respond in a certain way, improve your intelligence and also enhance your cognitive skills!
In other words, brain hacking is your brain’s unique way of improving its normal functioning and increasing different dimensions. This is possible because your brain has the ability to improve its structure and functionality, also known as neuroplasticity. This is not just a fun technique, but also a key to evolving oneself in a higher way. Although there is a number of brain hacking techniques that you can apply, I have listed out only 5 hacks, easy but potent ones to trick your brain in minutes.
Smiling – Brain hack to feel happy naturally
You all must have noticed that when you are happy inside out for some reason, a beautiful upward curve shows up naturally on your face. When someone smiles at you, it radiates good vibrations in you and makes you pass a smile too. Smile is known to be very contagious as it lightens up the atmosphere and makes everyone feel good.
The act of smiling releases dopamine and serotonin – some of the ‘feel-good’ chemicals of the body. So the next time you are unhappy or agitated, do a little effort of smiling for some seconds. Your brain will get naturally tricked into thinking that you are happy and release some of your happy and stress-free hormones.
Studying at spaced intervals
I came to know about this brain hack from one of my History teacher way back in school. She advised me to study at spaced intervals, rather than cramming over the notes for hours at stretch. A 5-10 minute break between every 45 minutes of study proves to be very helpful to retain the information in your brain. This brain hack technique tricks your mind into believing that it is acquiring fresh information (without strain), even after hours of studying.
Raj Bapna, author of a famous book titled ‘Raj Bapna’s Mindpower Study Techniques’, has also talked about a similar brain hack technique which works wonders for students when studying for long hours. In his book, he has explained this in the form of a graph showing how one’s brain retains more information and sharper memory when short intervals are incorporated into studies. He has also shown a retarding- straight line graph depicting the stagnancy of memory when a person studies for long hours at a stretch.
Brain hacking with visualization
This is the simplest of all technique if you know how to use your imagination well. When you are sad, or you feel like things are not going your way, you should definitely try this. Try to visualize a wonderful scenario in mind intensely. Use all of your five senses to create that vision. This creates sensation and emotion in you and tricks your brain into believing the scenario.
For instance, I usually visualize myself in the midst of a forest sitting in a nearby tree or sitting on a rock and cleansing myself under a waterfall. I create the atmosphere of a forest, the sound of birds chirping around, the sensation of my foot on bare earth. As I slowly open my eyes, I feel so good mentally, as if everything that happened was real. This is the power of this simple brain hack technique. It alters your emotion and feelings.
Memory palace – A powerful brain hack technique
This is a powerful brain hack technique that helps to store and recall a lot of information especially long list of things. It’s very simple. Whenever you have to remember a large list of things, connect those words with the things that you already know. Like for example, you can create a memory map in your mind, and fit the new information into it so that your mind will be able to relate to it.
Form a memory palace (mind map) of your neighborhood in your mind. Divide your information and place each bit of it in a specific area of the map, like one into your nearby shop, one into a parlor, and so on. So the next time you want the list, you can simply recall your neighborhood map containing the stored information. Your brain associates an old memory with a new one and keeps a record of it easily.
Rewire your brain to shrink pain
Different brain hacking methods have been experimented to trick one’s brain to abate pain, physical or mental. Some of them are Mirror therapy, inverted binoculars, etc. But to use these, you need to possess certain tools. One of the simplest ways of tricking your brain into feeling less pain is breathing. Yes, you have read it right. You can shrink your pain by breathing in a certain way. This technique is known as bio-energetic breathing.
It is not like meditation where you are usually told to take slow and deep breaths. In this technique, you have to breathe as fast as you can for a span of up to 10 minutes. See that your inhalation and exhalation are deep and complete, and yet fast in pace. This, of course, doesn’t relax you; instead, it creates emotions in you and clears off any emotional blockages in your mind and body. This brain hack technique recreates your feelings and pumps out your pain in minutes.
So here ends my list of some cool and interesting brain hack techniques that will help rewire your brain in minutes. There are a number of other ways too that you can use to trick your brain. If you know about any other brain hack techniques, you can write them in the comments below.

First, it’s important for us to know what is loneliness. Loneliness has been defined differently by many. Oxford English Dictionary defines loneliness as “
Sadness because one has no friends or company.‘feelings of depression and loneliness’
The fact of being without companions; solitariness.
Loneliness is often defined in terms of one’s connectedness to others, or more specifically as “theunpleasant experience that occurs when a person’s network of social relations is deficient in some important way”
Psychologists have defined loneliness in a different sense pertaining to the mind, “as the distressing experience that occurs when one’s social relationships are perceived to be less in quantity, and especially in quality, than desired“.
Loneliness is a symptom of depression. Loneliness in its general sense means feeling low about being socially isolated from the people around us and from society at large.
Loneliness is a serious issue which can effect you at any age. These days generally people in their 30s are more likely to feel lonely. Feeling lonely is okay but if it is taking all the good opportunities from you to grow as a person then it is an issue to worry for. Even students are prone to loneliness as students really go through a high time in every field.
Ask yourself have I felt lonely, I am sure we all do feel lonely sometimes or the other. It’s quite natural for us to feel lonely in this fast-changing world where everything around us is changing rapidly from technology to our relationship with people around us. Loneliness is different for each individual as some people feel lonely sometimes or rarely or never or always. Loneliness is not a disease which cannot be cured one can easily get rid of it without doing much.
Here we bring you some tips which will help you to get rid away of loneliness
Don’t worry you are at right place as today we are going to give you some tips to get rid of loneliness.
1. Have A Good Talk

The first thing which one can do to get rid of loneliness is talking to someone. It can be anyone the people around you, your family members or your close friends or even strangers in short people who are ready to listen to you without judging you or blaming you always. Having a good talk with your teachers too with whom you feel connected will also help. If you are fortunate enough to live with your grandparents believe me spending time with them, mere listening to their meaningful stories and experiences you will feel much better. Spend time, have a talk with your grandparents and parents to help you.
You need not to always share your problems or things which are bothering you just having a good talk with them will make you realize how much blessed you are. If not grandparents or parents you can always have a heart to heart talk with your siblings or cousins who will understand you and will never make you feel lonely.
2. Listening to Music

The things which can’t be learned from the books are the things which we learn by our own experiences for that traveling is best as it soothes your mind by opening the hidden potential which was always within you lying somewhere deep down in your heart. Travel even if it is just a two days trip. Exploring the world you will realize the bountiful gifts of nature yourself and also the power in you to change your mind by looking deeper into yourself observe the world around you and then ask the question Am I really lonely? Believe me, you will get your answer yourself.

Yoga and meditation will awaken YOU as when you connect with the natural force behind everything you don’t need anything except a room with no disturbance. In the ancient times when yoga and meditation was prevalent, it was a cureness to loneliness. It will surely help you to transform you into a new you where you will not have a need to feel lonely.

Beautiful ballerina dancing in studio
The next thing which one can do to not to feel lonely is dancing to the beats of your favorite song. Dancing is also like therapy to forget all that is happening around or in your life. I have seen people who were really lonely but they never let the world know about their loneliness because when they danced it was their best performance which was quite showing on their face. Dancing is the best thing to do whenever you feel lonely. You don’t need to be best at it just close your room switch on the television or laptop search the best song raise the volume and start dancing you don’t need to think of the embarrassment as none is watching you.You have a room to yourself to dance madly, dance till you are happy again to face the world. There are many dancing forms for you to dance from Classical to Contemporary the list is long.
You can also form a group for you where members are also facing the same struggles as you are all together you can take part in many dancing competitions which keep happening around your area. There are also many folk dances to dance on as in our country even Dance keeps us united as every state has its own dance form which can be mixed with other dance forms easily. Dancing will really help you to come out of your loneliness. You need not dance like Michael Jackson every time but you need to dance with full devotion in it.
6. Reading and Writing
The next thing which you can always do to cure loneliness irrespective of any age is nothing but reading and writing always. It is like meditation where you feel the solace in a different way which was unknown to you. Believe me once you start reading and writing there is no point in turning back to the lonely world out there. Reading and writing has been a friend to us when none is there for us for centuries. Read, read and read because doing so will help you in realizing that you are not alone. Characters from a fictional world become our friends in reality too as we keep relating to our favourite characters. Writing is the best thing to do when feeling lonely. Have a diary with you every time when loneliness kicks in start expressing yourself in words which will surely make you happy. You can make a collection of good quotations & lines which will help you in feeling good every time you feel lonely. Grab a book, a pen , a huge cup of coffee/tea and there is no way for loneliness to kick in. It will help you in the long run. People who disturb you in your reading or writing time throw them out of the room or just avoid them or give them a book to read.
7. Watching Good Movies
People in 3d glasses with popcorn and drinks watching movie in cinema. Entertainment business
The next thing to do in order to not to feel lonely is watching movies, not just watching any random movies but some really nice & good movies which develop inspiration in you to feel good again. Go for some nice inspirational movies which inspire you to be better and give you a positive perspective towards life, and also show you the way to deal with your problems with a new zeal. Language should not be an obstacle for you to watch some really good movies. If you are watching any new language movie then don’t worry you have a subtitle for you, the majority of movies have English in their subtitle list. You should not watch any movie just for the sake of watching try to find something in that movie which helps you to feel good when these lonely thoughts come to your mind.
One tip is to make a diary in which you can write the best dialogues of a movie which you watch. Write only the dialogues which touch your heart and the dialogues which you can remember. Every movie has some inspiration in it you just need to search that inspiration which will become a driving force for you to heal from the lonely thoughts. GO out and watch a movie with your family and friends or if none is free to go out with you go solo because the mind remembers the best experiences in which there is some emotional connection attached to it. Trust us you will never regret watching any good movie. Some of the best movies which you can watch are Dear Zindagi, 3 Idiots among many others. When everyone is out ‘enjoying’ on weekends you can enjoy at your own home in your comfort zone. Switch on the laptop and watch any good movie.
8.Keeping Yourself Busy
The next thing which everyone can do is keeping yourself so busy that there is no time for our thoughts to wander. Invest this time in doing something productive. For students studies and their career can help them better to avoid lonely thoughts. For professionals working and meeting all the deadlines can be a great help for them to keep away from such thoughts. Yes, we do understand that it may be tough but believe us try to do this for good seven days and you will yourself start experiencing the change in you and with the time you will become pro at it. For this you can join a hobby class for students it will be easy as these days many schools & colleges provide hobby classes for their students & in these classes they give many things to choose from like beauty makeup, cooking, painting, singing and many other classes. These classes are like crash course type where they learn without any disturbance in their study hours as these classes are held in the campus only, generally, they are held on weekends. Many offices too have their own clubs where groups are made according to their employee’s interests which also keeps them lively at their office place. Many MNCs like Microsoft and all regularly have office events where employees get a platform to add more to their professional world. Give it some days to get the best results. You can also go for gardening for nature will never make you feel lonely for it nurtures you into a new YOU.
9. Adopting A Pet
The next thing which one can do to not to feel lonely is adopting a pet. By doing so we will make this world a better place for all. Instead of buying a pet from a pet shop it will be better if you will adopt a pet. Look around your surroundings you will see many dogs and cats looking innocently wanting you to give them a home. If you have a home do give them a small place in your home but be careful as they give you their heart the moment you pat on them. Believe us they understand your intentions very well. Trust us adopting a pet is the best thing which you can do , you will never regret it but you will grieve for years as like good things they too have some years but in these years they will never let you feel lonely as around them you will have a reason to feel happy always for they may not speak but they speak the language which doesn’t need any words yes they speak and understand the language of Love and care better than us.
So here are some tips for you to not to feel lonely. Hope it helps you. We wish you Good Luck. Smile often to feel good
Above all take out time to know about your family and friends. If you see something unusual in their behavior it’s better to talk to the person instead of propagating their act of behavior to the whole world. Build trust in them where people can share anything without the fear of getting judged.
Portrait of Asian medical doctor working outdoor on the green park background
For the majority of medical students, they’ve gone through years and years of training and education. First there was college, then taking the MCAT, then medical school and then finally residency. For many, it seemed like the journey would never end. You’d pass through one wall just to have a few more in your way.
Once you’re past all of that, however, you need to start looking for jobs. While many places are expecting a doctor shortage over the next two decades, you shouldn’t just run at whoever gives you the first job offer.
But at the same time, you don’t want to be without work for too long. After all, you have loans to pay back and plenty of other bills will start coming in soon enough. If you’re looking for some help finding your dream job, check out some of the suggestions below.
The Red Tape
While you may feel like your schooling is over, and it might be, you should start thinking if you’re going to need any kind of specialization or certain licensure before you start working. Some of these specialties require more training and possibly another round of residency.
In addition, you’ll want to check out the state in which you intend to practice medicine. Some states have stricter requirements than others when it comes to obtaining your medical license. You may have to pass an exam, go in front of a board or both. So don’t take what your friend did three states over as the final word.
Take care of the red tape to know if you’ll be searching right away or may delay it a few years.
2. Connections
It’s a job-hunting tip as old as time: “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” While you might be able to find and fake a job in finance because your neighbor’s father is looking for someone, you’re probably not going to be able to fake surgery or cardiology.
You should still study, but just remember connections are key.
Connections can be anyone out there, from old medical school classmates, your mom’s friend who works at a hospital to someone you meet in a coffee shop. Having someone put in a word for you or help guide you to your first job can make a big difference.
If you feel like you don’t know anyone, see if you can make a connection through your LinkedIn profile. A friend might know someone who works in a hospital. Take them out to lunch and pick their brain to see if anything is available or opening.
3. The Resume
Your resume is likely going to be the first thing staff and recruiters see about you. It’s essentially the professional representation of you on paper so your resume to make a great first impression. In doing so, there needs to be specific information on your resume. Look for examples of medical resumes online if you don’t have one and make sure it’s up-to-date. The basic information that needs to be on there includes, but is not limited to:
Contact information
Education
Relevant Skills
Volunteer Experience
References
Work Experience and Job Responsibilities
Objective
Depending on your specialty, see if you can find similar resumes and try to imitate their lingo and highlighted experience. It helps to tailor your resume to certain job postings or announcements as well. You don’t want to cast a wide net every time.
Speaking of a wide net…
4. Job Browsing
If you don’t feel like you know anyone or want to start out on your own, it’s time to hit the online job boards. Here is where it’s tempting to cast a wide net over everything. You might want to go the “easy apply” route and send out your cover letter and resume in mass.
Make sure you’re going over each job announcement with a fine-toothed comb. You don’t want to start working at a clinic or hospital only to find out the hours don’t fit with your life schedule or it’s a trek to get to every day. This is your career, you will have to sacrifice some things but you shouldn’t have to sacrifice everything.
5. Be Personable
Remember that hospitals and clinics just aren’t hiring bodies, they’re hiring people. While your place of work may never resemble Scrubs, don’t be afraid to be yourself in the interview and following steps.
You’re going to be working with these people daily and around them all the time. Don’t try and act like someone else during the interview because you think it will help you get ahead. Eventually, you won’t be able to keep it up and people will start to notice you acting differently. Act natural and eventually, your next job will come to you.
