A prayer to the shooting star

0

The best melody I ever heard

Went flying over the head, like a bird.

Just kept myself blessed by it’s apparent sight

‘cause I knew I would never catch hold of it right.

A prayer to the shooting star

I badly need my drug, I really do

Give it to me, I need you to.

I plead, I bleed

For home is all I need you to lead

A prayer to the shooting star

Dreaming of dancing with the rain

Just to keep the crazy heart sane.

No more suffering, no more pain.

I’ll have it, no losses or gain.

Let me breathe

And will hold it for long, I promise.

Let me reach

And all the sorrow would be gone, just a kiss.

Let me draw

And I’ll paint a smile, they will never miss.

A prayer to the shooting star

Praying to the shooting star

Stay away from the skies, just so far.

‘cause wishes are meant to destroy, never granted

And I don’t want my ride home in a car rented.

5 Entrepreneurship lessons to learn from APJ Abdul Kalam

0

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was one of the greatest men across the world, Dr. Kalam has done wonders throughout his career. Dr.Kalam had showered some pearls of wisdom on entrepreneurship and we highlight some over here:

Once Abdul Kalam’s professor gave some words to him  and he followed them throughout his life and is also what he suggests to young entrepreneurs.

The world has many developing countries and few developed countries. What is the difference between them?

A developed country has to make a market in a competitive way to different countries to be as developed country. The developing country also makes market to other countries in a competitive way to get transformed into developed country.” So in both cases, Competitiveness is the common thing.” mentioned by Dr. Kalam.

While talking about entrepreneurship, he said- Profit with honesty leads to sustained growth. How is it possible? We need to have the National ethics for sustained growth and peace.

Where is it going to start?

  • The nation needs to have ethics in all its tasks, for great economic prosperity and peace.
  • If the nation is to have ethics; society has to promote ethics and value system.
  • If society is to have ethics and value system, families should stick to ethics and value system;
  • If families have to get evolved with ethics and value system, then the parent should have inbuilt ethics.
  • Parental ethics come from great learning, value based education, and a creation of the clean environment that leads to righteousness in the heart.

There is a lot of things can learn from the life stories of this great scientist, who is also respectfully called as the “Missile Man of India”, because of his great contribution towards India’s successful missile development programs.

  • Be entrepreneurial:

Kalam once said, “My message, especially to young people is courage to think differently, to invent, to travel the unexplored path,  to discover the impossible and to conquer the problems and succeed. These are great qualities that every young people must work towards. This is my message to the young people.”

He believed that entrepreneurship should be joined as one of the courses in India

  • Be a leader:

    Image result for leader

“Who is a leader?

“The person who we called leader must have the vision and passion. Should not afraid of any problem. Instead of afraid, he should know how to defeat it. Most importantly, he must work with honest.”

He inspired leadership by example. During the1980s, to allocate funds for aerospace projects under his directorship, despite the Union Cabinet’s disapproval he was able to convince Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India. These projects were instrumental in the growth of India’s space research program.

  • Be a dreamer:

“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.”

True entrepreneurs dream big and then work towards turning their dreams into reality.Under Dr. Kalam’s leadership, The  Union Government a budget of Rs. 388 crores were sanctioned for the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP) Under Dr. Kalam’s leadership. The program started in 1982-83 and run for 15 years. Under this program, the western world restricted access to any technology that which will help India with its missile program. Undaunted, Kalam worked with the dream program and this helped India successfully to develop critical technology, indigenously.

  • Be tenacious:

“Man needs difficulties in life because they are necessary to enjoy the success”.

After becoming a pilot with India Air Force got shattered, that tasks then young Kalam accepted an opportunity with the Ministry of Defence. He convinced himself that much better opportunities lay ahead.

  • Be ready to push the boundaries:

“There is no such thing as an impossible deadline”

Entrepreneurs that tasks should be complete with strict deadlines in a “succeed or perish” environment. The key is to apply oneself and work towards a solution.

As a young student at MIT, Kalam was told by his professor to recreate an aircraft design from the scratch or lose his scholarship. Moreover, he was given only 3 days to finish a job which ideally would have taken weeks. With determination, he came up with a design that won him accolades from the same professor.

  • Be responsible:

Don’t pretend to be a candle, be a moth. Know the power hidden in serving.”

As entrepreneurs, we lead teams. Leading teams can be challenging. They should share success and at the same time take responsibility for failure.

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, you will find yourself in a new great and wonderful world.”

0

From the trending campaign #shashiwasthere to the intriguing trailer which left every one hooked Anushka Sharma’s starrer Phillauri is creating a buzz among critics and movie buffs. The official trailer was released on 3rd Feb 2017 and it was like a breath of fresh air. It explores a completely different zone and is fresh and intriguing.  The film has Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Mirzada in the lead.  The movie is produced by anushka Sharma and her brother karnesh Sharma under the banner Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films. The movie is directed by Navdeep Singh and is written by sudip Sharma.  It is scheduled to hit theatres on 24th march 2017.

Trailer

As seen in the trailer the movie is set in Phillaur district of Punjab where Suraj Sharma is forced to marry a tree before he could marry his lover due to which he finds himself followed by a friendly ghost Shashi.  The atmosphere is all friendly and cheerful until Shashi is asked about her unfulfilled desires and wishes it is then that the movie goes in flash back and shows Anushka and her lover Diljit in fields of Punjab. The trailer has received positive reviews from the critics and is already getting appreciation from Bollywood’s big wigs like Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Twinkle Khanna, and many more as they were all praise for the quirky and captivating trailer.

Anushka’s second production

Anushka and Diljit Starter PhillauriThis movie also made Anushka’s hold on the film industry stronger. After NH10 this is her second project under her production banner and it shows that she is in no mood to settle as a conventional bollywood heroine who plays only secondary roles. She delivered a strong and powerful, a female lead movie NH10 and after playing a badass girl who took revenge of her husband’s murderer  the second project of her production house  Phillauri looks promising too.

Trend going viral

Anushka and Diljit Starter PhillauriIt also brings out her marketing tactics beautifully. The trend #shahsiwasthere has gone viral on twitter. Whether it was Shashi’s presence during Oscar goof up or during the song in Sholay or standing near Neil Armstrong when he reached the moon, it is not only promoting the film but also leaving people in splits.

Another Hollywood Copy

The movie’s trailer also showed uncanny similarity to the film corpse bride which was directed by Hollywood director Tim Burton in 2005. In phillauri suraj Sharma is forced to marry a tree which is a common practice in India following a superstitious belief due to which he is followed by a ghost. In corpse bride the protagonist turns cold feet before his marriage and flees to a jungle where he accidentally puts a ring on the tee and so a ghost appears who was murdered in her previous birth. Speculations were that tough it might not be an exact copy; it could have been inspired from the latter. However the trailer showed no other similarity and its promotions are going strong.
