The Effect of Colors on Our Emotions

0

Colors make our lives bright and lively. They also have a very direct and instant effect on our emotions. Various colors represent various emotions to us. It differs from person to person. For eg. Red is a feisty color. It represents passion and aggression. Some might also relate Red to danger. I find the color Red active and energetic. It can pop out from any other colors. In a flower arrangement or from a bunch of clothes, Red stands out and I seem to be attracted to it. The same way, we all have different preferences in color.

We might associate some colors to safety as they may be related to our childhood memories. It can be a pretty yellow doll house or a blue toy car or even a big pink teddy bear that one cherished at that age. Such memories allocate an emotion to a particular color, either happy or sad. This happens because we all have experienced emotions differently. Ergo, each color represent something different to us.
Seeing some colors help us to control our emotions. If we are enraged, annoyed or even stressed, studies have shown that looking at calming hues of green and blue helps to stay calm and composed.

During monsoon, we prefer to choose bright colors to combat the otherwise cloudy and dull weather. Colors like Red, Pink, Yellow, etc., can cheer us up. People experiencing depression or those who have attempted suicide are exposed to such bright colors to help improve their mood leading them to be marginally happy.

Colors also play a vital role in our Indian culture. We associate bright colors to a happy occasion. This can be stemmed from the fact that in our celebrations and weddings, we wear a lot of bright, happy colors like Red, Pink, Orange, Yellow, etc. In most of the Indian weddings, the bride usually dons a Red garment.
Whereas at a funeral, we wear somber colors like grey, black or white. Hence, many have a negative perception about such colors.

Colors are usually divided into two, namely warm colors and cool colors. Warm colors are hues red and yellow like orange and pink, whereas the cool colors are a combination of blues and greens like purple and teal.

Warm colors remind us of the sunlight, fire and autumn. Hence it signifies warmth and passion. It induces creative thinking. Studies show that colors like orange increase hunger. It is stimulating and is perceived as energetic.

colors on our emotions

Cool colors on the other hand are calming and soothing as we relate those to a lake or the ocean. Generally, bedrooms are painted in these shades so as to help us relax. These colors often have a comforting quality.
We can conclude that colors can have a varied yet definite effect on our emotions. Colors therefore, play a very important role in our lives and if used appropriately, it can aid for our well-being.

So, add that splash of colors in your life!!

From the current budget the housing and the small business sectors would gain an immense growth drastically.

Wrapping it up: The History of Condoms is Nothing You’d Expect

2

The history of condoms goes back at least several centuries back and perhaps beyond that. Condoms have been used both as a method of birth control, and as a protective measure against sexually transmitted diseases. Condoms have been made from a variety of materials; prior to the 19th century, chemically treated linen and animal tissue (intestine or bladder) are the best documented varieties. Rubber condoms gained popularity in the mid-19th century, and in the early 20th century major advances were made in manufacturing techniques.

  1. 15000 B.C

The history of condom dates back to 15000 B.C. This might be a fact for many but the oldest known image of a sheathed penis is evident from the cave paintings which date back to 15000 B.C.

2. LATE B.C. / EARLY A.D.

During the Roman Empire, the first documented condoms were hand-sewn pieces of linen that fit over either the entire penis, just the tip or into the urethra. The loincloths worn by Egyptian and Greek labourers were very spare, sometimes consisting of little more than a covering for the glans of the penis. Records of these types of loincloths being worn by men in higher classes have made some historians speculate they were worn during intercourse.

3. 1400-1700

In the Asia the people of higher class or basically the aristocrat people were using glans condoms, which covered only the head of the penis. They were made of oiled paper, intestine, animal horn or from the shell of tortoise. During the Renaissance, condoms were primarily made out of linen, goat intestines and gall bladder of goat.

This condom is made from the intestine of pig which dates back to the 14th century.  These are basically the glans-only condoms made of oiled silk paper, lamb intestines, tortoiseshell or animal horn in China and Japan in the 14th Century.

4. 1855

The first rubber condom was produced in the year 1855. This new material was a major shift towards a more reliable method of contraceptives. The major demerit of these condoms was that they were as thick as bicycle inner tubes. Some condoms were also produced in late 19th century around 1897 which had Queen Victoria’s face printed on them as her children had sexually transmitted diseases.

5. 1918

Condoms began to be publicly, legally sold to Americans for the first time since Comstock Act of 1873.

The snap depicts the first ever condom advertisement in the year 1918.

6. 1920

The Young’s Rubber Company manufactured the first latex condom with the hopes of providing people a more natural feeling option.

7. 1957

The first lubricated condom was manufactured in the year 1957 in UK.

8. 1990s

As condoms continued to be adopted as a necessity, the condom manufacturers began producing flavoured, coloured and textured styles of condoms.

9. 2000s to till date

In the first major advancement for condoms since the invention of latex, the makers of LifeStyles introduced their SKYN brand the first clinically-approved polyisoprene condom. It’s the closest thing to wear nothing.

5 Property Buying Mistakes Millennials Make

0

Millennials. Generation X -The generation between 18 and 35; the young experts, flooding the workforce. They’ve cut back on KFC, taken up a job and borrowed money from mommy and daddy, in order to buy that phone which comes with a sky-high price or the car they wanted to show off. Now, this demographic has also inundated the real estate market as well. But, of any demographic, millennials have the weakest sense of financial  literacy and reported very low levels of economic satisfaction, according to a study by the ‘Global financial Literacy Excellence center’.

Buying a home is a major purchase, and there are plenty of ways to trip up. But don’t worry—we’ve got a quick fix right here.

1)  Don’t buy a house if you’re planning to move again soon

5 Property Buying Mistakes Millennials Make
Right Swipe?

If you’re a renter, it can be frustrating to write that rent check every month and have no home equity to show for it at the end of the year. But if you aren’t certain that you’re going to stay put for a few years, it’s probably not the right time to buy—equity or no equity. Some people tend to buy a house knowing that they’re going to be relocating after a few years.

What to do: If you aren’t in an area with a strong rental market that would allow you to cover the mortgage on your home if you move elsewhere, then stick with a rental for now.

2) Not Getting Pre-Approved

Buying a home should never start with searching for listings online. If you’re serious about buying, start by meeting with a lender. Although that seems backwards to many first-time homebuyers (“Why would I talk to someone about getting money for a home I haven’t found yet?!”) it’s going to help you in the long run.

When you get pre-approved for a mortgage, it means you have met with a lender and showed them your credit report, debt, income, and assets in order to provide a picture of your finances. With that information, they will draft a pre-approval letter – something that tells you how much money you’re potentially qualified for, but isn’t a guarantee of money. Realtors look for a pre-approval letter when working with you because it shows you’ve done your homework and you know your price range.

5 Property Buying Mistakes Millennials Make
Smooth..

What to do:  Get pre-approved for a mortgage. Not only will this prove that you’re serious to your realtor and to home sellers, but it will also give you an idea of your upper limit. Remember that the lender is there to make you a loan, and the more money you borrow, the better it is for them.

3) Mixing up online calculations with reality

Phew!!

Millennials will not know what true heartbreak feels like until they bid on their dream home, only to have the offer fall through in financing. Do not be fooled by putting all your trust in online calculators to tell you how much you can afford. These are merely a guide but do not account for things like your credit score, which can affect your mortgage rate.

What to do:   Go to a bank and go to a lender. Find out what you will be approved for exactly and make sure to check your credit score.

4) Thinking the amount a bank will lend you is what you can afford

5 Property Buying Mistakes Millennials Make
Remember the queues?!

Up until now you’ve had a phone bill, an electricity bill and some student loans. When you buy a property you may wrongly assume that you’re only adding a single extra bill — the mortgage, to that list of monthly payments. The truth is there are many costs that lenders don’t factor in when calculating what you can comfortably afford.

What to do: You should not focus on how much you’re able to borrow, but rather on how much you should borrow. There is a big difference. Add up all your current living expenses, plus the extra expenses associated with home-ownership that you can think of, then tack on at least 5% to 10% of your monthly income for savings. Circle that number in red, because that’s what you really can afford.

5) Don’t skip the inspection

Even if the home looks like it’s in winning shape, it would be foolish to skip a thorough once-over by a professional. People tend to think that the inspection and the appraisal are the same thing, which is not the case! An expert should be there to spot the things you don’t know to look for, like if the chimney is in great shape or whether those little cracks in the foundation are a big deal. He’ll look for signs of water damage and check the insulation in the attic. If there are conditions that will need repair, you may be able to negotiate with the seller to drop the price. In other words, the inspection is worth every penny.

What to do: Get recommendations from your realtor or friends who’ve bought in the area, and have a professional inspection done before you close on the house.

There you have it, five errors you could currently combat as you purchase a home for the very first time. Use these tips to guarantee your home-buying encounter goes as efficiently as possible!

Can Men and Women Be JUST FRIENDS

4

Men and women are relegated as two most important pillars of the society . They share great intimacy, affection and a sense of belief in each other. It has often been said that -“women make the lives of men beautiful “.They nurture and garner friendship ,love, respect and many other intricate feelings with each other . But since the time of Adam and Eve there has been a big question mark on whether the relationship of a man and woman be limited to the boundaries of just friends tag or not. Let’s try to scoop this out…

Every person in this world would answer this question in entirely different way.For some people it would be a myth and for some it would be difficult to believe that both sexes can’t avoid each others presence for long.

Take the example of a guy who is single in his group . He will definitely strive hard to gain the attention of other women in his group .The relationship of a man and a woman is like anecdote which can’t keep you away for long. Men and women often think that they are friends but there is always a possibility that the other person’s mind is expecting much more than that even if they don’t share this feeling with anyone .

Can Men and Women Be JUST FRIENDS

What Research Says

According to a research physical attraction is seen among every man and woman . A 2012 study established this fact that in the majority of opposite-sex friendships, there’s at least a low level of attraction. Researchers have even found out that men are mostly more inclined towards women.

Basically, this study gives us the scientific explanation for the “friend zone.” Women and men are often on completely different standards when it comes to their cross-sex relationships!

Some Interesting Facts About Cross Sex Just Friends Tagline

  • Men are more fascinated towards women when hanging together as friends and they expect much more than just being friends from the opposite sex.
  • Women can have the ability to maintain “just friends” tag in cross gender friendship.
  • Men are supposedly the weak link in maintaining the friendship equation.
  • Men are not only more romantically inclined towards their female friends but they also believe that the same is going inside other person’s mind.
  • Guys find it hard to accept No from their female friends and thus often hesitate in expressing their feelings .
  • Most men and women end up cheating on their spouse with a close opposite sex friend .

Image result for men and women together picsSo this is quite evident that there is some sort of emotional and physical connection between the opposite genders and there are always chances of something getting cooked up from simple friendship. Often great relationships start with friendship. The genetic plethora of cross sex friendship has many dimensions quite arguable. But this argument can’t end as each one of us have different experiences and varying viewpoint .

What matters is true friendship . Everything above and over it is what our eyes are subjected to see. In the real world, we should acknowledge our friendship above attraction – whether one-sided or mutual – without destroying things .

At a boring party? ways to tackle it

0
welcome friends
friends makes our life complete

Once in our life we all have attended parties in which we feel very alone and one thing that come into our mind when this shit will get over. These  things happens with each and every individual when they feel lonely and they started feeling like oh my god why I am here , it’s better to be in bed rather than  attending this party .  A good party needs the right kind of people, games, hosts and food and beverages to be fun.  So what do you do if you find yourself stuck at party which has none of these ingredients of perfection? Why, you make your own fun of course! Here are ten ways in which you can pass time at a boring party:

Smartphone on rescue

The best way to entertain yourself in a party is use your smartphones. Now days there are so many social   networking sites in which we can pass our time. Why would anyone ever be bored when they have facebook, twitter, pinterest and funny cat videos just a click away.  There are so many stalkers on these sites. You can also pass your time by chatting with these stalkers. If you are not socially active then the best way to pass your time is playing games on your phone. This will definitely pass your time and make your party less boring.

It’s time to get booze

Yes consuming alcohol is dangerous for our health. But if we are facing this serious ignorance by rest of the people and before you started feeling like a zombie. You should consume alcohol because alcohol makes even the dullest of parties and gatherings appear more fun.  So instead of looking for ways to pass time, get some alcohol into your system and time will move faster! Parties tend to be more fun and people more entertaining once you’re two beers down, so don’t let that open bar go to waste. But be responsible and don’t drive if you are drunk.

Try your observation skills

This is something that people who use public transport on a regular basis swear by. Observing others can be a surprisingly enjoyable pastime. There are a different type of people’s in the party like love birds, fighting couple, weirdoes, beauty queens, show off buddy, boozers etc. All these varieties of species can pass your time very easily. You can even know the latest trends of clothing and accessories.

Food Food Food

Name one thing that is better than food? Free food! One thing that is common to all parties is free food. In fact, a lot of people admit to attending parties mostly because of the food that they will be served. If you are getting bored at your place and you are craving for tasty Junk food. .And you have an invitation of a party. Then it will like a jackpot for you. You can simply load your plate up with the tastiest of food items being served and sit down to enjoy a good meal. After the first few satisfying bites you’ll even forget that you were at a boring party in the first place.

  • Replying

Yes, I know this sound like a terrible thing to do at a party. Who wants to reply to tedious messages and get to work on all those emails they have been ignoring for some time now. Getting to work at a party seems like a terrible thing.  Make use of that smartphone of yours and get to replying to all those emails piling up in your inbox. Think also of all the time you will save at work the next morning so you can nap at your desk. You can even reply all those friends who you try to ignore. This thing will have 2 benefits firstly you will able to pass your time and secondly you will able to know about gossips in your so called friend circle.

Find a friend

What is better than one person suffering alone? Two people suffering together, of course! If you find yourself at a party where fun is simply not happening, why not find a friend who is as bored as you. See if the friends you came with are actually enjoying themselves? Chances are that you will probably find a couple of them who are as bored as you. Stick together and do your own fun activities that could include making fun of common enemies or judging everyone else in the room. Alternately, make new friends! Scan the room and see if you can find someone who is also not enjoying themselves. Band together.

Strike up a conversation

The best part about parties, according to me at least, is the opportunity of meeting new people/ future friends. So why not make use of the fact that you are surrounded by strangers who are probably a lot of fun once you get to know them? Go strike up a conversation with someone who looks like they would enjoy the same things that you would. But don’t be creepy about it and leave if they don’t seem to want you.

I hope that these ways  will definitely help you  to get rid  of boring parties .

Review of Movie ‘Kung Fu Yoga’

0

There is no word better than lazy to accurately describe Jackie Chan‘s new film ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ in which the Hong Kong action star plays an Indiana Jones like figure, on a quest to unearth buried treasure from an ancient Indian kingdom. From fire-eaters and exotic magicians who perform rope tricks to multiple cameos by snakes and modern day princesses in Maganlal Dresswala costumes, the movie shamelessly panders to all manner of stereotypes.

Yet none of this hurt as bad as the realization that now sixty-two year old marshal art legend may no longer up to the giddy death defying stunts that were the hallmark of his earlier films. Barring a few scenario that rely on his trademark slapstick humour and nifty acrobatics, Jackie Chan leaves most of the physical exertion to his younger co-stars, motley mixed of Asian and Indian actors who sadly has none of his charisma.

Memorable but only for its sheer silliness is a scene in which he speeds his way through the crowded streets of Dubai while attempting to pacify an angry lion in the backseat. Sonu Sood who sports a multitude of goddy jackets with only one expression is the villain of the peace and Disha Patani and Amira Dastur are pretty but vapid leading ladies. There is some fun to be had when the gang let’s their fancy fight moves do the talking i which they are trapped with pack of hungry hyenas. Directed by Stanley Tong, who helmed some of most Chang’s popular hits including Super Cop and Rumble In The Bronx, this film has unmistakeable calculated feel to it as if scripted and designed specifically to expand the star’s Indian fan base.

From throwing in much mythological mumbo-jumbo to blatent Hinduism references, the makers of this flick can be accused of many things but subtlety is not one of them. Sadly for us Jackie Chan for himself whose winning cocktail for go for broke physical comedy and life-risking stunt work turned him from a local Chinese star into a beloved Hollywood action hero appears to be in auto-pilot mode here. His once impeccable timing is no longer split second, and gone is that scrappy underdog charm that endeared him to the fans. The only time viewer’s had a good laugh was when they saw watching his expressions fly as he sportingly shook a leg in the big Bollywood like dance number in the end. Kung Fu Yoga is the disappointment for Jackie Chan’s fans. The actor deserves better and so do we.
