Monsoon Skin care Tips

0

Monsoon is already there!!..

Vital time for skin care!!!

Boys n girls….here are some tips for you …

Skincare is a vital part dear!! No matter what! If you want to keep that beauty on your face, better listen to me 😉

Monsoon means rain rain and rain! And probably you think that your skin is the best at this time. Summer gives tans and we all know how pathetic it is! Winter withers our skin and makes us look far older. But darling, monsoon also harms the skin. Maybe you think your skin is all okay but it isn’t. So just listen to my tips and advice 😉

BOYSSSS I DIDN’T MISS YOU THIS TIME…HERE ARE SOME TIPS FOR YOU:

Bathe properly: I am sorry boys but here is the sad truth. You people skip that part and do not so that properly. Monsoon comes with dirt and germs and if you ignore it, you are  going to regret it soon. So always take a hot shower and use antiseptic. You can add it to the water and apply it directly. It will kill the germs and obviously keep you fresh..

Wear clean clothes: please , it is another request for you. I know boys don’t bother and go out without any umbrella. And horribly, they can spend a whole day wearing that! But you people don’t understand how much affected you are going to be. That is why boys fall sick during monsoon more than girls. Hygiene!! Duhhhh>> so wear clean and fresh clothes. Don’t wear same sock day after day!! Dude it smells like shit!!!

***Boys also need to moisturize their skin but maybe that harms their manhood. I will advice you to apply sunscreen and moisturizer. Now it depends on you only whether you are going to follow it or ignore it.***

Girlsss, I know you are going to listen to me 😉

Here are your tips about skincare:

Monsoon Skin care TipsBathe properly: it is the same for everyone. And for girls, it should be taken care of gently. I know about that awkward time of the month. And certainly monsoon is not our lucky time! During that time use hot baths and always keep antiseptic like dettol or savlon in your bathroom. Add it to a bucket full of water and apply it at the end. Use good quality soap because we don’t have the skin of the rhino!!!!

Clothing matters! : wear clean clothes, I would say at first. Clean undies every day and do not repeat. Prefer synthetic material this time because it can not harmed and the colour will be the same as always. Happy news right??….. it will also keep your skin okay and if you are rainsoaked by any chance, take my advice, always keep an extra set of cloth in your bag.

Moisturize your skin: after coming out of shower, moisturize your skin with any hydrating cream. It can me anything but mild. We feel that during this season we are hydrated but nooooooo…..we are wrong! That’s why maximum time our skin feels unhealthy! Monsoon doesn’t add healthy property to our skin. And cream shield also protects us from skin infection.

Clean face twice a day: another important part, cleaning your skin!! Cleanse, wash and scrub your face in the morning. It pulls out the dirt from your skin. And wash your face with before going to bed. Believe me, it does wonders J …you can use any facewash. Scrub should be mild, heavy scrub can harm your skin. Also do know about your skin type and buy the products properly.

Applying sunscreen is a must! : yes yes yes….maybe the sun is low this time but the UV rays are active always. So don’t forget to apply sunscreen before going out. Otherwise say goodbye to your healthy tone…sad na???? oilfree sunscreen is the best at these times….here are some sunscreens I refer..

You can find lakme and other herbal ones in stores.

Makeup: how can I skip this? We need it babe! More or less. But only one advice, use cream based makeup. Don’t use powdered products because it clogs the pores and this is not good for your skin.

That is all…..these are the basics you need to follow to maintain a good skin condition during this rainy season. If you are following these, ohooo! You are ready to go out and enjoy the season to the fullest …………

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

Being a humanities student in India , students and formers may know the complexities and subject biased feelings of choosing the streams before or after their boards.

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

Studying humanities and commerce other than that of science has always been an important and toughest struggling years in a student’s life in high school .

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

None other than our dearest families who would support us but in the same way they have their outrageous power of utterance of words which could highly demotivate us , as they often speak the negativities rather than encouraging them more.

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

Having this experience everyday is being  honoured and be in the legacy . The subject combination that I chose was :

  • English

  • Psychology instead of History/Geography
  • Sociology instead of Political Science
  • Mass Media instead of Multimedia
  • Home science  instead of MATHEMATICS ( yes , that’s not the cup of tea )
  • Painting instead of Vernaculars.

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

All the subjects were ‘ up to the mark ’ but choosing psychology instead of social sciences they said ‘ could posses a problem in future ’ . Naturally , the ‘ hearsay ’ alarmed my choices.  My situations were hopeless cause nobody in family knew the next steps ‘ what was to be done ’,  undoubtedly ‘ I had to Google it ’ , my father didn’t know what was to be done instead of cursing me and spending such serious brass , the outcome was nothing , he himself knew nothing of this field.

Intricacy of choosing Humanities subjects - psychology as the 2nd subject

  • I searched down my dream colleges in and around INDIA.  Other than Google , for that fractions of time I was clueless and blind.
  • The hearsay won’t help , I  started contacting colleges via emails .

Selfie: Enjoyment Or Addiction

0
Sisters making selfie. Two beautiful young woman making selfie and grimacing on the mobile phone

A selfie is a gesture that can send different messages to different individuals, communities and audiences. On 13 September 2002,the word “selfie” was first time used in Australian internal forum.

More than 200,000 photographs are uploaded to Facebook every minute. Many of these photographs are selfies: snapshots we capture of ourselves.

Why do we take so many selfies and why do we upload our selfies to online social networks like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat? To find out, psychologists from Germany and Poland tested the personalities of prolific selfie sharers.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE IMAGE

Selfie: Enjoyment Or AddictionDoctors say that Selfitis (selfie-addiction) is a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder to take one’s own pictures and post them on social media and broadly divided it into three types: Borderline (taking at least three pictures, but not posting them on social media), acute (taking at least three photos every day and posting them on social media) and chronic severe (taking at least six photos of oneself every day and posting them on social media).

FLIRTING WITH DANGER

Selfie: Enjoyment Or AddictionFor youngsters obsessed with self-clicks, the scary side of crazy fun has a thrill all its own. And courting danger has a whole different rush. “The higher I go, the more fun I have,” says an anonymous selfie-addict. He shares, “I can’t remember a time where I was ever afraid of heights. There’s so much adrenaline rushing through my body that I don’t fully realise what I’m doing. Sometimes I think back and say to myself, ‘What the hell was I thinking?’” He says that over the years he has used social media to shock, surprise and delight his friends and followers with aerial shots of the urban world. That means climbing rooftops and mountains and dangerous roads to get interesting snaps.

“Luckily, I get to travel a lot and that allows me to climb on several skyscrapers across the globe. While I am afraid that my parents would flip out if they got to know of craziest extents that I go to take pictures, I don’t think I can resist the urge to take a snap.” He says that sometimes he even surprises himself with how far he’s willing to go. He’s not afraid to tread narrow walkways and peer over the edge of some of the world’s tallest buildings for an extreme selfie.

There was this one incident when I was booked by the police and got arrested with three of my friends in an abandoned building and charged with criminal trespassing, mischief and what not. They confiscated my camera and my phone and I never got them back. But I won’t let that stop me from doing what I do,” he says.

KEEP IT FUN

Selfie: Enjoyment Or Addiction

Even it comes to taking selfies and posting them on social media, actor Gulshan Devaiah says that he is as guilty as anyone. But he says a selfie for a celebrity is not just a picture, it is his way for interacting and staying connected with his fans. About those who go overboard with selfies, the Hate Story actor says, “This constant need for attention and seeking validation from other people is a mental disorder.

Those who feel this urge to do radical things to get more likes and comments need psychological help. Being an actor, I completely understand that we all love attention but it’s detrimental if it occupies your mind all the time. The attention span a selfie gets you is very small and that’s why youngsters keep posting every few hours. It is here that it stops being fun and becomes dangerous. My suggestion to all those who love taking selfies is to not take likes and views seriously.”

There are paid internships as well as unpaid ones. You can do summer internships, winter internships or project works that roll throughout the year. In this post, I am going to discuss the internships in the science field. More specifically the sources where you can get everything you need to know about those internships.

I have compiled here a list of websites that update everything regarding the research internships in India and abroad too.

  • Researchx

This is undoubtedly the best source to find research internships in Science and Engineering. They mention coveted internships in other fields too like the ones from the ministry of external affairs or the RBI.

The site contains all the details about every internship you would want to know about. And they provide it in a clean interface with no unnecessary advertisements in between the lines.

They have assorted internships really well and have different sections for internships from IITs and Abroad. It’s a must to check this site if you are serious about getting a research internship. You can follow their Facebook page and subscribe to the mailing list for regular updates.

It’s not specifically for Internships but they do mention the internships and training opportunities in their “project internship” section. You will also spot job vacancies in the Science field on their website.

  • Biotechnology forums

This is a different kind of platform. Kind of peer reviewed. It’s started and maintained by a Biotech Scholar so it contains the information in its subtlety. Apart from the articles you can spot valuable information in the comments too.

The site contains various articles regarding career options and other matters of a student’s interest. Do check it out.

  • Eduinfo

This too is a good source. Apart from Internships, it contains the details about the Trainings and scholarships too.  It has a section for the competitions too. It all acts as the icing on the cake.

  • Internshala

Yeah, finally it’s internshala. It’s a bit difficult to spot research internships here but you can spot some really important ones if you keep checking it out. The best way is to set your preferences and subscribe to their list. They’ll keep you about the related opportunities.

So these were the major platforms that can aid you in your search for internships or trainings or even PhD Opportunities. I think you’ll never miss out on any internship opportunity if you keep checking these sources regularly.

Good luck.

Dr. Manmohan Singh – “Most Educated Prime Minister”

REUTERS/Molly Riley (UNITED STATES POLITICS BUSINESS)

Dr. Manmohan Singh, the 13 th Prime Minister of India, stands out as the most educated Prime Minister in the country’s history. Despite being labeled as “The Silent P.M.”, a term that simplifies his profound influence, Singh’s exceptional qualifications and accomplishments speak volumes. He is not only celebrated in India but also recognized globally as ‘the highest qualified prime minister‘.

Early Life and Academic Achievements

Born on September 26, 1932, in the small village of Gah in what is now Pakistan, Dr. Singh’s journey to academic excellence began with a doctorate in Economics from Oxford University. His academic prowess led him to prestigious roles within the Indian government, including Chief Economic Advisor, Governor of the Reserve Bank, and Head of the Planning Commission.

Pioneering Economic Reforms in India

Dr. Singh’s most notable contribution came during the 1991 economic crisis. Appointed as Finance Minister by then Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, Singh implemented structural reforms that liberalized India’s economy. These measures were instrumental in steering India out of the crisis and elevating Singh’s global reputation as a reform-minded economist.

Leadership and Political Career

Singh’s political journey is marked by significant milestones. He served as the Leader of the Opposition from 1998 to 2004, and his election as Prime Minister in 2004, a position he held until 2014, made him the second Indian Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to be re-elected after a full five-year term. Despite never winning a Lok Sabha seat, Singh’s leadership was underpinned by widespread faith and respect among the Indian populace.

Economic and Social Reforms

As Finance Minister, Dr. Singh dismantled the License Raj, which had been a major impediment to India’s economic growth. His policies spurred India to become the second fastest-growing major economy by 2009, achieving an unprecedented GDP growth rate of 9%. His tenure saw the replacement of the Sales Tax with Value Added Tax in 2005 and the launch of impactful initiatives like the National Rural Health Mission and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. He also played a key role in enacting significant legislation like the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and the Right to Information Act.

A Respected Global Statesman

Dr. Manmohan Singh – “Most Educated Prime Minister”

Internationally, Dr. Singh is regarded as one of the world’s most revered leaders. Publications like ‘The Independent’ and ‘Newsweek’ have praised his decency, integrity, and leadership skills. Figures like Henry Kissinger and Australian journalist Greg Sheridan have commended his vision and impact on Asian history. His global recognition includes awards like the World Statesman Award in 2010 and a place in the 2010 Forbes list of the world’s most powerful people.

Academic Honors and Recognition

Dr. Singh’s academic excellence has been recognized by various universities worldwide. He has received honorary degrees from esteemed institutions such as Panjab University, University of Alberta, Oxford, Cambridge, Benaras Hindu University, University of Madras, King Saud University, and Moscow State Institute of International Relations. The Dr. Manmohan Singh Scholarship at St. John’s College is a testament to his academic legacy.

Legacy and Reflection

Dr. Singh’s legacy is marked by his statement, “History will be kinder to me than the contemporary media and the opposition parties in Parliament.” His tenure as Prime Minister reshaped India’s economic landscape and solidified his position as a respected leader and visionary in global politics.

The Future of Construction

0

Industrial projects becoming bigger, budgets becoming tighter more, technology and innovation start to be introduced in today’s industries. The next big thing would be more focused on the trust from the coming generation who believes in these innovation technologies, trusts with enterprises and companies that they can join, that they will have a room and opportunities for them to flourish, as other industries then with and upon young talents. Now industries believe on thinking outside the box and give that trust for the coming generation that they are joining an industry diverse. Industries are willing to listen for their ideas and give them opportunities to implement these ideas and not just put it in shell because afraid of competition but to give them that hopefully room for innovation.

The Future of Construction

The next big thing is the digitalization of the built world we are agreeing to move from concrete based traditional building material into a combination of digitalization of experience of life style and also protection and respect of environment.

There are many hurdles in the future of construction there are technical hurdles, there are human hurdles, there are environmental hurdles. More than thinking about the constraints which will be defined by the availability of resources the state of art in design and construction techniques.

The future of construction mainly face an issue with the demographics the climate change and how you are going to make cities efficient in the future, how you are going to pack those resources in the best possible way. We are going to face different hurdles and perhaps our regulatory reduction in the use of space, the reduction in consumption of energy not just an optimization of efficiencies but a reduction overall of the resources that we consume in that industry. Life cycle will be changed probably will be much longer but of much better use of the aspects of life type. I also understand that some of the hurdles could be related to new urban planning rules as well as for the interaction of man and machine.

The Future of Construction(Image Source: )

Construction sites might look very different in the future, also because we might build outside of earth or we might something aquatic, I think the construction site will be a combination of techniques used today molecular self-assembly of materials and structures but also robots that can maintain self-assembly throughout the consumption of resources for the use of the space.

The role of humans will be to design for prosperity and happiness that’s what a building means in 50 years or so the future will be a complete redesign of what it means to interact with physical objects but also with another member of the human species. We are all parts of a big part of that reality, the design rules will be different perhaps we will have machines designing for us and optimizing our best habitat we might be living in a complete new reality with much less need for space or use of those resources, but they can also serve as cathedrals with places of knowledge of what human species has acquired and developed over the last 3000 years.

The Future of Construction(Image Source: https://redshift.autodesk.com/future-of-construction/ )

The players of the future will have to rethink of how they work together how they co-operate how they have common objectives to achieve their goals. It’s likely to be a combination of unusual suspects that today are not present in the engineering construction business because they are developing technologies that will only be used in 15 or 20 years from now. We could see that the emerging players are likely to come from the software industry, are likely to come from industries that today are marked on the circular economy and have a different understanding of what requires to co-operate and create a good environment. It’s also very likely that the traditional players will disappear and they are outdated they don’t have necessary intellectual properties and they lost the opportunity to create that space of sharing knowledge that under faster paced sectors have developed throughout the years.

Good and efficient construction has to be designed and built with the premises that our species is going to live for many generations with right attitude to preserve the environment. It’s likely to be much simple less choice of what you can design and built more regulated but also much more sustainable and much better fit for the environment and for coming generations to use that space.
