Rune Lazuli, also know as Humalien took to writing tiny tales to soothe her heart. She never knew she could struck the chords of thousands of people including Lady Gaga through her poetry. The Lebanese girl has been writing  ever since she could remember.

She decided to give words to her bewildered thoughts and has stolen 76.3k followers on her Instagram profile so far. Growing up, she was not very social, writing came naturally to Lazuli as she was keenly into reading. She started putting her conviction onto papers as a means to escape , as she was from a very strict household where doing much was not allowed . It was an extricating decision for her to start writing for herself. Little did she know she would be helping thousands of people through her optimism.

In an interview , Lazuli said :

“I was in school all day and got back home,” Rune Lazuli evokes. “I had posted something on Facebook, and someone commented, ‘I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but Lady Gaga reposted your work.’” She pumped herself up and excitingly searched through the Lady’s Instagram page, and there she found that— Her words posted for millions to see across the globe: “Crawl inside this body — find me where I am most ruined, love me there.”

“ I felt honoured. This woman, who has seen so much artwork in her life and is a phenomenal artist herself, posts my writing, I just felt honoured.” says the 25 years old Lazuli.

For her, writing is something that could have an impact  on people. Writing became a source of happiness for her when she saw it could provide solace to the millions of hearts out there searching for tranquillity. In her words: “Writing is how I’m going to have that impact. Being able to give that to somebody, even a second of relief and understanding, that saves me and makes me so happy. Nothing can bring me more happiness than to know that something that helps and heals me is helping and healing somebody else.”

Through her words, Lazuli pressed upon the minds of millions and helped them to find their peace of mind. Here are some of her quotes which may sweep your feet off :

In a tropical country like India we cannot imagine surviving without cotton. In 2017, indigo prints are the in thing. It is an ancient Japanese dyeing technique that uses indigo dyes to create prints and patterns on a cloth by tying, twisting, folding, and binding it in unique ways.

If you are not too fond of the color indigo then you can go for indigo scarves or dupattas. Traditional indigo prints have its own charm and when paired with a plain kurta and chunky silver jhumkas, it works wonders. Take a cue from this picture :

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

0

Rain can be romantic but for people who need to step out of the house, it can be pretty problematic. Water logged streets, mud and not to forget the moisture in the air – it does not sound like one’s ideal dream. Nonetheless, this is when you can embrace the dainty look or go bold with your style.

Anything full length should be tucked way behind your wardrobe right now. You definitely do not want a muddy hemline on your way to work or to college. This is the right time to wear shorts , hot pants and capris.

Denim is best avoided because it takes a long time to dry once wet. But if you feel most comfortable in denim go for the cotton mixed ones which are more light and easy to wash. You can try rugged shorts or capris with long over-sized shirts. Think Alia’s look in Dear Zindagi.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Cute printed shorts add the much needed spark during the gloomy monsoon. Choose floral or geometric print in bright colours. You can also try army print shorts with a solid colour tank top for a cool look.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Embrace checked or striped shorts to bring out your nerdy side and style it with geek glasses and a messy bun. Layered lace shorts and fringed shorts are the new in thing. Avoid sheer materials this season.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Short skirts with lot of volume always look great. If you have the figure for mini skirts then flaunt it wearing denim or cotton skirts with bright crop tops.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Off shoulders and cold shoulders are in vogue and you can accessorize them with ear cuffs or long sleek chains.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Calf length palazzos are a bold statement but look great if you pull it off with confidence. Try dark solid colours and avoid white as it is difficult to manage. Wear fitted tops and sport a ponytail.

Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Maxi dresses are a big no-no . Short dresses in all cuts and design look great. During monsoon avoid covered shoes like boots and sneakers in leather or canvas as they take forever to dry if wet.

Wear cute flip-flops in vibrant shades. Jelly shoes and semi-transparent ballerinas are ideal for the weather. Try different styles in braids like fishtail or French braid as open hair is difficult to manage due to excess moisture. Wear waterproof makeup to avoid looking like a mess. Keep it simple with tinted lip balm and kajal.

For formals pencil skirts are the best choice. It should be tailored properly. Pair it with proper fitted shirts in pastel shades and keep your hair neat in either a pony or a bun. Wear minimal makeup and accessories.
Tips for a Manageable monsoon

Carry colourful umbrellas and waterproof bags as they are real life savers. Manage the monsoon with might with these tips!

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

0

Cafe, A word that is pretty common to hear. We know every city has tons of cafes scattered around. It is probably a regular hangout place for many of us. But have you ever imagined how it would be if you could pay to experience an earthquake spilling drinks on your well-ironed clothes? Or if girls dressed as French Maids would offer spoon feeding you? Or else if you could enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee while being surrounded by a bunch of purring cats? Well, these intriguing questions summarize this whole blog!

Businesses are formulating all kinds of unique concepts to attract more customers. Good for us, isn’t it? This list has your not-so-cliché types of cafes you will find all around the world. Let’s dive into this list of weird and fascinating coffee houses!

Cosplay Cafes

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Bored of the same old waiters and waitresses? Commonly referred to as the maid cafes, these Cosplay cafes have been trending since their introduction in the 2000s. The wait staff’s apparels, food, decor and the overall layout of the shop is based on a theme or fantasy. The Cosplay cafes have many subcategories, the most popular being maid cafes. If you are an anime fan, there is a high chance that you have this in your to-visit list. Let’s focus on the maid cafes for now.

“Welcome home, master (mistress)!” A common practice in such a place is to treat the guests as masters and mistresses. Taking pictures inside the cafe or asking for the maid’s personal information is not allowed. The cafes cater to a vast range of services like massages or in some cases, even spoon-feeding and ear cleaning (extra money for all this though). They’ll let you take a picture with the maids, for a fee of course. Since the whole concept is revolving around the theme of cutesy, the food is also not an exception. The food, decorated with adorable designs, would probably bring a smile on many faces. Even though they have often been a synonym to cringe, Maid cafes are loved by a lot of people, evident by the fact that they are so popular.

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Cosplay Cafes have become so increasingly popular that they have expanded their idea overseas to places aside from Japan like Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, China, Australia and many more countries!

Animal Cafes

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Imagine a scenario; you want to buy yourself a feline companion. You walk into your new apartment, greeted by a grumpy old owner and the next thing you see is a sign. “Pets not allowed”

Sometimes due to such situations, or because of lack of space or even because of a busy schedule, people are unable to get themselves a furry companion. Animal cafes work like a healing concoction for these people and have become significantly popular all around the globe. First introduced in 1998, Taiwan, the concept became a huge hit when it entered the lanes of Tokyo. North America, Australia, Europe, you name any country, they will have at least one cat cafe. We even have one here in India.

Animal cafes are not just restricted to cats though. They include dog, bunny, bird, even goat, and snake cafes. Would you pet a snake if you had the chance? I’ll pass on that one.

There are also dog cafes that encourage you to bring your pet dog and enjoy a drink or two with it. Pretty classy!

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Not enough? Here are a few more!

Board games cafe

Nothing is better than a hot cup of coffee while watching your opponent struggle with his next chess move. Another popular type of cafe that lets you play as well as buy board games and you can devour your snacks alongside. You can choose from a huge library of games, take part in occasional tournaments, and a relief from boring evenings, at last!

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Sewing Cafe

If you enjoy sewing and want a little break, this Parisian cafe has got your back! A small cafe in France lets you rent a sewing machine and enjoy chatting or getting tips and tricks from other visitors. Tasty sweets, singers in the background, and clicking of sewing machines are certainly soothing to the ears.

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Disaster Cafe

To shake things up a bit, a cafe in Lloret de Mar, Spain, let’s you experience the thrill of a 7.8 earthquake while enjoying your favorite snack. Heavy plates are used to avoid food flying across the room. The weird thing is that you never know when the earthquake will strike. All you can do is patiently wait (or eat) till the incoming jump scare.

The placed seemed to have grown popular to such an extent that is started attracting tourists. Unfortunately, it has been permanently closed down.

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Mahika Mano

A cafe in Japan combines two most glorious things. Hammocks and coffee! This cafe has hammocks instead of chairs. Swing, relax and take a nap in this soothing little cafe. The laid-back and comforting atmosphere of this place adds to its charms!

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Ziferblat Cafe

What if I told you there’s a place where you can taste 43 types of coffee for free and pay only for the time you spent at that place? A chain of cafes know by the name Ziferblat, in the UK, offers Wi-Fi, board games, piano, cakes, coffees, literally everything just for 5 pence (4.20 Indian rupees) per minute. There is no minimum time limit, no VAT or service taxes. The friendly staff and beautiful infrastructure make it a totally praise-worthy concept! You could have a cup of coffee for just a few coins if you’re fast enough.

Bizarre yet Amazing cafes in the world

Well, the world is a unique place. And it’s just the cafes! There are many more interesting things out there. Would you like to visit one? Leave your thoughts in the comment section down below!

Forensics as your career in India

1
Forensics as your career in India

I doubt if we can find an Indian who has not seen or heard about “CID”. We all have been a fan of this show. Although I love that show I blame it for creating all the myths about forensics for Indians.

Here, by forensics people understand CID, by a career in forensics they imagine you as Dr. Saduke, dealing with corpses and assisted by a charming lady.

Today Forensics courses are blooming all over the country. We have courses in universities like BHU, DU as well as in the private ones.  Innumerous diploma, graduate and postgraduate courses have been developed.

Usually, students enter the forensics field by fate or due to the exaggerated coolness of the job shown by CID. I find students considering other career choices once they are hit by the reality of the Forensics. I guess the kids who grew up watching CID just can’t accept that their favorite show misled them.

Jokes apart, so what actually are the chances of making a great career in forensics in India? I’m going to try to make things clear for future aspirants.

Forensics as your career in IndiaThere are two kinds of ideologies regarding Forensics in India. Either people overestimate the career scope in Forensics or they think you’re not going to get anywhere in your life with forensics as a career.

So what is the truth?

Scope?

There are 7 Central Forensic Labs. A state level Lab in each state. And then there are Regional labs. Forensic Labs are to be constructed in each district. There are private labs. You are always free to join the teaching line. Future prospects are great in the field of Forensics. Anyone can think about the scope now. If Crime ends somewhere in future then forensic might end too. Forensics is going to be everywhere until then.

What will you work with?

The work in the lab might be disturbing for many. You have to deal with viscera, Visit crime scenes, See dead people and maybe witness postmortems too, you’ll have to work with evidence you would never want to touch. Along with all this, you’ll have to deal with the emotional aspects of the cases, chopping someone’s stomach or testing those blood stains when you know how the person died, it might get too much for people. So if you can’t deal with all this don’t dare to think about forensics. But if you think that you’ll do well after a few hiccups then read ahead.

Government or Private Sector?

Forensics mainly includes the government sector. You are going to work under the “Ministry of Home Affairs” when you work in a lab. You’ll be a part of the police.

In private sector, there are many labs. You can join the private labs till you wait for government vacancies.

Experience?

Now, this is an issue here. In forensics, the only post you get recruited without any experience is LAB Assistant. You are going to need an experience of lab work for each higher post. If you think that you’ll get placed right after BSc. Or MSc.  Then you’d be over expecting.

The recruitment rules vary with states but mostly you are going to need experience for applying for higher posts such as Scientific Assistant or Scientific Officer. Highest post for direct recruitment is the “Scientific Officer”. You are going to need at least 3 years’ experience to be eligible for that. So the Private Forensic labs might be of great help here.

Salary?

If you work in private sector, you will need pocket money from your parents. Simple!

But if you work in the Government Sector, Well, you’re in for treats then. You’ll be paid according to the seventh pay commission. Salaries are nice for all posts but they are the best for “scientific officer” and higher posts. You’ll be a Gazetted officer earning a handsome salary and you can boast the title of a “FORENSIC SCIENTIST”

Job Satisfaction?

Forensics helps the law. Neither police nor law can help people if there is no evidence. This is the reason more than 70% cases end up being closed. If you join forensics your work will affect the lives of so many people. You’ll be an important factor in giving justice to the victims. That’s pretty satisfactory.

Teaching?

Perks of being a lecturer or professor in Forensics are same as they are in any other subject. Private universities offer a handsome salary too. There are numerous universities coming up with the forensics courses. Two of them being especially for forensics, the Gujrat Forensic Science University, and another one is to be constructed in Banaras.

I hope I have provided an overview to help you guys decide if you want to plunge in this field.

If you don’t mind working with dead nasty stuff and don’t faint on seeing blood you might want to consider it a career for you.

Importance of Resume

0
Curriculum Vitae Resume Job Application Concept

I find it quite a hustle for sure. Making a resume is a huge task itself. I have to put all my academic records and professional records in it (professional can be skipped if you are a freshman or have no past experience).

When you apply for a new job, resume is like the identity card. One can easily judge you by going through it. And FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE LAST IMPRESSION .

Nobody can deny this. And to catch attention, one needs to make a good resume. Whatever you do, never look down upon it.

Basically there are two kinds of resume. Chronological and functional resume.

Chronological resume is for experienced workers. They provide their past experience in a particular job. Their increments and other information attached to it is provided there. So basically it is not for a freshman.

Functional resume is for freshmen only. Those who are graduate or pursuing any degree at the moment, can apply to several jobs to test their ability in different fields  and also change their taste. Sometimes it’s testing their luck too. Well this is an era of unemployment though…!

Now let us come to the point why this is needed while applying for jobs and other carrier fields…

It is easily understandable that resume is taken from each and every applicant and it depends upon you how you represent it in front of a particular.

personal details: an employee has less time to research on yourself. So he goes through the resume and builds an idea about you and note it, 60% chances are there that you are going to be selected depending on this.

Contact details: please, it is highly requested to give your contact information correctly in a resume. In case you got selected but you have mistaken in filling up the forms and skipped the contact part, poor fellow, maybe its not your time! You just missed the chance. Because companies don’t keep spies to take out your address and phone number and moreover there are 100 more like you waiting outside to take that place.

Education: it is important to put your level of education properly. In case you are seeking a job in IT sector but you completely forgot to give your college degree and in the resume you have only given school details, back off dear, the company is going to suspend you for a lifetime. You have to count for this your whole life. A good educational resume catches the attention easily.

Past career details: if you have past work experience in anything, don’t forget to put it in your resume. It brings value to it. Obviously it will separate you from a freshman and you will have higher chance to get the job. Whatever job or work you have done, don’t skip it.

Skills: another important part is showing your skills in different fields in a resume. You should include a brief summary about it. So an employer can easily track your field and understand what you can do.

Be truthful  about your resume. You can easily understand how important it is to get a job. The potential employer will go through your resume before going through your face! Fraud in resume is completely illegal and if this is found out lately, you are sure going to be expelled from that job. Do not overdo your resume. Keep it cool and concise and presentable.

Most often I find  Students struggling for templates of resume and cover letters. To make your work easy I am adding resume and Cover letter downloads.

Digital Nomads

0
Nomad

“I would travel the world, but it’s my work commitments that chain me down to this monotonous living.”

Unfortunately, several people who wait to travel the world, never actually do. They have given up their adventurous dreams because of their 9 to 5 work routines. After all, how can you travel without a penny in your pocket? A high paid job requires you to work yourself dry with fewer holidays and rushed travel expeditions. But all of this has significantly changed with the ever trending topic of Digital Nomads.

Digital Nomads

As the name suggests, digital nomads are people who travel the world without a permanent home while working remotely through the means of internet. Thereupon, their flow of income is not interrupted.

Many websites and companies are supporting digital nomads by providing budget-friendly lodging places, internet connection, and working conditions. Jobs that fall under the category of ‘work from home’ like freelancing, corporate remote working or start-up business, are the preferred work choices. As long as you have your laptop, a stable internet connection, and the required skills, working while traveling is not a Herculean task. You can work while relaxing in a hammock, sitting among the locals or enjoying snacks in a cafe.

The life of a Nomad is quite an adventure. These birds of passage flock from country to country, living the life of a constant wanderer. Nomads expand their social circles, create countless memorable stories, observe unique lifestyles from all around the globe and of course, food. Ordinarily, such globetrotters seek fun in even the little things they do. They tend to stay in a place for about 3 to 5 months, drowning them in the flavor of the surroundings, before moving on. Once satisfied, they are ready to take a leap of faith into their next ocean of thrill.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? But it isn’t all unicorns and rainbows.

Such a lifestyle might not be a perfect cup of tea for every individual. Moreover, it can prove to be an unpleasant experience for some. The feeling of loneliness is inevitable. You might stop feeling the ‘thrill’ of traveling when you get used to it, sooner or later. Insurance, getting local SIM cards, working in places with an unsteady network, missing out precious moments at home, Digital Nomad lifestyle has its own set of drawbacks. In case they get attached to a particular place, moving on can be a hard thing. It takes a lot of dedication and sacrifice to be successful.

Digital NomadsLocation Independent lifestyle has often been considered a ‘phase’ in the life of enthusiastic Millennials. It can be short-lived for people that start longing for stability and a desire to settle down. Only passionate and dedicated travelers pursue a long-term nomadic way of living.

Traveling can be an eye-opener. The more you travel, the more you learn. Once you experience the diversified cultures all around the globe, you will discover a different side to yourself.  It is certainly a bittersweet experience. However, all of it depends on one’s way of perceiving it.

Be it Corporate offices, Courts, Individuals, Lawyers have to play a great and important role in every field. Providing justice and helping the judiciary in improvising their ideas in order to help the citizens is the main agenda here. There are so many different colleges and universities which provide L.L.B courses all over the country. To be precise, there are 17 National Law universities (NLUs) in India and hundreds of other private institutions which are renowned at their own levels.

In order to get into one of the NLUs, you need to appear for the computer- based national level exam called Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).The total number of seats provided are 2,342 in UG courses and 350 for LLM courses.Admission is done if your marks matches the cut- off marks released individually by all the colleges. These colleges provides a five-year integrated course after 12th and three years course after graduation as well. Moreover , admission procedure for other universities and colleges differ based on their preferences, be it their entrance exams or your 12th mark sheet.

In general ,you would need your basic documents to fill the forms and take the examination. Registration is mostly done online. These documents required would be your photograph ,signature, DOB proof, category , domicile certificate and 12th mark sheet if applying for UG course and scanned copy of qualifying exam for the proof of L.L.B. or any other equivalent degree mark sheet  and certificate for passing candidate for PG course.

After law, you would be getting career options like:

Judiciary , Associate in law firms, Legal advisor in different offices, Legal Practitioner or Advocate, Writer , Teaching, Assistance Prosecution Officer, and many more .

Some skills are developed to practice the profession competently. They include :
