It’s not specifically for Internships but they do mention the internships and training opportunities in their “project internship” section. You will also spot job vacancies in the Science field on their website.

  • Biotechnology forums

This is a different kind of platform. Kind of peer reviewed. It’s started and maintained by a Biotech Scholar so it contains the information in its subtlety. Apart from the articles you can spot valuable information in the comments too.

The site contains various articles regarding career options and other matters of a student’s interest. Do check it out.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, the 13 th Prime Minister of India, stands out as the most educated Prime Minister in the country’s history. Despite being labeled as “The Silent P.M.”, a term that simplifies his profound influence, Singh’s exceptional qualifications and accomplishments speak volumes. He is not only celebrated in India but also recognized globally as ‘the highest qualified prime minister‘.

Early Life and Academic Achievements

Born on September 26, 1932, in the small village of Gah in what is now Pakistan, Dr. Singh’s journey to academic excellence began with a doctorate in Economics from Oxford University. His academic prowess led him to prestigious roles within the Indian government, including Chief Economic Advisor, Governor of the Reserve Bank, and Head of the Planning Commission.

Pioneering Economic Reforms in India

Dr. Singh’s most notable contribution came during the 1991 economic crisis. Appointed as Finance Minister by then Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, Singh implemented structural reforms that liberalized India’s economy. These measures were instrumental in steering India out of the crisis and elevating Singh’s global reputation as a reform-minded economist.

Leadership and Political Career

Singh’s political journey is marked by significant milestones. He served as the Leader of the Opposition from 1998 to 2004, and his election as Prime Minister in 2004, a position he held until 2014, made him the second Indian Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to be re-elected after a full five-year term. Despite never winning a Lok Sabha seat, Singh’s leadership was underpinned by widespread faith and respect among the Indian populace.

Economic and Social Reforms

As Finance Minister, Dr. Singh dismantled the License Raj, which had been a major impediment to India’s economic growth. His policies spurred India to become the second fastest-growing major economy by 2009, achieving an unprecedented GDP growth rate of 9%. His tenure saw the replacement of the Sales Tax with Value Added Tax in 2005 and the launch of impactful initiatives like the National Rural Health Mission and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. He also played a key role in enacting significant legislation like the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and the Right to Information Act.

A Respected Global Statesman

Dr. Manmohan Singh – “Most Educated Prime Minister”

Internationally, Dr. Singh is regarded as one of the world’s most revered leaders. Publications like ‘The Independent’ and ‘Newsweek’ have praised his decency, integrity, and leadership skills. Figures like Henry Kissinger and Australian journalist Greg Sheridan have commended his vision and impact on Asian history. His global recognition includes awards like the World Statesman Award in 2010 and a place in the 2010 Forbes list of the world’s most powerful people.

Academic Honors and Recognition

Dr. Singh’s academic excellence has been recognized by various universities worldwide. He has received honorary degrees from esteemed institutions such as Panjab University, University of Alberta, Oxford, Cambridge, Benaras Hindu University, University of Madras, King Saud University, and Moscow State Institute of International Relations. The Dr. Manmohan Singh Scholarship at St. John’s College is a testament to his academic legacy.

Legacy and Reflection

Dr. Singh’s legacy is marked by his statement, “History will be kinder to me than the contemporary media and the opposition parties in Parliament.” His tenure as Prime Minister reshaped India’s economic landscape and solidified his position as a respected leader and visionary in global politics.

The Future of Construction

0

Industrial projects becoming bigger, budgets becoming tighter more, technology and innovation start to be introduced in today’s industries. The next big thing would be more focused on the trust from the coming generation who believes in these innovation technologies, trusts with enterprises and companies that they can join, that they will have a room and opportunities for them to flourish, as other industries then with and upon young talents. Now industries believe on thinking outside the box and give that trust for the coming generation that they are joining an industry diverse. Industries are willing to listen for their ideas and give them opportunities to implement these ideas and not just put it in shell because afraid of competition but to give them that hopefully room for innovation.

The Future of Construction

The next big thing is the digitalization of the built world we are agreeing to move from concrete based traditional building material into a combination of digitalization of experience of life style and also protection and respect of environment.

There are many hurdles in the future of construction there are technical hurdles, there are human hurdles, there are environmental hurdles. More than thinking about the constraints which will be defined by the availability of resources the state of art in design and construction techniques.

The future of construction mainly face an issue with the demographics the climate change and how you are going to make cities efficient in the future, how you are going to pack those resources in the best possible way. We are going to face different hurdles and perhaps our regulatory reduction in the use of space, the reduction in consumption of energy not just an optimization of efficiencies but a reduction overall of the resources that we consume in that industry. Life cycle will be changed probably will be much longer but of much better use of the aspects of life type. I also understand that some of the hurdles could be related to new urban planning rules as well as for the interaction of man and machine.

The Future of Construction(Image Source: )

Construction sites might look very different in the future, also because we might build outside of earth or we might something aquatic, I think the construction site will be a combination of techniques used today molecular self-assembly of materials and structures but also robots that can maintain self-assembly throughout the consumption of resources for the use of the space.

The role of humans will be to design for prosperity and happiness that’s what a building means in 50 years or so the future will be a complete redesign of what it means to interact with physical objects but also with another member of the human species. We are all parts of a big part of that reality, the design rules will be different perhaps we will have machines designing for us and optimizing our best habitat we might be living in a complete new reality with much less need for space or use of those resources, but they can also serve as cathedrals with places of knowledge of what human species has acquired and developed over the last 3000 years.

The Future of Construction(Image Source: https://redshift.autodesk.com/future-of-construction/ )

The players of the future will have to rethink of how they work together how they co-operate how they have common objectives to achieve their goals. It’s likely to be a combination of unusual suspects that today are not present in the engineering construction business because they are developing technologies that will only be used in 15 or 20 years from now. We could see that the emerging players are likely to come from the software industry, are likely to come from industries that today are marked on the circular economy and have a different understanding of what requires to co-operate and create a good environment. It’s also very likely that the traditional players will disappear and they are outdated they don’t have necessary intellectual properties and they lost the opportunity to create that space of sharing knowledge that under faster paced sectors have developed throughout the years.

Good and efficient construction has to be designed and built with the premises that our species is going to live for many generations with right attitude to preserve the environment. It’s likely to be much simple less choice of what you can design and built more regulated but also much more sustainable and much better fit for the environment and for coming generations to use that space.

Gender Stereotype

0

Hello society. How have you been? How’s the moil of judging the young peer going on? You have taught us a lot so far. But, today, i want you to stay a little off as we , the breed of this century, are here to parley our sketches.

Gender Stereotype

So, boys I am not here to talk about feminism today. I just heard somewhere that the society has  put the burden of masculinity upon you and taught you not to cry as it makes you a loser.Well, trust me , it does not. It never does. Let it out and breathe a bit because we are not here to judge you. We are here to ameliorate. I refuse to agree with this old fraternity on some of their conjectures. First of all, there is nothing like ‘ crying like a girl’ . There’s only one thing and that is ‘ letting the shit out of you ‘. You want to cry ? We’re here to listen. You want to crib? we’re here to pamper.

Gender Stereotype

Secondly, you are not the only ones who are entitled to hold the door or pull the chair . Thank you for making us feel spesh. But, boys, we can do it for you too. Did it sound funny to you? Yes, maybe because you have always known these gestures to be effectuated by you only. This is where your theory impugn from mine. You will have to square with me on this- you deserve to be heard .

I was like 5 or 6 when i was so sure of this thing that boys are meant to be strong and girls fragile. I never questioned the rule of genders back then. As, for me, boys were those unassasilable life forms girls couldn’t be juxtaposed with. For me, boys were so prerogative and savage  who could do whatever they want. But growing up teaches you a lot. Yes, i grew up to be a Feminist, not the ‘we-deserve-a-separate-coach-for-us’ kind but the ‘speak-up-even-against-women-when-they-are-wrong‘ kind. Yes boys, you heard it right. That is the Gospel of Feminism. We are not surpassing the stature ; we are commensurating it.

Gender Stereotype

My boys, you can be strong AND sensitive . You CAN cook as well. This makes us equal;not the impostor notion of being a GUY or a GIRL. Before everything, we are humans. Our vaginas or your penises don’t make us disparate. The mingy conviction from the society’s nanoscopic idea of gender roles does. You being a male or a female doesn’t define you. Nor does your car or your bank account .YOU define yourself. And we love to see you in your sheer unadulterated form.

Admit guilt when the ball game demands. It won’t make you less of a man but discernible. Be the kind we could reach to when needed . Be the one who could reach us when needed. Be YOU. And let us be what we actually are. We don’t want to mess up with nature.

HOW TRAVELLING THE WORLD CHANGES YOU

0
HAPPY TRAVELLING
It Leaves you speechless, then turns you into story teller.

Social media and the Internet make the world feel smaller. You can connect with friends from all over the world through these mediums and feel like you are there in the place where they live. When you travel, you realize the world is BIG, and there is a lot to explore.

There is no greater feeling than having your bags packed and knowing you’re ready to go on your next adventure. There are few things in life that will impact you as much as traveling will. Something happens to us when we board a plane in one country and land in another—it’s almost as if our eyes open again for the first time. The excitement and life experiences that happen when you travel are unlike anything else. It’s hard to capture in words the moment when you see the sunset behind the Colosseum in Rome or when you finally can understand what someone is saying in another language. These moments are trans formative; they take us out of our element and remind us of why we are here.

EFFECTS ON PERSONALITY

HOW TRAVELLING THE WORLD CHANGES YOU
alone tourist in high mountain

When you start traveling for a while, you end up meeting a lot of people. It’s something that you can’t even help. It will just happen naturally, and if you didn’t enjoy it before, it will surely be something that will start to put a smile on your face when you meet a new person and discover what their journey is. You can learn so much from others from different cultures. You just have to open your eyes and let the world take its course. It can be quite intriguing to see how someone the exact same age as you lives their life in comparison to yours. It will also make you become more open to new experiences. The world is your oyster. Go out and learn something new. Make a cool new friend, and see what you can find on your journey. There is so much left to discover.

A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE

Each culture has its own set of values, and the most direct way to get to know what they are is to observe how people interact (and you really can’t escape that).

This makes you more aware of the culture you came from, and you stop taking things for granted. This can make you appreciate your roots more than you used to, but it can also make you question your culture’s ways and perhaps improve them, at least in your micro environment.

In any case, you’re able to put things into perspective, and that’s something you can’t get if you stay in your hometown your entire life.

DEVELOP CLOSER RELATIONSHIP

From speaking another language to getting around, you have no choice than to be hyper-aware of what’s going on around you.

That concept of mindfulness you’ve been trying to apply to your life – travelling leaves you no other option. You get more perceptive, your brain works stronger and faster, and, as no daydreaming is allowed, you simply have to live in the moment.

THE CHANCES OF FALLING IN LOVE INCREASE! DRAMATICALLY

In this new surrounding you’re completely removed from your reality. No usual worries and responsibilities, and you’re totally allowed to reinvent yourself.

You’re relaxed, so life seems better, so you’re more open and more likely to give a chance to someone you’re hiking, exploring beaches and new cuisines with.

Outside of your comfort zone, falling in love is such a common occurrence.

WHY SHOULD YOU TRAVEL THE WORLD

There are some reasons which helps you to identify that how the life changes with travelling:

Travelling helps you learn who you are.

All the challenges and opportunities travel lays at your feet help you discover who you are in a way that’s only possible on the road.

Travel is literally food for thought.

You’ll be constantly surprised at the flavors the world has to offer.  The way people in other cultures and countries prepare food, and break bread together (not that all cultures even eat bread) will astound you.

Travel gives you a sense of accomplishment

If you’re the kind of person that dreams big, you’re probably one to reach for new challenges. Finishing a trip gives you the satisfaction that you were able make a goal to travel and  accomplish what you set out to do–see the world.

Travel is education

Seeing the world provides an education that’s absolutely impossible get in school. Travel teaches you economy, politics, history, geography, and sociology in an intense, hands-on way no class will.

Travel helps you move forward

If you’re between jobs, schools, kids, or relationships, around the world travel can be a perfect way to move from one of these life stages into your next great adventure.

Through the modern era is very much famous for science and technology, still Travelling is a vital source of information exchange. When some people are going to other place, they are exchanging their feelings and information. Thus, a mutual co-operation is created by travelling.

LAUGHTER: BETTER THAN A MASSAGE

0

What common human activity relaxes tense muscles, reduces blood pressure and heart rate,  exercises the muscles of the face,  diaphragm and abdomen,  boosts the immune system,  and causes the body to release pain-fighting hormones?

The answer: laughter.  Sound impressive?

And those just the physical benefits. Laughter also helps you get some emotional distance from a distressing situation and see the humor in it.

  • Researchers have shown that laughter increases relaxation.  Muscle tension remains low for up to 45 minutes after a session of vigorous laughter. Real belly laughter Can relax the muscles more than a vigorous massage.
  • If you haven’t exercised your humor muscles lately you may benefit from these tips on getting them in shape:
  • Find things that make you laugh and do them.  See a funny movie,  read a funny book memorize a joke and tell it to friends.
  • The next time you’re in a  distressing situation, mentally put yourself in the shoes of your favorite comedian. Humor depends on being able to see the humor where others see only aggravation.  It’s the difference between tragedy and comedy.
  • Allow a feeling of playfulness to creep into your life.  Let your mind be open to silly and uncensored thoughts.  What if everyone came to work wearing Groucho Marx glasses and a fake moustache?
  • Amuse yourself by indulging in humorous exaggeration.  Stuck in traffic?  Think of cobwebs forming your car and the next, continental drift passing you by, snails overtaking you on the shoulder.
  • Share cartoons, jokes and other funny material at work. Put cartoons up on the bulletin board.  By helping others reduce stress you make your own job easier. And people will just be more relaxed around you if they know you have a sense of humor.
  • Get in the habit of laughing at life’s contradictions.  You can bet your Groucho Marx glasses you’ll never run out of material.
  • Finally,  practice laughing are yourself.  You just can’t help becoming more accepting of your own shortcomings, and that’s sure-fire stress-buster.

 Keep it light

People will feel safe and comfortable around you if they know you can laugh-but not if you laugh at them.  Humor that is cruel or sarcastic breeds a negative attitude in both the humorist and the audience.  Stay on the light side.  Life is funny enough without resorting  to vicious humor

Laughter’s Effects on the Body

In the last few decades, researchers have studied laughter’s effects on the body and turned up some potentially interesting information on how it affects us:

Blood flow. Researchers at the University of Maryland studied the effects on blood vessels when people were shown either comedies or dramas. After the screening, the blood vessels of the group who watched the comedy behaved normally — expanding and contracting easily. But the blood vessels in people who watched the drama tended to tense up, restricting blood flow.

Immune response. Increased stress is associated with decreased immune system response, says Pro vine. Some studies have shown that the ability to use humor may raise the level of infection-fighting antibodies in the body and boost the levels of immune cells, as well.

Blood sugar levels. One study of 19 people with diabetes looked at the effects of laughter on blood sugar levels. After eating, the group attended a tedious lecture. On the next day, the group ate the same meal and then watched a comedy. After the comedy, the group had lower blood sugar levels than they did after the lecture.

Relaxation and sleep. The focus on the benefits of laughter really began with Normal Cousin’s memoir, Anatomy of an Illness. Cousins, who was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a painful spine condition, found that a diet of comedies, like Marx Brothers films and episodes of Candid Camera, helped him feel better. He said that ten minutes of laughter allowed him two hours of pain-free sleep.
