Women are also getting into business and mark my words, they are achieving more than any other men can. Business is all about instincts and these women have a superb instinct in this field. Lets meet some really badass business women who have enrol their names for histories of business world.

  1. CHITRA RAMKRISHNA (MD & CEO, National Stock Exchange)

Chitra Ramkrishna is the first and former MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) which was founded to reform the capital market in India. She not only maintained the rich legacy of the institute but her tireless endeavour ensured that the prestigious institute reached greater heights. Strong leadership qualities, a great understanding of market and a zeal for change motivated her to create an institute that is a source of pride for the country in the international market.

  1. ARUNDHATI BHATTACHARYA (Chairman, State Bank of India)

Arundhati Bhattacharya is currently the Chief-Managing Director of State Bank of India and when assumed office in the year 2013 she became the first woman chairperson of State Bank of India. The Forbes in the year 2016 listed her as 25th most powerful woman in the word. The fortune also ranked her 4th most powerful women in the Asia-Pacific region.

She has also plied her trade in the Bollywood and is considered as the queen of Indian Televison Industry.

Nita Ambani is the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation and a non-executive director of Reliance Industries. Ambani has received numerous honours including a place in the most influential women business leaders in Asia list by Forbes for the year 2016. She is also the owner of the IPL franchise team Mumbai Indians.

Tanya Arvind Dubash is the Executive Director and Chief Brand Officer at the Godrej group. She is the elder daughter of industrialist Adi Godrej. She is responsible for the Godrej Group’s marketing function which includes leadership of the Strategic Marketing Group that drives the development of brand Godrej.

  1. CHANDA KOCHHAR (CEO, ICICI Bank)

Chanda Kochhar is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank. She is widely popular for her role in introducing retail banking in India. Kochar joined ICICI as a management trainee in the year 1984. She was instrumental in setting up the bank in 1990s. In 2009 she was appointed as the MD and under her leadership ICICI Bank has won Best Retail Bank in India Award. She has continuously featured in Fortune’s list of “Most Powerful Women in Business” since 2005.

She is the Chief Executive Officer of Parle Agro which is an Indian Private limited company which deals in beverages, packaged drinking water and food stuffs. Under her leadership Parle Agros flagship brand Frooti regained the second spot in Indian Mango drink market.

With her experience of more than 24 years in setting up corporate functions and business operations, Rekha was one of the key architects in building India as Accenture’s largest geography.
