Overcome Exam Mania

0
EXAM

Exam is a word which brings goose bumps to any student. Exam itself is a word full of tremor. Its commencement brings with it a lot of new diseases in students and many more excuses to run away from it.

It is believed that in the beginning exams were made to test students knowledge and their level of understanding to a certain context. But now exams are a mere rat race to prove to the society that you are better than the rest of the crowd.

Being a student I can completely relate to the pressure and the feeling of   being isolated from the rest of the society as you have that big tremor “EXAM” coming your way.

Now a day the word exam is very synonymous to competition. And it all starts right from when we are born. Our first competitors being our very own siblings or our parents friends children.  Over here the exam refers to who will start walking first or doing those crazy stuff or more importantly who will pronounce those difficult words first. And bribing the child with a little gift to do that correctly starts very early.

When the child starts with his studies then he is surrounded by like aged toddlers who have high expectations on their back. Parents wish their child top in the class and in all the extracurricular stuffs that happen in the school. Their child’s report card becomes their status symbol. This entire thing ends up leaving a great impact in the mind of a child.

Overcome Exam ManiaWhen the school is still going on then comes a big mountain for them to climb the class tenth boards’ exam which is considered as a big speed breaker to the life of all the students. It is considered as the ultimate quality check for a student as it is the biggest exam they will be appearing in their life until now. Their outdoor activities, hanging out with friends, and all the stupid stuffs according to their parents and generous teachers is stopped. They are debarred from all fun activities. Just they know is their parents expectations which is on their shoulders. They are left in complete isolation without any entertainment to concentrate on their damn studies. They are told things like – it’s gonna decide your future, just this big exam after that no big stuff coming your way and so on and so forth.

When the child is done with this big rock like tenth boards then they have another things lined up for their future the career choosing time the 11-12. In our country we have to choose in between science, commerce, and humanities. A science student is considered as the intelligent mind while the humanities one is the one who could not make to the other two streams so he is always looked up with a pity. But that’s not the brutal truth behind the fact. It’s the child’s interest in a subject more than the other but who could tell this to our orthodox believers of old run facts. More than the child’s interest in s subject their parents and fore fathers wish outweighs their decision.

Then come the great two years of a child’s life the great 11th and 12th. Damn man how fast these two years pass by. Seriously we could not figure out where we actually spent the time. Our life becomes so monotonous repeating he same stuff throughout the year – school, tuitions, self study and our life ends there. No involvement in any family events or society event. We are boycotted from all the events as if we have committed a big crime by coming in these two years of our life. These two years are considered as the pave setters or our career making years of our life.

After the completion of these two great years of our life we feel free like a bird. Thinking that the great monster exam has left our side and taken shelter somewhere else. But our happiness is short lived as this devil waits for us even at the university level. After the university it hangs on with us until we finally are able to bang a job by giving lot many exams. And in our job career also we get to face this evil a lot many times, sometimes to get a promotion and sometimes to rescue our job.

So this evil monster exam stays with us the entire life. It leaves a great impact on our life and leaves us ruthless the entire life. We fell pathetic for ourselves and for all the rest who go through these traumas every now and then. We can not do away with these exams but can surely do away with the meaningless rat race. We can be sensible enough to treat this  very healthily and have a lot to learn and deliver rather than just to study for the marks point of view.

So let us all be sensible enough to not fear from this hulk like exam monster but beat it with all our knowledge by facing it with aa lot of courage and not kneeling down in front of it. Deal with it patiently and always remember that exams are not end of the life they are just a small speed breakers which will pass away easily. So give exams with all happiness without fear and it will pass away very easily.

All the very best for your exams if they are on its way!!!!!

Unwinding Demonetization

de

The outcry about the recent demonetization drive has captured the emotion and imagination of a vast nation like India to the extent that from the ultra rich to the lagging poor, everyone is taking great interests in trying to understand the effects, implications and intentions behind the relatively bold economic move from the reigning government.

Let’s try to unwind the air around it layer by layer.

Demonetization, as a concept of economics means withdrawing the previously used and legal tenders from the market. It is a pretty simple definition with a pretty deep effect. Everyone with even a slightest of knowledge about Economics knows that the flow of money, liquidity plays a pretty driving role in regulating the health and pace of the economy. Thus it is clear that when we try to regulate this flow by external measures then it would have certain implications on the economy as well.

Demonetization in our country has been publicized as a measure to counter illegally hoarded ‘Black Money’ and counterfeit currency tenders floating in the market. The promise to weed out illegal money from the market has been able to gather the attention of everyone regardless of the social or financial status. While this does seems like a lucrative thing but many of the renowned economists have raised concerns regarding the intensity of the measures taken in this regard.

Pros of Demonetization:

demonetisation

  • Unavailability of cash as a measure of transaction can drive the people towards the more cash void means of transaction helping in creating the modern age cashless economy.
  • Use of electronic means will increase sharply because of the cash crunch that might end up enhancing the pace of the digitalization in the economy.
  • More and more people will try to have bank account in order to deposit their money, hence financial inclusion.
  • Because the traders will opt to electronic transactions, the backtracking for the sake of tax collection would be really easy.
  • As valid IDs are compulsory for any transactions hereof, the people without IDs will strive towards attaining IDs helping in financial planning and evaluation.
  • Having removed the old notes, new improved notes could be introduced into the system thus improving security against threats of counterfeits.
  • This drive can be a sort of morale accelerant for those who are willing to improve the existing ill placed system in the country.

The above stated points are few of the most obvious reasons in favor of the step taken by the government and can be seen as the justifications for such a huge step by the government.

Cons of Demonetization:bank-crowd

  • With more than 300 million citizens not having a valid ID card, it is quite impractical to relay a scheme that requires IDs for fulfillment.
  • Reducing cash flow so abruptly has the ability to decapitate the whole economic transaction setup.
  • The number of old currency notes which have become obsolete by this order is so large that the sheer decomposition of these will pose a grave problem.
  • The banking system is having a splurge of cash intake which would render them incapable of generating revenue which could lead to grave after effects on the whole system.
  • When a person with honest earnings has to queue in order to withdraw his own money, it is not even close to being ethical.
  • The decision has been taken without the proper channels of legislature and this type of political behavior can’t be encouraged in a democracy.
  • The level of discomfort this step has brought to the general public is just incalculable.

It can be very easily understood from the above points that all is not green in this arena. The proper evaluation of the situation in the wake of the facts is really essential in understanding the whole scenario.

Any government measures in order to counter the illegal practices are to be welcomed from the side of any aware citizen. But it is equally important for the authorities to understand that showing disregard to the public ease and taking whimsical measures without proper consultation and scrutiny is not a very good way to handle a democracy based nation.

This is indeed a tough time for Indians and as the history speaks out loud, we come stronger through high tides; same will be the case this time as well.

This is Gangtok’s local Tibetan Buddhist monastery. A monastery I find unique and different to the famous of Sikkim. Most of the tourists travel to Gangtok for the Sikkim mountain views. Views which we failed to find in September. If you plan for snapping Kangchenjunga’s snowy peaks comes between October and June. There was no snow during yours visit but a whole lot of cloud (perfect for the clouds lover). We did take the few excursions. Rumtek monastery and Pal Zurmang monastery during a local tours of Sikkim. The extensive tour was to Changu Lake (need permits in advance) where the drive was in fact more exciting; controlled the landslides and unique local life amongst the highlights. Another tour was an overnight stay at the Temi Tea Gardens and also the tea factory tour. If you plan this tour then it is a best to stay on site at the Cherry Resort.

Kamal Hassan as Nostradamus in Indian Cinema

0
kamal hassan

Well, the name “Nostradamus” strikes an analogy to the term “prediction”. The latest one buzzing in today’s circles is the fact that he predicted India to be under the best of times under the reign of the most powerful leader ever the nation would come across from 2014-2026. The masses claim to him having predicted the emergence of the rule of Narendra Modi and the current demonetization scenario is a perfect evidence of the nation’s flourishment on an optimistic scale. Such foresight are done by people in various categories. And when it comes to Indian Cinema, there is one such personality, who, through his films, has given a futuristic insight to the viewers, over the impending happenings in our country. And he is none other than, Padma Bhushan Dr.Kamal Hassan. Let’s take a look over the films via which he made some unbelievable predictions.

1) Sigappu Rojakkal:

1-3This cult classic of 1978, directed by the renowned director Bharathiraja.P. This film brought in the womanizer concept into the cinema scope and Kamal Hassan portrayed the lead role of a womanizer. That film became notable for being the first of its kind, released at a time where dramatic films were well received by people around. One year later post the film’s release, a psychopath killer named “Psycho Raman” (in pic), was arrested by the police for the brutal assault of many innocent women!

2) Sathya:

3-1

This film was released in 1988, and was directed by Suresh Krissna, who later went on to give the super hit Rajnikanth starrer “Basha”. This film was produced by Kamal Hassan and he himself stared in the lead role. This story revolved around an unemployed youngster, and the consequences he faces owing to his unemployment. Exactly, a year after the film’s release, during the years 1989-90, unemployment became the prime problem faced in our nation!

3) Thevar Magan

4-1 A film which bagged five National Awards upon its release, in 1992, Thevar Magan was directed by one of the most acclaimed directors of Mollywood, Bharathan and had the script and the production done by Kamal Hassan.

The film had a star cast comprising the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal Hassan, Revathi, Gautami portraying the lead roles. The film focussed upon the clashes among various communities in the society. In 1993, southern districts suffered by severe issues owing to the communal clashes!

4) Mahanadhi

5One of the most brutal, tragic films of all-time, Mahanadhi, released in 1994, was directed by Santhana Bharathi and was penned and produced by Kamal Hassan and he himself played the lead in this film. This film is depicted as one of the saddest films to the core by the critics. In this film, the hero gets cheated by a finance company and incurs heavy losses and the story revolves around the further consequences in the lead’s life. In 1996, several people in our country were fooled by the finance companies in many parts across our country!

5) Hey Ram

6  Hey Ram was released in the year 2000, and is one of the longest films in terms of its run length duration. The film lasted up for 4 hours approximately, and was directed, written and produced by Kamal Hassan.

This film had a star cast with lead actors from Bollywood such as Sharukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Hema Malini being roped in for the project. This film had a complex storyline and the story projected the religious riots, such as the Hindu-Muslim clashes. In 2002, the Godhra riot in Gujarat happened!

6) Anbe Sivam

7Anbe Sivam was one of the controversial films ever made as it focussed upon atheism. It didn’t have a director or a producer constantly helming the project. And Kamal Hassan himself undertook all behind the camera responsibilities. The film, released in 2003, bombed at the BO but went on to garner rave critical reviews and became one of the highest rated films at IMDB. The film has a scene of a flood hitting and ruining people’s lives and Kamal Hassan used the term “Tsunami” in the movie. Many people weren’t aware of such term until then. And in 2004, ‘tsunami’ stuck on the east coast and costed huge number of lives!

7) Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu

8Vettaiyaadu Villaiyadu is a cop story released in the year 2006. This project was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and portrayed Kamal Hassan in the lead role. The film showcased two characters named Amudhan and Ilamaran, who were psychopath killers, by virtue of their characterisation.

And exactly post three months of the film’s release, the NOIDA serial killing incident came into limelight and the psychopath killers were Moninder Singh Pandher and Sathish(in pic), two of them as in the film!!

8) Dasavathaaram

10Dasavathaaram was a record-making film, released in 2008, features Kamal Hassan, for the first time, in 10 roles, the most by any actor in a single film. And guess what, the film predicted over the vulnerable arise of EBOLA virus! The film revolves around a scientist trying to get a bio weapon he had designed, from not reaching anybody else’s hands, so that it doesn’t spread out and kill numerous people. The film showcased the virus to be an air- borne one and in one scene, Kamal Hassan reveals the virus is a combination of EBOLA-Marburg!! Little did he know that in 2014, that virus would be the major concern all over the world!

Thus, the Nostradamus of Indian Cinema has shot eight down precisely, awaiting to see what he shoots out to the masses in his upcoming flicks like Vishwaroopam 2, Marudhanayagam etc.

Tom Cruise brings ‘The Mummy’ to life

tom cruise mummy film

Tom Cruise, the guy who has never failed to blow our minds is once again all set to take us on a thrilling tour of the mysterious realms of the ancient world with his new movie “The Mummy”. The trailer of the movie, which is a reboot of The Mummy franchise, has just hit the web. Scheduled to be released in June, 2017 the “The Mummy” is also the first installment of the Universal Monster Series, which just like DC and Marvel is going to be an interconnected cinematic universe with a number of reboots of the original series of horror, thriller and science fiction movies made by Universal Studious during the first half of the 20th century. The first Mummy movie was released in 1932, almost 85 years ago. Technology has moved light years ahead since then, so this reboot ride facilitated by the high end CGI techniques is going to be legendary.

Plot of the Movie

The trailer did not give away much though. But the plot goes like this: a group of military personnel go to someplace where they should not go and they set free an ancient evil named Ahamanet (Sofia Boutella), and Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) has to save the world from this Mummy threat. The appearance of Ahmanet is kind of terrifying. In the trailer Tom Cruise’s character can be heard saying “I saw her (he must be talking about Ahmanet), she is real.” Sofia Boutella played Jaylah in “Star Trek Beyond” (2016). Russel Crowe’s presence surely adds extra excitement to the anticipation that’s already started growing. Crowe is playing the role of Dr Henry Jekill.

star cast

mummy“The Mommy” is directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by Jon Spihts. The movie also stars Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Cartney B Vance. A new trailer is expected to be released very soon.

Towards a Perfect Nation

“Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit, where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action into that heaven of freedom, My Father, let my Country awake.” -Rabindranath Tagore

Beginning from the base- NO country can be a Utopian nation, no country is immaculate and without faults but to make a country perfect, one can definitely endeavor to execute it, to improve it. Considering India’s present scenario with the demographic build up of the nation, the level of freedom that the Indian constitution has provided to its citizens proves to be one of the best working models of a successful democracy. Yet, it has a number of blemishes engendered from the cradle and it is not impossible to eradicate these impediments to make our Nation the best place to be. “Dust is only removed when one becomes a part of it.” Most of the issues are linked with each other. For instance, one of the ubiquitously disturbing obstacles which is undoubtedly prevalent all around the world but most talked about in India is corruption.

Towards a Perfect Nation
OpenClipart-Vectors / Pixabay

Corruption, according to Google, is the dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery. Someone once very accurately stated, ‘Corruption begins in the mind.’ One pervasive solution to any and every problem is ‘change the mindset.’ Altering our thinking can definitely help eradicate such issues. Yet, this (changing mindsets) is something which cannot possibly happen overnight and cannot be achieved merely by stating it. What changes the heart and mind is spirituality and this is something which would mean ‘religion’ to a lot of people. I would want to point out here that religion cannot be touched. Spirituality is the non-materialistic approach to any sort of problem. It is an integral part of Education where you train your mind with careful emphasis on inculcating higher values which is precisely called ‘value-based education’. This is where we learn what is right and what is not, whether you ask a person for something you want or you steal it. A spiritual perspective makes one evaluate actions in terms of their results- a major factor in having a sense of responsibility. And thus we see how corruption is a phenomenon of the materialistic lot of the society whereas spirituality is of an evolved society and we realize the significance of being educated which is the solution to a lot number of burning issues in the current scenario. Another issue that has become inevitable is Poverty. While we consider the progressive literacy rate in India, it is 74% of the total population that is literate and aids in the economic development of the country. Yet, there is room for value based education to them and the remaining 26% of the illiterate lot. Another serious barrier here is that females in India are not provided with Education and other amenities because they were born females. This preposterous yet alarming issue has been expunged from a number of places in India yet is rampant even today. Thus, arise the quandaries that women go through here. Beginning from those that have been engendered by our ancestors and are still practiced today- Dowry. Dowry is the amount of property or money brought by a bride to her husband on their marriage. The system has been so fostered by our predecessors that it is a ritual for the marrying woman and her family to give something to the bridegroom in return for nothing. Nobody questions these unreasonable practices but just follows them because everybody else is blindly a part of it. Nobody questions their parents as to why the brother is considered superior to the sister.

The patriarchal society procreates a bias against females and the dowry system is the reason stated for female infanticide that too has become embedded within Indian culture. In this, the female child is deliberately murdered brutally before even taking birth into the world or thrown away/burnt after being born just because she is a female. According to women’s rights activist Donna Fernandes, “some practices are so deeply embedded within Indian culture it is almost impossible to do away with them. India is undergoing a type of ‘female genocide’.” Even if the subject isin’t willing to be a part of such abhorrent customs (read: crimes), our society makes sure they are a part of it. Education, again, is the only key which can make a society realize that it is erroneous to commit such offences and it is how the victims get courage to raise their voice against it. Likewise, rape or sexual assault is one of the most barbaric and inhumane crimes which is initiated by one or more people against the person’s consent.

India has been delineated as one of the “countries with the lowest per capita rates of rape”. One perspective that I personally have here is that fear of punishment needs to be instilled in the minds of Indians. Until there is proper punishment for those who commit such brutal crimes, nobody will be afraid to perpetrate an immoral action. Is it not because of the delay in legal proceedings that make criminals feel that they will not be convicted in their lifetime? The law is required to be strict for the wrong-doers like that in Saudi Arabia where the punishment for rape, or for that matter any other crime like murder, drug trafficking, robbery, and apostasy is public beheading or in China where the rapists are killed by firing a bullet at their spinal cord and castration or Egypt where they are hanged until death. Also in other countries like North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, Greece, the assailant is punished with incarceration. All of the above problems actually exist because India lacks Gender quality.

Towards a Perfect Nation
smokefish / Pixabay

Women are still not given the due respect because of orthodox, uneducated people that are present around us. “Every drop counts to make the ocean,” why can’t YOU question people around you? And why not defeat them with logic and reason? Keeping this aside, we have the population issues. India is the second most populated country in the world with a whooping 1.25 billion people after China. Even though China is ahead us in this regard, the government there has awakened to lessen the number by creating strict laws permitting only one child per family. Even if not one child, our constitution can be strict enough to incorporate laws proscribing more than two children per family. This will avoid the families in rudimentary areas giving birth to a dozen children just because they want a male child.

We need to keep in mind that change begins only when YOU decide to change yourself. The steps are small but only when we begin initiating them will we ever able to make our Nation near perfect.

When The Sun Talks

0
beautiful sun rise wide

The sun asked me a question that I could not answer,
He said “Why in the night lays awake the dancer”?
Even though he is awake under my light,
But why your mates are amazed by him dancing at night?
He asked me why my eyes don’t cry on love in the day?
Why in the dark are the thoughts always astray.
Why does the dog howl at the moon?
Why Doesn’t he consider my warm self a boon?
Why doesn’t the butterfly shut her wings,
Why only in my light does it need to smell the lings.
Why is it that loved ones are hated in the day.
But the love for the hated later starts to fray?
Why in the night those dreams have to follow,
even though everyone’s awake it still seems hollow.
Speaking of dreams why don’t they visit when I’m there ?
I won’t push them away or scare them with my glare.
The stars twinkle and the moon shines bright,
But I am too warm and my shines just a light.
Why? asked the sun, do they still love the moon?
Even though his face seems to be ruptured by a goon.

When it rains in my time why do they close the doors?
and when the night’s with droplets, why are they standing on the roads.
so eagerly they wait for my sunset and dawn,
and then they stare the moon all night long.
and when I stand still in the skies and don’t bother them
I am cursed and they say I am too troublesome.
but when the shiny moon with his grey ambiance is stalking,
they stare him back and don’t curse his talking.
“Can’t they”? said the sun just close their eyes.
I’ll hush my light and dim my blue skies
I’ll let everyone sleep
If they just tried,
Maybe then they will love me like the night.

Tips for Better Management of Your Stress

1
stress

Now, I’m stressed out! One will only choose to say these words when they have lost all hopes, only when one is completely broken.

What is stress?

The major cause of stress is the release of stress hormones in the body. When we are anxious, worried or nervous, our body fights it by releasing stress hormones along with adrenaline and cortisol.

Symptoms of stress

  1. Sudden increase in sweating
  2. Depression
  3. Feel exhausted
  4. Severe headaches
  5. Insomnia
  6. Chest pains
  7. Increase in heart rate
  8. Shaking with nervousness

Stress busters

  • Burn up the dance floor!

Dancing, one of the best stress busters. Just shut the door, play the song you love to dance on, increase the volume and dance like crazy! Dance the way you want as no one is watching you.

  • Listen to music

We all have those few songs that can make us forget everything we are worried about. Listening to our favorite music can help us escape stress.

  • Bring a pet home

We all love pets and to play with them. Everything becomes more lively and energetic with them. They are cute and caring and being with them one can reduce stress up to a great extent.

  • Sleep for a while

I know, taking rest or sleeping can be pretty tough at a tense situation but it is important as giving rest to your brain is very necessary at that time.

  • Talk about it

Talk about your problem to someone who is really close to you and knows you quite well. Sharing your feelings and problems with them will always help you out and maybe they find a solution to your problem.

  • A good cry

Stopping your tears will do you no good in a situation like this. A good cry is really helpful as you are letting go of your emotions that are hidden inside you.

  • Distract yourself

Do anything that you feel like doing the very moment. Don’t think, just do it! Anything that can help you distract yourself from the tension and stress.

  • Physical exercise

Indulge in any exercise or sports that you like or have an interest in. Sports and games can reduce stress in an immense way.

If even after trying the above methods stress still continues immediately visit a doctor to seek professional help. The doctors won’t suggest any medicines unless the person’s situation is critical.

People usually have to face situations in daily life which can cause stress but it depends on us how do we fight it and move on.

Must read Life lesson

0
Life Lesson

Believe me this life that we get is worth living, a precious gift given to us. But these days we are living no less than animals.  We have degraded ourselves and the quality of our lives. We are merely living and going with the flow. World is literally bleeding. It seems like a there is going on a never ending competition of greed. Everyone is condemning the acts of others , this disease of judging people is spreading like hell.” It is like sinners judging sinners for sinning differently.  ” I firmly believe very little in needed to make life peaceful it all depends upon the way you think. You know ultimately its not the years in your life that count its the life in those years. We realy need to understand the worth of this incredible life and the worth of ways from which we can turn our lives into a bliss.

The way Out

11-13-53-inspirational-quotes-picturesFirst of all we all need to stop accusing life for its problems and struggles. These struggles shape us, turn us into someone very special. Let me tell all death is no fun and its not easy. Please stop believing in any shitt that you see or hear in movies. Make your own decisions. First follow all these life rules and then decide the best for yourself. Life is a dream if you can be wise, the most vital factor to stay happiest is mind your own business, i mean is that difficult , no , not at all. See you are responsible for yourself no one else cares, so stop expecting and judging unnecessarily , it creates  fuss. Its us who complicates the suitations and then its us only who believes in blame game. Trust me its not going to take you anywhere. If You keep doing this shitt then get it straight its a dead end for you. So in order to achieve and rise you need to compell your butts to work , and it is not that easy because they are addicted to luxury. But remember everything worthwhile in life takes hard work. You are the only controlling factor for your life and only you have the capability to make it shine. All you need to do is to learn and grow.

The survivor

11-13-33-inspirational-life-quotesA person who has the zeal to turn all the odds in his favour will taste the glory. See if you want to get the first position you need to become odd. I mean what is the desperate need to judge others, see of you dont like something or someone , then yes you can express your views as quoted by some people that being in a democratic country we are free to do so. But no democracy gives you any right to disrespect someone’s efforts or whatsoever. If you are not pleased move on. Stop giving so much importance to yourself.
