Self esteem , what we lack , the older generations say.:

Today, when we pick up a daily newspaper, we invariably find an increasing incidence of vandalism , fraud, rape, child abuse, battered spouses, murders, hate cres, ethnic cleansing, along with a multitude of other senseless violent acts that have become disturbingly common.

These are not the actions of people who like themselves. The solutions to greet many people and their problems , whether personal or national or global has a unperturbed way.

When the significance of good  morale is well understood and it achieves the protuberance it deserves , a transformation will begin, for as the people will learn they’re deserving of self respect , their respect for others will willy-nilly increase. Most of our behavior has been shaped by our parents, caregivers and authority figures who play an integral part in our early upbringing and were responsible for crystallizing our ideas about ourselves and the world. While everyone has self esteem , only a small percentage of us have high self esteem.

Amour Propre

High self esteem denotes that we accept ourselves unconditionally exactly as we are , we appreciate our value as a human being. When on the other hand , if we have low self esteem , we believe that we have little intrinsic worth.

For the living examples, as a student everyone has faced or has friends who have been , and are panic-stricken of maths , but they were stupendous in maths till the middle School stage , gradually their self esteem  became detestable when the fact that flagged in their head “ I won’t be able to pass “ , that’s when the psychological aspect strikes  ! Giving an exam of mathematics felt like pushing oneself from a Cliff. Nevertheless , life is full of choices when it comes to education and career choices.

Amour Propre

Going back to the real aspect of self esteem in every hypothetical day to day examples of life , everyone is victimized for certain  facts of intrinsic interest . We believe our personal values are in direct proportions to the values of our accomplishments.

If we cannot accomplish certain results ,we tend to feel low about ourselves. Some of us try to try too hard to prove ourselves to other people , who doesn’t even matter , we lose our interest , we lose ourselves….!

With few genuine feelings of self worth , we try to create some and prove that we are somebody by our success and achievements. Because our desires for perfection is never ending , maybe too much influenced by fictions and Western world , but that’s how it works now ! Failing, rather than encouraging us to have more realistic aspirations, only leads to a mere punishing round of self blame and a resolve to drive ourselves harder next time.

If we do finally achieve our goals we are disappointed, despite everything we have done , we still feel empty inside. Vulnerable to influence the opinions of others, we desperately try to gain their countenance-endorsement and approval sometimes through venturesome and dangerous behavior. Thus we are at the mercy of our emotions, instead of controlling them ,we permit them to control us.

Since we allow possessiveness. Fear makes us greedy , and acquisitive, and feelings of self hate alternate with those of futility, unhappiness and depression. Sound self esteem is the basis for all self improvement.

As human beings , our potential is limitless, our abilities inexhaustible, and the possibilities for creative and constructive changes are endless. But, we don’t experience satisfactory progress towards our goals or make any lasting improvements unless we believe we deserve the good we want. Conditions in our lives will improve permanently only when we believe we are entitled to something better . So improving our self esteem inwardly is the vital ingredient for improving our lives !

Aarti Thakur, 25

In words of Aarti Thakur , one of India’s acid attack survivor :

“I could barely breathe. Everything turned silver black. I could feel the liquid seeping into my skin, causing it to melt off. I ran to a police officer and screamed that I had been attacked again,” recalls Aarti in a calm, measured voice. The damage to her face was minimised because she was wearing a scarf wrapped around it. But the acid did burn through her forearms, neck, and parts of her cheeks and eyebrows.

Three years on, Aarti, who is now 25, is fighting a legal battle against the people behind the assault, while trying to raise funds for the surgery she requires. After a year-and-a-half of seclusion in her house, she started working again and is beginning to regain confidence in her skills as well as her appearance. But she remains understandably furious about how the acid attack on her could have been prevented.

Her ordeal began in 2011, when the son of her landlady professed his love for her.job at an IT company. But she didn’t recognise the attacker and the police wrote it off as a simple case of attempted robbery.

Terrified that she had been intentionally targeted, Aarti decided to move to another suburb of Mumbai with her single mother and younger sister, who were dependent upon her. A second attempted attack took place a little over a month later. This time there was no officer at the station to take her complaint.

Aarti grew suspicious; only a few people knew where she had moved to and her former landlady was one of them. On January 30, 2012, she was shocked to spot her son standing outside her office building. The very next day, a man carrying acid worth Rs 5 (8 cents) in a bottle changed her life forever.

This time the police finally swung into action, arresting the son, his mother, and two accomplices. Offended by the perceived slight to his dignity, and jealous of her impending marriage, the son allegedly hired two men to procure and splash acid on her as a final act of revenge.

Subscribing to a patriarchal mindset where women are expected to smile demurely and quietly acquiesce to declarations of love, some men become enraged over such “unrequited love”. Nishita Jha, a writer researching gender violence in India, says: “It comes from an innate belief that you can possess the other person. The idea that the woman has agency or autonomy is inconceivable to them. Such as in a rape case, the question of seeking consent doesn’t even cross the mind.”

Concept Analysis: Aggression

0

Image result for aggression

Aggression is a noun that is generally defined as an act of aggressive behavior. Aggressive forms of behavior can be characterized by verbal or physical attack. Aggression may be either appropriate (e.g., self-protective) or, alternatively, it may be destructive to the self and other.

What is aggression?

The concept of aggression is used in many different contexts. Importantly, it has been applied to animal behavior as well as human behavior. It is used to describe personality and attitudes, as well as to characterize behavior in both children and adults.

Analysis impact

The aim of this analysis is to describe the different forms and manifestations of aggression, as well as to describe its causes and consequences in humans.  A better understanding of aggression and the causal factors underlying it is essential for learning how to prevent negative aggression in the future.

Although different classification systems for aggression have been proposed, as seen below, these typologies tend to overlap somewhat, with each system having a slightly different emphasis. The forms of types of aggression that are reviewed consist of the clinical classification, the stimulus-based classification, the instrumental versus hostile classification, and the positive versus negative classification.

Concept Analysis: Aggression

Clinical Classification

he first form is called affective,” “reactive,” “defensive,” “impulsive,” or “hot-blooded” aggression. This type of aggression is defined as a violent response to physical or verbal aggression initiated by others that is relatively uncontrolled and emotionally charged. In contrast, the second form of aggression is referred to as “predatory,” “instrumental,” “proactive,” or “cold-blooded” aggression. This type of aggression is characterized as controlled, purposeful aggression lacking in emotion that is used to achieve a desired goal, including the domination and control of others

Stimulus-based classification

Internal stimuli and external stimuli are important antecedents of aggression. He classified aggressive behavior according to seven stimulus situations that elicited the behavior. These antecedent stimuli are as follows:

  • Predatory aggression, stimulated by the presence of a natural object of prey
  • Inter-male aggression, stimulated by the presence of a novel male con specific in a neutral arena
  • Fear-induced aggression stimulated by threats and always preceded by escape attempts.
  • Irritable aggression, stimulated by the presence of any attachable object. The tendency to display irritable aggression is enhanced by any stressor, such as isolation, electrical shock, and food deprivation.
  • Territorial aggression, stimulated by the presence of an intruder in the home or territory of a resident
  • Maternal aggression, stimulated by a threatening stimulus in the proximity of the mother’s young
  • Instrumental aggression, stimulated by any of the situations already described, but strengthened by learning

When is aggression a serious problem?

All children have to learn how to deal with anger and frustration. Many toddlers go through a phase of temper tantrums, where they yell and scream and swing their arms and legs when they’re upset. School-age children may throw things or get into a fight on the playground. As they grow, most children learn from adults- and from other children- how to express anger or handle conflict in a way that doesn’t hurt others.

What can increase the risk of aggression in youth?

A child or teen’s home life and other surroundings can raise the risk of aggression. Children may become aggressive if they:

    • See violence in their neighborhood.
    • Feel pressure to join a gang.
    • Live in a home with weapons.
    • Use alcohol or drugs.
    • Are being bullied.
    • Live in a home with parents who are aggressive, have marital problems, or have a problem with drugs or alcohol.
    • Spend a lot of time without adult supervision.
    • Have parents who discipline with harsh language and spanking.
    • Watch violent movies or TV programs or play violent video games.

How can you prevent aggression in your child?

      Set rules and consequences

      • Make house rules for your family. Let your child know the consequences (such as loss of certain privileges) for not following the rules.
      • If you say you will take away a privilege, do it. It can be hard to follow through when your child says he or she is sorry. But your child needs to know you mean what you say.
      • Create a chart with rules and chores for younger children. Your child can earn stars or other stickers for completed chores or good behavior. These stars can be turned in for privileges, such as more play time or a game night with the family.

Demonetization and its Impact

0

When PM Modi announced that Rs with the denomination of 500/- and 1000/- would cease to be the legal tender from 9th of Nov, the whole country was stunned. This decision caused sensation in the whole country. Social Media was flooded with messages and information. People started counting the trash they had accumulated for years legally or illegally.

What it actually is?

Rumors became rife. Some tried to invest their dying currency in gold. Some contacted their near and dear ones in this miserable hour. People could get only Rs 4000/- of old denomination exchanged with the new one. Big queues before the banks and ATMs became the order of the day.

Instead of getting shorter, these queues were getting longer with every passing day. The last date for the whole process was 30th of December. The persons could deposit the old cash worth Rs 2.5 lac till the said date.

Demonetization and its Impact

Objective of demonetization

The main objective of this move was to curb the black money, corruption and fake money menace. All the people but those who were indulged in malpractices welcomed the move. The whole opposition shook hand against this move under one pretense or the other. They called this decision a draconian law and wanted the govt to roll back it. Tirades were made to target the decision. Govt also carried out counter attacks.

The new currency which replaced the old one is of denomination of 500/- and 2000/-. Though the people faced a lot of inconvenience owing to shortage of funds, they did not criticize the govt for the move.

He further said he was aware the hardships they were suffering from but he sought only 50 days for setting the things right.

The most interesting thing regarding the demonetization was that people had devised various unique methods for transforming their black money in to white one. Some of these methods were as follows –

  • Depositing money in the accounts of their poor relatives and friends.
  • Enticing the people with some percentage of money for exchange.
  • Asking their employees to stand in the long queues in front of Banks and ATMs for getting money exchanged.
  • Hiring labors for some Rupees ranging from  Rs 500/- to 700/- for becoming the part of long queues in front of banks/ ATMs.
  • Converting black money in to gold.
  • Paying a few months salaries in advance.
  • Paying back loans forcibly.
  • Using their influence / links with bank employees and so on.

Impact of Demonetization on Indian Society/ Economy –

  • We shall see a great impact of this move of the Central Govt on Indian Society and Economy. The first impact shall be that people will have lower expenditure power. With that they will not be able to purchase luxurious things.
  • There shall be no ostentatious expenditures on marriages and other ceremonies. So the society will grow lesser materialistic and people more prudent. With the fake money destroyed, Indian economy will see a big boom and the so-far-booming-real-estate-sector shall fall on the ground.
  • The things may be cheaper. Indian Currency may get respect at the international market. There may be a great check on the terror-related funding and therefore on terrorist activities. Corruption shall be down to a great extent as people will stop the tendency of accumulating money using wrong means.
  • This big move will certainly abridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots. However, there may be some difficulties for a couple of months. But this inconvenience shall be temporary and for short-term.

Demonetization and its Impact

Merits of Demonetization

The demonetization policy will help India to become corruption-free. Those indulging in taking bribe will refrain from corrupt practices as it will be hard for them to keep their unaccounted cash.

This move will help the government to track the black money. Those individuals who have unaccounted cash are now required to show income and submit PAN for any valid financial transactions. The government can get income tax return for the income on which tax has not been paid.

The ban on high value currency will also curb the menace of money laundering. Now such activity can easily be tracked and income tax department can catch such people who are in the business of money laundering.

The demonetization policy will force people to pay income tax returns. Most of the people who have been hiding their income are now forced to come forward to declare their income and pay tax on the same.

The ultimate objective is to make India a cashless society. All the monetary transaction has to be through the banking methods and individuals have to be accountable for each penny they possess. It is a giant step towards the dream of making a digital India. If these are the merits, there are demerits of this policy as well.

Demerits of Demonetization

The announcement of the demonetization of the currency has caused huge inconvenience to the people. They are running to the banks to exchange, deposit or withdraw notes. The sudden announcement has made the situation become chaotic. Tempers are running high among the masses as there is a delay in the circulation of new currency.

It has deeply affected business. Due to the cash crunch, the entire economy has been made to come to a standstill.

Many poor daily wage workers are left with no jobs and their daily income has stopped because employers are unable to pay their daily wage.

The government is finding it hard to implement this policy. It has to bear the cost of printing of the new currency notes. It is also finding it difficult to put new currency into circulation. The 2000 rupees note is a burden on the people as no one likes to do transaction with such high value currency. Some critics think it will only help people to use black money more easily in future.

Further, many people have clandestinely discarded the demonetized currency notes and this is a loss to the country’s economy.

Conclusion

Economists are busy in listing out many more merits and demerits of this policy. The government is saying that there are only advantages of demonetization policy and this will be seen in the long term.

However, if we compare the merits verses demerits, it will be safe to conclude that the former outweighs the latter.

Even though there is suffering and agony among the masses right at the moment but the forecast is that its benefits will be seen in the long run.

The government is taking all the necessary steps and actions to meet the currency demand and soon the trial and tribulations of the people will be over with the smooth flow of the new currency.

Cryptocurrency:  21st-century Unicorn– or the Money of the Future

0

This introduction explains the most important thing about cryptocurrencies. After you‘ve read it, you‘ll know more about it than most other humans.

Today cryptocurrencies have become a global phenomenon known to most people. While still somehow geeky and not understood by most people, banks, governments and many companies are aware of its importance.

In 2016, you‘ll have a hard time finding a major bank, a big accounting firm, a prominent software company or a government that did not research cryptocurrencies, publish a paper about it or start a so-called block-chain-project.

What is cryptocurrency?

Few people know, but cryptocurrencies emerged as a side product of another invention. Satoshi Nakamoto, the unknown inventor of bitcoin, the first and still most important cryptocurrency, never intended to invent a currency.

In his announcement of Bitcoin in late 2008, Satoshi said he developed “A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.“

His goal was to invent something; many people failed to create before digital cash.

How’s miners create cash and confirm transactions?

Let‘s have a look at the mechanism ruling the databases of cryptocurrencies. A cryptocurrency like Bitcoin consists of a network of peers. Every peer has a record of the complete history of all transactions and thus of the balance of every account.

A transaction is a file that says, “Bob gives X Bitcoin to Alice“ and is signed by Bob‘s private key. It‘s basic public key cryptography, nothing special at all. After signed, a transaction is broadcasted in the network, sent from one peer to every other peer. This is basic p2p-technology. Nothing special at all, again.

The transaction is known almost immediately by the whole network. But only after a specific amount of time it gets confirmed.

Confirmation is a critical concept in cryptocurrencies. You could say that cryptocurrencies are all about confirmation.

As long as a transaction is unconfirmed, it is pending and can be forged. When a transaction is confirmed, it is set in stone. It is no longer forge-able, it can‘t be reversed, it is part of an immutable record of historical transactions: of the so-called block chain.

Only miners can confirm transactions. This is their job in a cryptocurrency-network. They take transactions, stamp them as legit and spread them in the network. After a transaction is confirmed by a miner, every node has to add it to its database. It has become part of the block chain.

Cryptocurrency:  21st-century Unicorn– or the Money of the Future

Transactional properties:

1.) Irreversible: After confirmation, a transaction can‘t be reversed. By nobody. And nobody means nobody. Not you, not your bank, not the president of the United States, not Satoshi, not your miner. Nobody. If you send money, you send it. Period. No one can help you, if you sent your funds to a scammer or if a hacker stole them from your computer. There is no safety net.

2.) Pseudonymous: Neither transactions nor accounts are connected to real world identities. You receive Bitcoins on so-called addresses, which are randomly seeming chains of around 30 characters. While it is usually possible to analyze the transaction flow, it is not necessarily possible to connect the real world identity of users with those addresses.

3.) Fast and global: Transaction are propagated nearly instantly in the network and are confirmed in a couple of minutes. Since they happen in a global network of computers they are completely indifferent of your physical location. It doesn‘t matter if I send Bitcoin to my neighbor or to someone on the other side of the world.

4.) Secure: Cryptocurrency funds are locked in a public key cryptography system. Only the owner of the private key can send cryptocurrency. Strong cryptography and the magic of big numbers makes it impossible to break this scheme. A Bitcoin address is more secure than Fort Knox.

5.) Permission less: You don‘t have to ask anybody to use cryptocurrency. It‘s just a software that everybody can download for free. After you installed it, you can receive and send Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. No one can prevent you. There is no gatekeeper.

 Monetary properties:

1.) Controlled supply: Most cryptocurrencies limit the supply of the tokens. In Bitcoin, the supply decreases in time and will reach its final number somewhere in around 2140. All cryptocurrencies control the supply of the token by a schedule written in the code. This means the monetary supply of a cryptocurrency in every given moment in the future can roughly be calculated today. There is no surprise.

2.) No debt but bearer: The Fiat-money on your bank account is created by debt, and the numbers, you see on your ledger represent nothing but debts. It‘s a system of IOU. Cryptocurrencies don‘t represent debts. They just represent themselves. They are money as hard as coins of gold.

To understand the revolutionary impact of cryptocurrencies you need to consider both properties. Bitcoin as a permissionless, irreversible and pseudonymous means of payment is an attack on the control of banks and governments over the monetary transactions of their citizens. You can‘t hinder someone to use Bitcoin, you can‘t prohibit someone to accept a payment, you can‘t undo a transaction.

As money with a limited, controlled supply that is not changeable by a government, a bank or any other central institution, cryptocurrencies attack the scope of the monetary policy. They take away the control central banks take on inflation or deflation by manipulating the monetary supply.

Cryptocurrencies: Dawn of a new economy

Mostly due to its revolutionary properties cryptocurrencies have become a success their inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto, didn‘t dare to dream of it. While every other attempt to create a digital cash system didn‘t attract a critical mass of users, Bitcoin had something that provoked enthusiasm and fascination. Sometimes it feels more like religion than technology.

While bitcoin remains by far the most famous cryptocurrency and most other cryptocurrencies have zero non-speculative impact, investors and users should keep an eye on several cryptocurrencies. Here we present the most popular cryptocurrencies of today.

What is the future of Cryptocurrency?

The market of cryptocurrencies is fast and wild. Nearly every day new cryptocurrencies emerge, old die, early adopters get wealthy and investors lose money. Every cryptocurrency comes with a promise, mostly a big story to turn the world around. Few survive the first months, and most are pumped and dumped by speculators and live on as zombie coins until the last bag holder loses hope ever to see a return on his investment.

Alcoholic Consumption

0

Many people enjoy a drink without any problems, but binge drinking or drinking heavily over longer periods of time can have very serious consequences. Alcohol misuse not only harms the individual, but damages relationships and society in general in terms of violence and crime, accidents and drink driving.

In Northern Ireland, the number of alcohol-related deaths has more than doubled since 1994. The most recent figures show:

  • there were 270 deaths recorded as alcohol-related in 2012;
  • there were more than 11,500 alcohol-related admissions to hospitals in 2009/10.

    Long-term effects

As well as the recognised immediate effects of drinking too much, such as nausea and vomiting, binge drinking and prolonged heavy drinking over longer periods of time can affect you in many different ways.

    Brain damage

Binge drinking can cause blackouts, memory loss and anxiety. Long-term drinking can result in permanent brain damage, serious mental health problems and alcohol dependence or alcoholism. Young people’s brains are particularly vulnerable because the brain is still developing during their teenage years. Alcohol can damage parts of the brain, affecting behaviour and the ability to learn and remember.

    Cancers

Drinking alcohol is the second biggest risk factor for cancers of the mouth and throat (smoking is the biggest). People who develop cirrhosis of the liver (often caused by too much alcohol) can develop liver cancer.

    Heart and circulation

Alcohol can cause high blood pressure (hypertension), which increases the risk of:

    • having a heart attack or stroke
    • developing some types of dementia.

It also weakens heart muscles, which can affect the lungs, liver, brain and other body systems, and also cause heart failure. Binge drinking and drinking heavily over longer periods can cause the heart to beat irregularly (arrhythmia) and has been linked to cases of sudden death.

    Lungs

People who drink a lot of alcohol have more lung infections, are more likely to suffer collapsed lungs and can be more likely to get pneumonia. When a person vomits as a result of drinking alcohol, they may choke if vomit gets sucked into their lungs.

    Liver

Drinking too much alcohol initially causes fat deposits to develop in the liver. With continued excessive drinking, the liver may become inflamed, causing alcoholic hepatitis, which can result in liver failure and death. Excessive alcohol can permanently scar and damage the liver, resulting in liver cirrhosis and an increased risk of liver cancer. Women are particularly susceptible to the effects of alcohol on the liver.

    Stomach

Drinking above recommended limits can lead to stomach ulcers, internal bleeding and cancer. Alcohol can cause the stomach to become inflamed (gastritis), which can prevent food from being absorbed and increase the risk of cancer.

    Pancreas

Heavy or prolonged use of alcohol can cause inflammation of the pancreas, which can be very painful – causing vomiting, fever and weight loss – and can be fatal.

    Intestine

Heavy drinking may result in ulcers and cancer of the colon. It also affects your body’s ability to absorb nutrients and vitamins.

    Kidneys

Heavy drinking can increase your risk of developing high blood pressure – a leading cause of chronic kidney disease.

    bones

Alcohol interferes with the body’s ability to absorb calcium. As a result, your bones become weak and thin (osteoporosis).

    Weight gain

Alcohol is high in calories. Weight for weight, the alcohol in a drink contains almost as many calories as fat. The average bottle of wine contains 600 calories while four pints of average strength lager contain 640.

    Skin

Alcohol dehydrates your body and your skin. It also widens blood vessels, causing your skin to look red or blotchy.

    Sexual health

Binge drinking makes you lose your inhibitions and affects your judgement. This may make you less likely to use a condom, which increases your risk of getting a sexually transmitted infection such as chlamydia, HIV or hepatitis. It can also lead to an unplanned pregnancy.

    Mental health

People may think that alcohol helps them cope with difficult situations and emotions, and that it reduces stress or relieves anxiety, but alcohol is in fact associated with a range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, risk-taking behaviour, personality disorders and schizophrenia.

Alcohol has also been linked to suicide. The Mental Health Foundation reports that:

    • 65% of suicides have been linked to excessive drinking;
    • 70% of men who take their own life drink alcohol before doing so;
    • almost one third of suicides among young people take place while the person is intoxicated.

Excessive drinking can disrupt normal sleeping patterns, resulting in insomnia and a lack of restful sleep, which can contribute to stress and anxiety.1

    1. Mental Health Foundation. Cheers! Understanding the relationship between alcohol and mental health. London: Mental Health Foundation, 2006.

    Other effects

Alcohol affects the parts of your brain that control judgement, concentration, coordination, behaviour and emotions. If you binge drink, you may be at greater risk of:

    • becoming a victim of crime, eg rape, domestic violence, mugging or assault;
    • being involved in anti-social or criminal behaviour, eg fights, domestic violence, vandalism or theft;
    • having an accident, eg a road accident, fall, accident at work or accidental fire;
    • losing your job, eg repeated absence or poor performance (think about the financial consequences);
    • damaging relationships with family or friends.

Education system

0
appreciates education
give education, take education

The term education system generally refers to public schooling, not private schooling, and more commonly to kindergarten through high school programs. Schools or school districts are typically the smallest recognized form of education system” and countries are the largest. States are also considered to have education systems.

While the term education system is widely and frequently used in news media and public discourse, it may be difficult to determine precisely what the term is referring to when it is used without qualification, specific examples, or additional explanation.

Like the teaching profession, education systems are, by nature, extremely complex and multifaceted, and the challenges entailed in reforming or improving them can be similarly complex and multifaceted.

Education system

In the Beginning

In ancient times, India had the Gurukula system of education in which anyone who wished to study went to a teacher’s (Guru) house and requested to be taught. If accepted as a student by the guru, he would then stay at the guru’s place and help in all activities at home. This not only created a strong tie between the teacher and the student, but also taught the student everything about running a house. The guru taught everything the child wanted to learn, from Sanskrit to the holy scriptures and from Mathematics to Metaphysics. The student stayed as long as she wished or until the guru felt that he had taught everything he could teach. All learning was closely linked to nature and to life, and not confined to memorizing some information.

The modern school system was brought to India, including the English language, originally by Lord Thomas Babington Macaulay in the 1830s. The curriculum was confined to “modern” subjects such as science and mathematics, and subjects like metaphysics and philosophy were considered unnecessary. Teaching was confined to classrooms and the link with nature was broken, as also the close relationship between the teacher and the student.

The School System

There is a national organization that plays a key role in developing policies and programmes, called the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) that prepares a National Curriculum Framework. Each state has its counterpart called the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT). These are the bodies that essentially propose educational strategies, curricula, pedagogical schemes and evaluation methodologies to the states’ departments of education. The SCERTs generally follow guidelines established by the NCERT. But the states have considerable freedom in implementing the education system.

The school system in India has four levels: lower primary (age 6 to 10), upper primary (11 and 12), high (13 to 15) and higher secondary (17 and 18). The lower primary school is divided into five “standards”, upper primary school into two, high school into three and higher secondary into two. Students have to learn a common curriculum largely (except for regional changes in mother tongue) till the end of high school. There is some amount of specialization possible at the higher secondary level. Students throughout the country have to learn three languages (namely, English, Hindi and their mother tongue) except in regions where Hindi is the mother tongue and in some streams as discussed below.

Exclusive Schools

In addition to the above, there are a relatively small number of schools that follow foreign curricula such as the so-called Senior Cambridge, though this was largely superseded by the ICSE stream elsewhere. Some of these schools also offer the students the opportunity to sit for the ICSE examinations. These are usually very expensive residential schools where some of the Indians working abroad send their children. They normally have fabulous infrastructure, low student-teacher ratio and very few students. Many of them have teachers from abroad. There are also other exclusive schools such as the Doon School in Dehradun that take in a small number of students and charge exorbitant fees.

State Schools

Each state in the country has its own Department of Education that runs its own school system with its own textbooks and evaluation system. As mentioned earlier, the curriculum, pedagogy and evaluation method are largely decided by the SCERT in the state, following the national guidelines prescribed by the NCERT.

Each state has three kinds of schools that follow the state curriculum. The government runs its own schools in land and buildings owned by the government and paying the staff from its own resources. These are generally known as government schools. The fees are quite low in such schools. Then there are privately owned schools with their own land and buildings. Here the fees are high and the teachers are paid by the management.

The Case of Kerala

The state of Kerala, a small state in the South Western coast of India, has been different from the rest of the country in many ways for the last few decades. It has, for instance, the highest literacy rate among all states, and was declared the first fully literate state about a decade back. Life expectancy, both male and female, is very high, close to that of the developed world. Other parameters such as fertility rate, infant and child mortality are among the best in the country, if not the best. The total fertility rate has been below the replacement rate of 2.1 for the last two decades. Probably as a side-effect of economic and social development, suicide rates and alcoholism are also very high. Government policies also have been very different from the rest of the country, leading to the development model followed in Kerala, with high expenditure in education and welfare, coming to be known as the “Kerala Model“ among economists.

Unemployment: the cause of suicide

unemployment leads suicide
the main cause of suicide

Losing a job, a home, retirement income, or incurring mounting debt are all linked to a wide variety of negative health outcomes. They can aggravate existing conditions and may create new problems. In some cases they may lead to thoughts of suicide, and with some individuals may lead to suicide attempts and completions.

DEFINITION

Unemployment  in good times or bad is a far bigger factor in suicides than an economic crisis, accounting for nine times as many deaths, according to a study.

The recent economic downturn has caused about 5,000 deaths in 63 countries, whereas unemployment over the period 2000 to 2011 was responsible for 45,000, incidents happen.

“Our findings reveal that the suicide rate increases six months before a rise in unemployment. What is more, our data suggests that not all job losses necessarily have an equal impact, as the effect on suicide risk appears to be stronger in countries where being out of work is uncommon.

“It is possible that an unexpected increase in the unemployment rate may trigger greater fears and insecurity than in countries with higher pre-crisis unemployment levels.”

Why the suicide rate for young man is rising?

And when your self-esteem takes a hit, you tend to isolate yourself and withdraw socially from the people you care about, says Ryan.

If you’re facing a job loss—or feel it might be looming on the horizon—your best bet is to be proactive. Follow these three steps to boost your mental health and better absorb the blow:

  1. Keep Working a 9-to-5

Just because you don’t have to punch a clock, that doesn’t mean your days should be a free-for-all. Instead, use your time to your advantage.

“You likely had a lot of structure when you were working, and not having any can be its own kind of stressful,” says Ryan.

Keep yourself calm by fostering some order. Create a schedule that’s built around accomplishing manageable goals—not unrealistic, stress-inducing ones, like landing a great new gig in under a week. (The better play: Aim to send out three unique resumes in a day.) Then make sure you stick to it.

  1. Seek out Services

Don’t blow off the help your company can give you. Outplacement serviceseither from your former job or the local unemployment office—offer useful guidance and resources, ranging from résumé building to interview practice.

Perhaps more importantly, these kinds of tools also give you a chance to connect with others who are in the same situation and truly understand your challenges.

  1. Beat Your Blues

Do you find yourself sleeping all day, continually replaying a certain memory from your job loss, or feeling an overall lack of hope? Any of these could signal more than just low spirits.

It’s not uncommon to become depressed after a layoff. In fact, a study from George Washington University found that 42 percent of people who lost their jobs scored above the cutoff level for potential depression in mood tests.

So if you feel like you just can’t shake the blues, seek the guidance of a trained counselor. He or she will lend you a non-judgmental ear, and will help you get the treatment you need.

“Besides specific therapeutic interventions, sufficient investment by governments in active labour market policies that enhance the efficiency of labour markets could help generate additional jobs and reduce the unemployment rate, helping to offset the impact on suicide.”

Paranormal things and extraterrestrial life

its just a psychology
the power of our subconsious mind

The term “paranormal” has existed in the English Language since at least 1920. The word consists of two parts: para and normal. The definition implies that the scientific explanation of the world around us is ‘normal’ and anything that is above, beyond, or contrary to that is ‘para’.

The following is some information on five basic categories and some information pertaining to each that can be considered “subcategories”.

Not all hauntings can be easily categorized and we must be careful not to jump to conclusions in any case. In some cases, what appears to be the work of a human agent may actually be that of the spirits, and vice versa. There is also a multitude of exterior factors that do affect the circumstances that be. Solar flares, the earth’s magnetic fields, storms, etc. all a play an important role when trying to discern the cause of and effect of paranormal or ghostly occurrences.

Intelligent haunting

The key factor in an intelligent haunting is that the ghost can interact with you (communication—it responds and notices human beings). If the ghost does not notice you or other human beings, and cannot interact or communicate with you, it’s not an intelligent haunting.

Residual Haunting

This type of phenomena is much more common than people think and I would even go as far as to say that it is the most common type of reported phenomena around. We have to remember not to confuse this type of phenomena with an”Intelligent” haunting because, while it is fascinating and unexplained, it may not be specifically related to ghosts.

Paranormal subjects

Paranormal events are phenomena described in popular culture, folklore, and other non-scientific bodies of knowledge, whose existence within these contexts is described to lie beyond normal experience or scientific explanations.

A paranormal phenomenon is different from hypothetical concepts such as dark matter and dark energy. Unlike paranormal phenomena, these hypothetical concepts are based on emperical observations and experimental data gained through the scientific method.

Paranormal research

Approaching the paranormal from a research perspective is often difficult because of the lack of acceptable physical evidence from most of the purported phenomena. By definition, the paranormal does not conform to conventional expectations of nature. Therefore, a phenomenon cannot be confirmed as paranormal using the scientific method because, if it could be, it would no longer fit the definition.

Fundamental sequences

Actually, there is nothing like the ghost type things but actually there is a psychological facts. when we believe in something,we act like just that it happens and we want it to be happen. so in fact the normal things conclude the things that we belief in an automatic repository factor.

There are basically three things you need to know about the paranormal.

1. Paranormal Activity IS REAL – People who don’t believe in the paranormal or dismiss it as superstition are usually people who have never experienced it. But try and tell that to those who HAVE! Try and tell someone who wakes up in the morning with marks and bruises in their body from something that happened to them during the night! Go tell someone that sees objects move by themselves in the house or hears someone call their name loud and clear when no one is there! It doesn’t matter if someone says it’s not real – for those to whom it happens, paranormal experiences are VERY REAL.

2. Paranormal Activity IS DEMONIC – In other words, it’s not the spirit of your dead grandmother or some lost soul who’s coming back to haunt you or is trying to communicate with you. Demons are a spiritual force that can affect people in the physical world and one of the ways they do that is through paranormal activity. Most of the stuff you saw in the movie – except for the Hollywood special effects – are things that demons can do to people in real life. In my work I have dealt with countless cases of people who are attacked during their sleep, who sense a real, negative presence around them, who hear voices, and whose lives were ruined by demonic attacks. And I’m talking about perfectly normal people, who had jobs, families, an education, and yet all they knew was useless against those attacks. It’s very important you know that demonic forces are what is actually behind the paranormal.

3. There’s Only ONE WAY of Stopping Paranormal Activity – There’s a lot of non-sense around when it comes to driving out demons. You hear about exorcisms, demonologists, Ouija boards, calling in a priest who needs to get authorization from the Vatican to carry out an exorcism and things like that – none of which can effectively deal with the paranormal. The ONLY WAY I know to deal with demonic attacks effectively is found in the book of Mark 16.17, where Jesus said: “In my Name they will cast out demons.” (And while you’re at it, take a look also in Luke 19.10.) In other words, in the spiritual realm, there’s only ONE NAME that demons respect.

If you have been experiencing the paranormal; if you feel you’re under some demonic attack of any kind, the best thing you can do is find someone who truly KNOWS the Lord Jesus, who is committed to Him – not a religious person or just anyone waving the Bible at you – someone who really has a relationship with God, who is not afraid of demons and therefore in HIS NAME has authority over them. A true Christian will not have any trouble helping you and showing how to stop these attacks permanently.
