Well if you are a Delhi University student you must be very well aware of the shooting cut-offs of the courses in Delhi University.

DU girls are beauty with brains!

Since DU is considered among the best of the universities in India, the girls in this University are definitely not bimbos, they have got style with brains- and that’s for sure!

Life as a Paying Guest or PG

Most of the DU students are unable to get the hostel facility and hence live as paying guest or commonly called PG probably near the college campus. So, besides hostels DU student have that feel of living as PG and managing their stuff.

Metro/DTC Bus/Auto/rickshaw as daily means ofTransport

If you are a Delhi based person and had got into DU or maybe a Paying Guest living far off from the college campus, then Metro, DTC Buswould be your lifeline. If it’s that, that you live just a few minutes away from your college, then rickshaw or an auto will be your guest. In any of the case, travel becomes a part of life just like the daily chores you do!

Elections!

Dude, seriously being in DU definitely help you know better about the election stuff. Elections in DU are way big deal than in any other college, the rallies and the promotion stuff is way beyond the limit!

Attendance Crisis!

Well, you heard it right just like any other college, DU colleges do suck for attendance and they do it real bad. The attendance criterion in DU colleges is a sure thing to do. You can escape anything but the attendance crisis, and I mean it literally. If you don’t meet the respective criteria for attendance say your last prayers because there’s no chance in heaven to have your semester saved!

Annual Fests are love!

Well, this sort of thing is true in the case of Delhi University. The festivals or fests are a sure thing to go for. DU fests are considered to be among the best of all in India. The mouthwatering food, the games and events arranged and the best of all–the star nights and EDM nights/DJ night are way beyond expectations. Students actually look forward to these festivals and by students, I not only mean DU students but students from other colleges as well.

College Societies/Activities

DU colleges do give a damn about the activities other than studies; they have got a lot of societies be it a dancing society or a singing society and they are pretty good at their stuff and therefore turns to be one of the best university to give a proper exposure to students.

Being a DU student is kinda big deal!

That’s right, if you are DU student, everyone would have max expectations from you. And one thing all DU students would agree to is that the reaction everyone gives you when you tell them that you are in DU “Man, you are in DU, you must have studied your ass off, well, way to go!”

In-Budget canteens

Unlike other govt. colleges, DU canteens are a sure thing to love! They are so in the budget and yet provide some best of best canteen stuff ranging from samosa to dosa or pasta, DU canteens don’t lag behind!

All in all, being a DU student sure is a proud thing to say and it definitely turns to give a true lively experience of college life.

Movie Riview of Machine!

What would you expect from a movie which shows a nun wearing lipstick and a college girl entering a scene like she has just come from a fashion shoot? Well, that is the opening of the movie ‘Machine’ and I sensed that this flick is in great trouble. The protagonist Mustafa tried very hard but his acting skills are so limited that all his efforts went in vain. It is hard to imagine now that once upon a time ‘Abbas-Mustan’ were a Bollywood genre. Their stories were cheezy thriller but were serve best by them for the Indian pallette.

Kiara Advani in the movie Machine

This is not just a bad film, it is incoherent, illogical, baseless and flat out nutty. Nothing in the flick makes any sense. The dialogues like “Mai break par pao nahi rakhta kyunki mujhe maut se dar nahi lagta‘ does not work now. The protagonist plays rich race-car driver who tries hard but the non-sensible narrative of the film prevents him from making any positive impact.

Kiara plays a girl for whom all men are vying for. She was noticeable in M.S. Dhoni the untold story but here it seems like she is competing with everyone to win award for bad acting. There is one hammy scene where the Romeo and Juliet play of Shakespeare is involved which adds to the awfullness of the movie. The film ends with a quote of Swami Vivdkanand, Mahatma Gandhi and Steve Jobs worsening it’s ending too. Movies like this are colossal waste of money!

We know him as the son of one of the most veteran script-writers. We also know him as an ace actor and director. Looking at his family background one is bound to think that Farhan has talent in his genes. To our surprise he tells us that it is his diligence who has braught him here!

Q) Was Farhan always a performer?

A) Here the actor tells us he was very influenced by movies as a child and this is why at a young age he realized the influence that movies have. So, things that people propogate have influences of movies at impressionable minds.

Q) What an actor should do or practice to become a character completely?

A) Farhan tells us in order to become character completey, an actor should ask his queries to writer. Why to writer? Because they are the people who have been living with the character in their minds for longest time, so they have already visualised the character and can give an actor the best idea about it.

Q) Taking tips from writer instead of director is Farhan’s take! Has this attitude came being a child of two writers?

A) Here, Farhan tells us he definetly has a respect for writing craft but taking tips from a writer is not necessarily because he is a child of writer. Further, he tells that he has the influence of all the actors he worked with. As they havr impressed him so much, he had followed them.

Q) When Farhan was a child he did bathe at his mom’s bed once! Why?

A) He laughingly tells us that Zoya always used to say that he was adopted and she had a bath in mom’s room. She never mentioned bathroom and he thought bathing in mom’s room made her a superior child. So to equal her, he took bath at his mother’s bed.(laughs)

Q) Farhan’s mother used to call him a nightmare and used to worry a lot about his future! Why?

A)The actor reveals when he was in second year of his college, he just stopped going to college and would just watch movies at home, and seeing this attitude his mother was very worried. He did this for about year and a half and after that he told his mom that he wanted to be an director. She was initially very apprehensive but as he started getting successful she got relaxed.

Music director A.R. Rehman has recently visited K.M. College of Music and technology where he told us many things which his fans crave to know. He has his music conservatory which is unique in its own way. In an interview, he unearths it all. Let us take a look!

Q)25 years of A.R. Rehman this year! Does he think of the boy who made his first band or composed add jingles 25 years back?

A)No he does not. At that time Rehman was just taking everything that came his way and did not plan anything at his own.
Q)This year is 25th year of the movie ‘Roja’ directed by Mani Ratnam and once again Rehman is having a flick as a music director with Mani Ratnam. We ask him how does this collaboration lasted for so long?

A) Here the Oscar winning singer and music director tells us that more than a filmmaker, Mani Ratnam is special as a person to him as he gave Rehman his first break and is like a brother to him. So he stuck with him because of the human he is not because of the power he has.
Q) After composing plethora of songs, how does he not stuck into monotony?

A) He tells us that when he feels like he cannot put any new tone in a situation, he just dodge that work.

Q) Does he have time to supervise or offer suggestions in his conservatory to learners?

A) He tells us that the team he has for learners is great and all of them take music very seriously. So there never has been a need for him to go and take supervision himself.
Q) Anything special about his conservatory.

A) Rehman tells us that his music conservatory constitutes students of all ages from 6 to 60 and this is one of the interesting thing about this place. He also highlights the fact that age is no bar here.
Q) In Bollywood today songs have become more important than composers, so we ask Rehman, what he thinks people are adopting, composers or songs?
A) Here he says that people are smart enough to follow composers because they have seen who has done what. So it is music composer who holds more importance.

Bollywood despite working so hard have always been considered as a fickle industry by self-proclaimed caretakers of society. From vandalising sets, to create halla baloo on release, the Hindi cinema has seen it all. Here, I give you list of the five movies which have faced problems before or after it’s release.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Recently during border tentions between India and Pakistan, director Karan Johar was called names and was accused of being insensitive towards his country. Mere reason was a cameo by Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. The film got myriad obstructions in its release by Hindu group’s extremists but finally came as a subtle call after it got released!

Director-Rajkumar Santoshi

This film had put light on all dark realities which Indian women(rural and urban) go through. The movie involved thought provoking and extreme scenes (including infanticide of girl child) and was banned after few days of it’s release.

Raees

Director-Rahul Dholakia

This movie was in controversy for all the wrong reasons. Two of the most talked about were casting Pakistani actress(Mahira Khan) and second was telling a story of a gangster in a heroic manner. The release of the movie was in quagmire and later this movie was also banned in Pakistan, accusing Indian filmmakers to show Muslims in a wrong lite.

This movie never seen the light of the day in theatres. The movie was about a priest who gets attracted to a girl and begins a torrid affair with her. The roles were played by Shiney Ahuja and Seema Rahmani, which featured them in few risque scenes which were strongly opposed by Catholic community and the film never came to lite.

Padmavati

Most recent one is Padmavati where the sets have been vandalised and crew has been beaten up. All this is going on during the making of the film. The attackers have even threatened to continue their reckless behaviour if the shooting of the movie continues. Main alleged reason for these mishaps on sets is the intimate scene between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. This is the first Bollywood movie of Deepika Padukone after she completed her Hollywood flick XXX The Return Of Xander Cage.
