  • All-purpose flour/maida- 3 Tbsp

  • Cashew Nuts- 6 Tbsp

  • Rose essence/Rosewater- Few drops

Method

  • Firstly, make the flour paste which will act as the thickening agent for our creamy Kaju ice-cream. For that, heat a pan at low flame. To it add 3 Tbsp of all-purpose flour/ maida and roast it until the raw smell of maida fades a bit. At medium flame, you need to stir it continuously with a spatula for around 2 mins. After 2 mins, take it out in a bowl and let it cool down a bit.
  • Now, take a heavy-bottom pan, to it add 500 ml of full-fat milk, and bring it to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, after the roasted flour cools down, you need to add a little more milk (2-3 Tbsp) to it and make a medium-consistency paste out of it. The flour paste is ready, keep it aside.
  • Next, to the boiled milk add 6 Tbsp of cashew nuts ( around 15-20 cashews), 6 Tbsp of sugar, and you need to cook this milk at medium flame till it starts boiling and reduces by ¼ of its total quantity. You can adjust the proportion of sugar as per your taste, but I guess this much quantity of sugar will be perfect.
  • Once the milk starts boiling, add the prepared flour mix/paste to it and you need to whisk it continuously so that no lumps are left out. As soon as you pour the paste, immediately stir the milk. By keeping the flame at medium-high, you need to keep cooking the milk until it starts thickening. After the milk thickens, switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down completely. It’s important before churning the milk-mix in the blender.
  • After the milk mixture cools down completely, you’ll notice that it has thickened a bit more than when it was hot. This is the exact consistency before blending it in the blender. Transfer the milk mixture to a blender jar, close the lid and churn this until smooth. Blend till the cashew nuts and everything is well combined.
  • Open the lid and at this time you need to add a few drops of rose essence. If you don’t have, you can even use edible rosewater to give your cashew ice-cream the reviving rose flavor. Churn the milk mixture again for a few seconds.
  • Next, you need to transfer the whole mixture into an air-tight container, close the lid well and you need to freeze this for 5-6 hours. You can also keep it overnight. And after that, you need to again churn the mixture in the blender for a few seconds. Don’t skip this step, as there is no cream in this recipe, so to block the formation of any ice crystals and to improve the ice-cream’s texture to more smooth and creamy, you need to blend this for the second time as well.
  • Finally, blend the ice-cream for around 1-2 minutes and transfer it again to an air-tight container. Cover with a lid and let it set in the refrigerator completely. You need to freeze it for about  6-7 hours or you can leave it overnight as well.

The demoulding segment

After the ice-cream sets one hundred percent, place the container over a bowl with some normal water in it for a few seconds. And then comes my most cherished part, that is the demoulding segment. By keeping it for some time in normal water, it will be easier for you to demould the ice-cream. For making masala corn in 3 flavors

Boiled Corn kernels
  • Firstly, will prepare the corn kernels for making the masala corn. Take a deep bottom pan, fill with water, and place it over a high flame. Boil the water for a few minutes.
  • Now, add fresh corn kernels to the boiling water. Let it boil well until the kernels soften a bit. Add a pinch of turmeric powder to it. Do not add it more otherwise the color of the corn kernels would change to reddish, and will not look that appealing.
  • Next, add ½ teaspoon of sugar to it. Don’t skip this as it will balance all the flavors. Whenever we boil sweet corns, then you must have noticed that the corn kernels fade a bit. That is the reason for adding a pinch of Haldi to it so that the steamed kernels retain its color. And the addition of sugar preserves the natural sweetness of the kernels. 
  • Boil the corn kernels by stirring it in between by keeping the flame in high. It will take max 8-10 mins to boil on high flame. You will notice that the warm yellowish color of the corn has been retained wholly. Even the small kernels have been bloated up perfectly, and this is the indication that your corn kernels have been prepared properly.
  • After 10 mins, strain the water and add the steamed corn kernels in a fresh bowl.

  • Boiled corn- 1 cup
  • Salted butter- 1 Tbsp (room temperature)
  • Red chili powder- ½ Tsp
  • Black salt- ½ Tsp
  • Chaat masala- ½ Tsp
  • Roasted Jeera powder- ½ Tsp
  • Chopped tomato- ¼ cup
  • Chopped onion- ¼ cup
  • Coriander chopped- 1 Tbsp
  • Chopped green chili- 1 Tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 Tsp
  • Salt as required

Method

  • Take one cup of the freshly prepared boiled corn in a fresh bowl. Add 1 Tbsp of butter to it and give a good mix. The butter will just boost its flavor to the next level. This will give richness and aroma to the masala corn that tastes so tempting.
  • Next, will make a masala with some spices for our spicy masala corn. Take a separate bowl, add red chili powder, black powder, chaat masala, roasted jeera powder as per the specified portions given in the ingredients. Mix all the spices well.
  • Add the spicy masala mix to the butter brushed steamed corn. Mix well.
  • Then, add ¼ cup of finely chopped tomato, onion, 1 tbsp of freshly chopped coriander, 1-2 chopped green chilies and a dash of lemon juice for that tanginess. Finally, add salt as per taste and give a good mix to all of them. You can adjust the spiciness as per your preference. 
  • Take care that your steamed corn kernels must be hot, then only all the spices along with the butter will get combine properly. Your Spicy Masala Corn is ready to be chomp down. Serve it hot.

Mint Flavored Masala Corn

Mint flavored masala corn

Ingredients

  • Boiled corn- 1 cup
  • Salted butter- 1 Tbsp
  • Green chutney- 1 Tbsp
  • Chaat masala- ½ Tsp
  • Chopped coriander- 1 Tbsp
  • Chopped Spring onion- 1 Tbsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 Tsp
  • Salt as required

Ingredients for Coriander-Mint Chutney

  • Roasted peanuts- 2 Tbsp
  • Garlic- 10-12 cloves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Green chili- 4-5
  • Ginger- 1 inch
  • Mint leaves- ½ cup
  • Chopped Coriander- ½ cup
  • Coldwater- 5 Tbsp (as required)
  • Lemon juice from half lemon

Method

  • Take one cup of hot boiled corn in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of butter to it. You can alter the proportion of butter as per your taste or as you like.
  • Firstly, will prepare the chutney for our masala corn. Take a mixer jar, add all the ingredients in the appropriate portions as specified for making the mint / green chutney. Grind until you get a smooth paste.
  • Make sure to add the lemon juice in the last just before blending. Also, use only cold water for making the chutney. This will make the chutney lasts longer and fresh.
  • Add 1 tbsp of prepared pudina-dhania chutney. Then, add chaat masala, finely chopped coriander, a bit of lemon juice, and give it a good mix. You can even add chopped onion or spring onion or any veggies of your choice to enhance its flavor more.
  • Next, add some salt as required. Your Mint Flavored Masala Corn is ready to be served.

Italian Flavored Masala Corn

  • Boiled corn- 1 cup
  • Pizza seasoning- 1 Tsp
  • Chili flakes- 1 Tsp
  • Salt as per taste

  • Chopped green chili- 1
  • Chopped coriander- 1 Tbsp
  • Salted butter- 1 Tsp
  • Grated cheese as required (processed / mozzarella)

  • Again, take 1 cup of hot boiled corn in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of pizza seasoning, 1 tbsp of chili flakes, salt as per taste, ¼ tsp crushed black pepper, finely chopped green chili, chopped coriander, 1 tsp butter, and finally give it a good mix to it. If you don’t have pizza seasoning than you can simply add oregano and chili flakes in place of it.
  • You can even add finely sliced capsicum, onion, or tomato to it. Adjust the spiciness as per your taste. 
  • Next, add some grated cheese and mix well. You can alter the proportion of cheese if you love having it more cheesy. Your Italian Flavored Masala Corn is ready to be served. Garnish it with some more grated cheese and chili flakes.

Additional Fact: After Betaal and Bard of Blood, Class of ’83 is Netflix’s third collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment.

Moreover, the film is based on the Book “The Class of 83” by Sayyed Yunus Hussain Zaidi. The book is based on Pradeep Sharma, a famous officer of Mumbai Encounter Squad.

Firstly, it is going to be an exciting movie because of Bobby Deol’s return after several years. Secondly, this engaging cop-drama is quite a new theme for the lead actor! After all, we have seen him go all Yamla Pagla Deewana and say, “Arre jab Dharmendra aur Sunny Deol lad rahe hai … toh Bobby Deol kya karega”. But, never seen him as a dutiful cop.

Here is some information about the movie, “Class of ’83” if you are planning to watch or have just watched it!

Bobby Deol’s Comeback

Even before the release of the film, there was a huge talk about Bobby Deol’s comeback to the industry, he has almost given twenty-five years to. There are many reasons of this hype. Firstly, his acting and movies have mainly focused on genres like romance or comedy. So, this film is not like other main-stream Bollywood Dramas!

Secondly, it is after long that he is going to be presenting in front of the audience. He appeared in “Housefull 4” (2019) and “Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se” (2018), the last time. In addition, this is his digital debut! In other words, it will be the first time we will be seeing his latest performance on an online-streaming platform.

The film is focused on a character’s life, “Vijay Singh” who is an honest cop. Bobby Deol plays the role of the protagonist which he even, termed as something very new for him. In other words, we get a chance to see him in an entirely different character with a very serious and dutiful role.

He plays the role of a cop and a dean. “Vijay Singh” is very committed person towards his work. Moreover, he is a husband and a father, as well. This character has the limelight throughout and deals with certain different aspects of his life. He acts as a mentor, as well. The portrayal of character in the film is a dedicated and a sincere one.

Above all, he has given many years to the film industry and now coming up with something new is quite challenging. Therefore, it can turn out to be as a huge success or a down fall.

So, the question that arises is: Is this going to be an impressive comeback or not?

The Cadets in the film

For the ones, who do not know who Cadets are, here is the meaning:

“A cadet is a young man or woman who is being trained in the armed services or the police.”

The cadets had a very important role in the film. Dean Vijay Singh mentors five of them. The characters of cadets were, “Shukla” (Bhupendra Jadawat), “Varde” (Hitesh Bhojraj), “Aslam” (Sameer Paranjape), “Jadhav” (Ninad Mahajani) and “Surve” (Prithvik Pratap).

“Most Difficult THING to cast for this film were the cadets because we went rounds and rounds…” -DIRECTOR OF THE FILM.

The roles of the characters were side-roles yet very important and engaging. In a general sense, they were portrayed as learners and as, encounter cops. The film revolves around how they play their assigned tasks and duties.

The Plot of the film

This 98 minutes long film revolves around the genres; Drama and Crime. The movie is one of those cop dramas that throw light on duties and commitments. In addition to this, it has many strong and powerful dialogues. These dialogues enhance the seriousness of the characters, especially of, “Vijay Singh”. For instance:

 “ Sometimes to maintain order, one needs to break The law”

The film revolves around some sub-themes like relationships and tragedies. It is about a man who was a cop but then, gets punished. After that, he works as a dean in an academy (Police Academy) to train the Cadets. The batch is the one that passed out in ’83. In addition, he looks out for young talent among them and starts grooming them. He mentors them to make them capable of fighting against the corrupted systems. He selects five trainees and polishes them well. He takes their charge so that the fight against the evil allies can be won.

It is more like a personal fight and mission for him. it can be proved through many scenes, for instance;

He says, ” I want to give one more shot”

He is asked, “to all five?”

and, he says, “to myself”

Moreover, the film also portrays the fight of “Vijay Singh” and the Cadets against complexities of honour, values and morals. In addition, it also has many action elements with all the cop drama involved! It has many intense action scenes (Don’t miss them out)!

Apart from this, as the real set-up, the film is portrayed to be in the 80’s and 90’s.

OVERALL,

It is not a main-stream Bollywood Drama Film. For the first time, it can turn out to be engaging to see Bobby Deol in such a role. He even posted on social media that, “Playing Dean Vijay Singh was an experience like never before. Class Of ’83 coming soon on Netflix…”

However, it is not all happy-go-lucky movie, it takes a twists turn too (no spoilers this is up to you to check!). Do watch the movie once and check if “Vijay Singh” is able to fulfill his purpose or faces failure…

This is the most classic variant of cold coffee. This recipe is ideal for 2 servings. The cold coffee turns out to be so frothy, thick, and creamy that you will love cherishing it. The chocolate, coffee, and vanilla flavors blend quite well together and taste so delicious and tempting yet refreshing. You need to follow the detailed steps as specified and you will get your own thick-creamy cold-coffee at the end.

Chocolate vanilla cold coffee

Ingredients

  • Chilled milk- 2 cups
  • Vanilla ice cream- 6 scoops
  • Sugar- 3 Tbsp
  • Instant Coffee- 3 Tbsp
  • Ice cubes- 3
  • Chocolate syrup- 3 Tbsp
  • Fresh cream- ½ cup
  • Warm water- 2 Tbsp
  • Some Cocoa Powder and Whipped cream for Garnishing (optional)

Method

  • Firstly, will make the coffee decoction. For that add 2 Tbsp of warm water to 3 Tbsp of instant coffee and give this is a good mix till the coffee gets completely dissolved in the water. It won’t take much time though.
  • Now, in a blender jar, add 2 cups of chilled milk. To this add 3 Tbsp of chocolate syrup/sauce, ½ cup of Amul’s fresh cream or any other brand, and 3 Tbsp of sugar. Next, in goes the prepared mix of coffee and water and blend this for a few seconds till everything well combines. You can use the pulse mode of your blender for this. Soon you’ll see that the coffee has already become a bit frothy.
  • Next, add the vanilla ice-cream which will give that perfect thickness as well as creaminess to your cold coffee. Then, in goes the ice-cubes and again blend this for a few seconds till the ice-cream dissolves and everything becomes smooth. But, you need to take care that you do not over-bend.
  • Shortly, you’ll notice that the coffee has become very thick and frothy. Now, don’t pour it directly into the mugs. Let it stand for a half or minute and it will become more frothy as the froth will collect at the top.

  • Firstly, will make the coffee decoction as earlier. For that add 1 Tbsp of instant coffee powder and ¾ Tbsp of warm water. Give it a good mix and keep it aside.
  • Next, will make the oreo crumbles. Take 3 oreo cookies inside a plastic bag and crush it thoroughly with a rolling pin. If you’re making it in large quantities then you can even grind the oreo into a fine powder.
  • Now, take a blender jar, to it add 1 cup of chilled milk, the prepared coffee mix, 2 Tbsp of sugar, 2 Tbsp of oreo crumbles, 1 Tbsp of chocolate syrup and blend everything for a few seconds.
  • Finally, goes in the vanilla ice-cream and the ice cubes and again blend until smooth. Make sure you do not over blend it.
  • Soon, you’ll notice the coffee has become frothy. Let the blender jar stand for a minute so that all the froth gets collected at the top.
  • Now, take a serving glass/mug, drizzled some chocolate syrup along the sides inside, and the brim of the glass. You can even freeze the glass in the refrigerator for around 5-8 mins. Next, goes in the rich and thick oreo cold coffee right away from the blender jar. Fill the chilled glass generously with the cold coffee till the top. Collect the rest-over froth and top it over the coffee.

  • The cold coffee will become frothy and let it sit for a while before transferring it to the serving glass jar.
  • Take a glass jar, drizzle some chocolate syrup along the brim of the jar to the sides inside it. Freeze the jar for about 5 mins in the refrigerator. Finally, pour out the Kit-Kat cold coffee right away from the blender jar to the trimmed frozen glass jar. Also, take out the leftover froth from the blender jar using a spoon and place over the cold coffee.

Kaspersky does the basics of protection; that is, it focuses on the fundamental security essentials. Unlike Bitdefender or Norton, Kaspersky doesn’t have a massive list of features.

However, it gets the job done. Its feature of extending past the one device is probably why it costs more than Bitdefender and the others. A plus point is that despite having only the most essential features of antivirus software, Kaspersky embodies the best of these features.

Kaspersky has just the one shortcoming: it does not have the additional features present in other antiviral software. It does make up for it in its quality, but we still would like to see more. It is also quite expensive, and if you do not have five gadgets with windows os, it is redundant. You will also only get internet protection with Kapersky’s higher-tier packages which have additional costs. All in all, Kaspersky is an excellent software to purchase, but there are better ones out there.

Trend Micro Antivirus

Somewhat like Kaspersky, Trend Micro Antivirus is a simple, basic yet extremely effective software antivirus. It also employs only the most basic features but has many redeeming qualities to it which put it in our list. Trend Micro Antivirus is a Windows-only antivirus software and extends its uses to a maximum of one device only. It has the basic features and the antivirus engine is a quality affair.

The reason why Trend Micro Antivirus is listed fourth in our ranking is that while it’s functionality rivals that of Kaspersky, it has more shortcomings than the former. It is simple antivirus software. However, it is also available only for Windows PCs and for only one device for one purchase. Additionally, Trend Micro Internet Security is a resource hog. However, this situation is improving with the latest updates adopted by the software.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus

We should be giving this an up-there ranking because Webroot is really one of the go-to antivirus software out there. Coming at only 20 dollars for a year, Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus is exactly the kind of cheap, no-nonsense investment you should be making for your device. Webroot is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems. On top of its multifunctionality, one purchase allows access of the license and software on at least three devices. This software is considered lightweight to the others, but it really delivers on all the features it promises. It uses only a measly 15 MB and the installation takes only minutes.

There is not really any drawback to Webroot’s SecureAnywhere antivirus, except for the fact that it is lightweight and not really for any heavy extractions or phishing. You can still use Webroot for your potato PCs, mainly if you do basic editing and don’t have any heavy-duty programs on it. Webroot has some standout features that set it apart despite being extremely affordable software. Some of them are always-on security, identity protection and real-time anti-phishing.
