What happened in the first season?
The season begins with Munna accidentally shooting the groom in a wedding, Munna is a son of the biggest mafia in town, Kaleen Bhai. After knowing this thing, the father of the groom took the case to one of the most honest lawyers—Mr. Pandit, whose children Babblu, Guddu, and Dimpy studies in the college where Munna is a president. Kaleen Bhai sends his son Munna to threaten the Pandit to step back from the case.
Everything went wrong when the heated conversation leads to fighting in which Munna gets injured. Kaleen Bhai gets informed about everything that happened there and calls both the brothers. He offers him a job after getting impressed. This marks the journey of two rightful brothers stepping into murders, bloodshed, mayhem, drugs, and the most dangerous business.

Guddu, who enjoys being in power do everything very terrible things to remain in force, whereas Babblu, who does like the turn of events, wants everything to get back normal. However, he soon realizes that there is no going back to the position they are in.
Munna who is angry after being overlooked by his father decides to take revenge after he realizes that Guddu has taken everything he ever wanted piece by piece. So, he plans to frame the brothers for attempt to kill his father which he himself plans. Kaleen orders his son to kill both of them and become the new king of Mirzapur.
Munna tracks them down in a wedding where he killed Babblu, Guddu’s brother and Guddu’s pregnant wife Sweety who once Munna loved. Guddu, Golu and Dimpy manages to escape after the worst nights of their lives, on the other Munna is determined to finish his work.
For now, this hasn’t been disclosed yet, but rumors of Babblu being alive and to return in season 2 is making the rounds. However, nothing has been yet confirmed, but watching him the brains in every mission the brother had together. This is quite next to impossible for Guddu to carry out the master plan of revenge without him. So since Mirzapur is a thriller, the chance of Babblu being alive is possible

The story then follows her conquering opponents, fighting for love, and becoming a Motorball champion. Her story ends with her vowing to avenge the death of her love interest Hugo.
The movie received mixed reviews, with critics praising Salazar’s acting. The movie made a total of 400 million worldwide and got accolades for it’s acting and visual effects. The final prepared khaja is dry from outside while the inner part is full of sugar syrup. Khaja is a sweet often used during festive occasions as a holy offering, especially to Lord Jagannath.
A very famous dish not only famous in Jharkhand but also West Bengal, Assam, Odhisha, and Kerela. It is typically made of rice flour or wheat flour both. It is a type of rice cake which is filled in between with sweet ingredients or grated dry fruits like cashews, pistachios, and almonds. Stuffings of pithas are also innovatively filled in with cauliflower, cabbage, or mashed potatoes and often steamed.
Litti chokha
One of the famous food of Jharkhand inspired by Bihar and also famous in parts of UP. The dough ball is made of wheat flour and is stuffed with sattu which is a chickpea and barley flour. It may also be enjoyed with aalu bharta, baigan bharta, chicken curry, and chokha which is prepared by mashed eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, and added with mixed herbs, onion, and spices. Just after the litti is prepared it is brushed over with ghee to enhance its taste.
Chilka roti
High in protein, made out of fermented rice and Bengal gram dal. The batter is prepared out of soaking the dal and rice for 5-6 hours and then grinding them into a paste. This paste is again left for few more hours to ferment properly and then spread over an iron pan like dosa. Enjoyed with sauce and dhaniya, mint, garlic chutney.
Koinar saag
A wild leaf often cultivated by local people during monsoon. As the rich forest land of Jharkhand has always provided an abundance of natural food products, it has been a great source of income for regional farmers also. This is more famous among tribal parts of Jharkhand where along with Koinar saag, they also make use of Colocasia esculata ( kachchupatta) and Crotalaria juncea(Sanai ka Phool). Nutritionally, they are high in fiber, rich in protein and has low fat and carbohydrate.
Munga saag / Drumstick leaves
They are another recipe made out of natural by-products of drumsticks. The curry is mixed with potatoes sometimes, which is a very common dish among people. Further, its leaves are even cooked and taken as saag. Its leaves have got that medicinal property used for good digestion, treating asthma, and also curing infections.
Mahua
A traditional drink named Mahua is a very special and traditional drink of Jharkhand. Especially the tribal men and women consume Mahua on special occasions and they consider it a holy thing as it has the medicinal properties to cure ailments.
Handia
Another famous tribal drink is Handia, which is a fermented rice beer. Karma Puja is an occasion of paddy harvesting and this sacred drink is celebrated by the tribal. It is not only famous in Jharkhand but also in parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh. It is the most accepted sacred drink of Munda and Santhal tribes.
Rohad Haku
It is a non-vegetarian dish. The use of small fishes dried in sun and then deep-fried until crisp. It is then lightly roasted with mustard oil and various spices and finally adding a few drops of lemon or vinegar to enhance its flavor.
Chicken and mutton curries
They are a very common food item among the non-vegetarians. Be it any occasion, festivals like Eid or Holi, people enjoy the chicken and mutton in a very desi curry style. People also enjoy eating them in many different ways like biryani and korma.
Pumpkin is another natural item that is easy to make and prepared in different ways especially enjoyed as pumpkin curry. It may be taken with chapatti, paratha or rice depending on one’s choice.

Cottage Cheese
The non-tribal part of Jharkhand enjoys all sorts of food delicacies and is in favor of all the cuisines. They preferring Chinese and continental in most of the time. Remember The Witcher? Feels like an eon ago now. Well here’s a reality check. The Witcher TV series released in December of 2019, simply six months back. With the quarantine and everything else that has happened, it feels like a solid year has passed since the Witcher released. And I’m sure all of you sorely miss your favorite leading ladies. And of course Henry Cavill. But today, we aren’t here to talk about him. We are here today to talk about the chirpy, yet mysterious princess Cirilla of Cinta a.k.a Freya Allen.
Freya’s Early Life.
There is not much known about the young actress as of now. She was born in September of 2001, which makes her 19 years old now. She was born and brought up in Oxfordshire, England. Her early education took place at Headington School in Oxford. Did you know this was the same school Emma Watson studied in? Freya picked up her passion for the arts from here and carried it into her secondary education.
Freya continued her artistic education at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, in Buckinghamshire. It was here that her real career would begin. As part of her studies, maybe as an assignment, she acted in two short films Bluebird and The Christmas Tree. While the movies didn’t really amount to much, Freya’s fire for acting had been lit. She continued her studies well into college and she studied at the Arts University Bournemouth. It was at this arts university that she played the part of Linda in the short film Captain Fierce.
Captain Fierce is a short yet really sweet film of two teenagers Danny and Linda. Linda is played by Freya Allan. Danny and Linda, a.k.a Freya are friends whose families live quite far away from each other. Linda’s family keeps coming to Danny’s village once an year, and during this time Danny and Linda try to spend all the time they can with each other. One of these visits, they find an abandoned boat and decide to fix it. Their thoughts are that if they make a good enough boat, they can run away together.
The story progresses from their work on the boat to the both of them attending a carnival together. Linda comments that she likes the carnival, because it comes only once an year. She tries to convey to Danny that the reason she likes the carnival and continues to be fascinated by it is because it comes ONLY once an year. And that her and Danny’s relationship is the same. The reason they like each other is because they get to meet only once an year. And Danny seems to understand, because when Linda leaves the next day without morning, he only smiles.
This is by far one of Freya’s best known works in a short film. Of course, she was destined to go on and have her breakthrough somewhere else.
Career.
Other than the first three short films Bluebird, Christmas Tree and Captain Fierce, Freya didn’t really have any notable works till 2018. She was simply seventeen years old then and it is understandable. However, no one could have predicted her change in fate next.
After a few minor stints into TV series like Into The Badlands and horror series The War of The Worlds she moved onto her breakthrough work, The Witcher.
The Witcher is a 2019 adaptation of hit book and video game series of the same name. The story is of a Witcher, a half-human, half-monster who kills other monsters to keep human beings safe. Henry Cavill plays The Witcher and he goes by the name Geralt of Rivia. How exactly does Freya Allan feature into all this you ask? Freya Allan plays the role of princess Cirilla of Cintra. Due to a mishap on the part of Geralt, the lives of Cirilla and Geralt are inexplicably tied together.
While in the TV show, the episodes take a more non-linear storytelling form, as the show progresses, it becomes clearer. We come to know that Geralt is simply wandering the lands, looking for monsters to kill. On the way, he goes through the kingdom of Cintra and manages to make a life pact with unborn Cirilla’s mother. He ends up vowing to take care of her and to be part of her destiny. Queen Calanthe, Cirilla’s grandmother, exiles him, never to return.
However, 20 years after the incident, an enemy kingdom, Nilfgard annexes Cintra and manages to kill Queen Calanthe. Cirilla escapes. Before she does so, however, her grandmother tells her to find Geralt. And from there begins the story of Geralt and Cirilla pursuing their destinies to find each other.
Following the release of The Witcher, Vanity Fair conducted an interview with the two female protagonists of the show, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra. Freya plays princess Cirilla and Anya plays Yennefer of Vengerberg. When asked about their roles, Freya commented that she hadn’t really read the books but knew that Cirilla was an amazing fighter.
She realized that while the first season didn’t really have much of her fighting scenes, she hopes the second season will. Her comradrie with co-star Anya is fun to watch, and they almost remind us of Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. Freya commented that they both often depended on each other and their characters for strength.
We can’t wait to see Freya on screen with the release of Witcher 2. This young actress has miles to go and it is truly a delight to be at the beginning of it. We hope that with the release of the second season of Witcher, we see more of her and we truly see some fighting scenes from her. Freya Allan is only to star in Witcher 2 next and doesn’t have any works lined up after that.
