Simple ways to make you better Person

Simple ways to make you better Person

Are you a good person ? If some one ask you this question, the answer to this question would almost be a ‘Yes’. What if same question to your friend. Do you think he also given you a ‘Yes’. A persons nature depends on the way he behaves in different situations. Irrespective of any situations in order to become a better person you need to have few qualities.

Try Something New and Repeat

Curiosity is the mother of Invention. Be curious to try new things in life. Your quest to become a better person is to accomplish a new task evert time. Never restrict yourself. Try out of the box. Try something new, something crazy and something funny. Basically, If you want you to live a little the one thing we forget to do in life is live. And you don’t want to miss out on it. Spend a couple of moments with a friend or loved one, who knows they don’t have much time left, and you’ll realize there is so much you want to have done when your time comes. The last thing any of us needs when we die is a heap of regrets over what might have been.

Acceptance

A human’s capacity for intolerance and hate is probably the weirdest and most useless quality. If you can name a thing, you can probably find someone who definitely hates it. But has hate ever really served you well in life? Being hateful and angry all the time is not going to benefit you at all. In fact there is an evidence that it’s physically harmful. Accept the truth, understand people. The best thing you can do for yourself to be better; to be more well-liked; and, as it happens, to be healthier, is just roll with shit. Roll with it. Just imagine if all or even any of the racists in the world took the time to ask themselves what the big deal is and then just stopped everything. Wouldn’t everything be just so much more peaceful for everyone? More relaxing?

Prepare to say Yes

Maybe this is my own personal handicap, but I can get in negative ruts sometimes that manifest themselves powerfully through the word no. No matter what the situation is people tend to have a ready answer ‘No’. Why would I ever do that? Why would you do? Sometimes saying no is a product of wallowing in one’s own misery. It really involves a fundamental change in how you approach the life. You say no to so many things, because you want to. At this point you ask yourself things like What is harm in saying yes? or What has saying no ever got me? It’s not what you say yes to that matters, what matters is that you let go of the habit of don’t want to change things. That makes you dynamic and flexible and an assorted other words.

Learn

What is the best way to be better? Learn better. “The only true wisdom is to know that you knew nothing. This means more or less you will never know everything, and being aware that you don’t know everything is a good thing. Start from a position of realizing you know jack, and that leaves a lot of room to learn new stuff in your life. That makes you a wiser, more-rounded person, and that’s alright. While most of us can’t wait to get the out of school and start a sweet life. While school wants you to learn terrible things like how to make change with an abacus. There’s no downside to learning, unless you’re just looking into more efficient ways to dispose. Face it, learning is aces. Go learn.

Offer A Helping Hand To The Helpless and Make Them Happy

Offer A Helping Hand To The Helpless and Make Them Happy

Nowadays because of all the rush what people forget to do mostly is stop and look. We are always in such a hurry and such a rush that even if someone screams for help we probably ignore and walk away, and it’s not because we are bad people but because we are so involved in ourselves that we forget to think about others. Not knowing that a little helping hand can change a lot.

Especially when it comes to strays. Stray dogs and cats who have nobody to fall back upon, who shiver on the streets during cold winter nights and who mostly roam about hungry on the streets are mostly always ignored. Just because they cannot speak and cannot express the fact that they are hungry or that they are cold or that they are hurting does not mean that they deserve to be ignored, it is these poor beings that need the most helping hands.

street01

How can we possibly help these creatures? If this is the question which you need to ask then it isn’t such a big problem to know exactly what to do and when to do it. Day after day these strays are tortured and killed, it is very hard to understand that why a kennel bred and pure breed dog is loved and cared for when strays are just left on the streets to fend for themselves.

Little things like offering them food twice a day, one does not even need to feed the strays of the whole town, just doing your own little part, feeding the one which cries in front of your house is enough, you will see how that creature jumps and wags his/her tail every time he/she sees you after you have showed them that gentle gesture. And that tail wag which you know that you have resulted into will bring the biggest smile on your face as well.

Other than that if you want to be really generous you can always make sure that when the stray has babies they are safe. Society has a bad habit shooing away these stray babies and worse even killing them off, prevent that stand up for them, they cannot speak they need your help.

Making sure that they are not freezing during the cold winter season is also something that is very doable. One does not even need to do much, just providing them with cardboard boxes which are anyways uselessly lying here and there in your house is enough, it keeps them off the cold streets and even though in a very small way but does help in keeping them warm.

So one can see that offering a helping hand does not necessarily have to be a very tough job, small helps like these also help to make a huge difference in one’s life.

Knowing English Does Not Make You A Good Writer.

Knowing English Does Not Make You A Good Writer.

Does knowing or not knowing English really affect your writing skills? I mean yes the English language does add certain credibility in your life but is that all that one needs to become a good writer? Or is there something more which is also needed?

writing

English is an universal language. Knowing it helps you get heard throughout the world, but in honest opinion writing needs much more than just English. Just English or knowing English will not make one a good writer, it will although give him/her a head start but to become a good writer one needs much more than just English.

  • The knack of being a writer:

Anybody and everybody cannot become a writer, you cannot just go to a football player and ask him/her to write you a story. Thus, the interest or the knack of writing has to be present in a person that is the very first step to becoming a writer, not anyone and everyone who writes is a writer.

452830868_0f1406ba87_b

  • Imagination:

Being a writer obviously requires a lot of imagination. Portraying beautiful scenes and drawing amazing pictures in one’s mind just by using words, is not an easy work. First those pictures need to be created in the writer’s head and then only can he/she put them into words in a way that will wow the world.

  • Creativity:

Very similar to imagination, creativity actually deals with how exactly you present your work. How you present your prose or poetry or script, how you start it, whether the title the gripping enough, whether that first paragraph is good enough to capture everybody’s attention, whether the plot is a good one, whether you’ve been able to put it into words properly, whether at the end there is a twist, all these things fall under creativity. Writing these days cannot be bland and monotonous. It needs to be upbeat, intense and relatable for the audience to actually like it, thus just knowing English will not be enough.

  • A good hold over the language:

It does not matter in which language you are writing your piece it can be English, Japanese, French and so on but a good hold over the language is very important, just knowing the language will never be enough to make you a writer, to describe what you are feeling and describing it the right way will be possible only of you have a good hold over the language.

So to conclude it is fair to say that just knowing English will not suffice, the above qualities are also important and very much needed to make somebody a good writer.

Why Are We Unable To Quit Facebook?

Why Are We Unable To Quit Facebook?

Social media has taken over our individual lives. There’s no point in denying this, it has. Be it instagram, facebook, twitter, tumblr, YouTube, and so on, it is our everything. The ways through which we show off ourselves. Everything is on the internet these days, from first day at college stories to heart breaks, from complicated relationships to the pain of losing someone dear. Everything and everyone is on social media nowadays. But what is so special about social media these days that makes it so hard to even think about quitting it?

facebook

Facebook is not only one of the oldest but also the most popular social networking site. The story of how Facebook came to be is now known by all after the infamous and very successful movie The Social Network, where the story of Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of our favourite social site, was portrayed. But what makes facebook so incredibly irresistible that the thought of staying off it is something that never crosses our minds, that it gave the very old site Orkut a tough competition.

Few of the most common reasons are:

  • Facebook connects people from all over the world : There have been instances when you have gotten friend requests from this person who you never even spoke to in school, but then facebook gives you the opportunity. That crush whom you could never talk face to face, facebook helps you to talk to him virtually so that you’re more comfortable, friends who’ve moved to different countries can be communicated through this.

socialmedia

  • Other than that facebook also helps in finding old friends or family members whom you once knew but then lost contact. That best friend from the 5th grade or that boy you had a crush on from elementary school, everyone and anyone is on facebook and thus if you know their name finding them is really not that difficult.

  • The attention which one gets via facebook is also something which makes it really really addictive. The number of likes on a picture makes you want to post more and more pictures, the attention you get from friends, or even random strangers is something a few people bask in and thus being on facebook becomes a must for them.

facebook

  • Facebook also provides a good stage for all kinds of advertisements and news. If you are in urgent need of something a simple facebook status is all it needs to attract everyone’s attention to you or maybe you are starting a business and need buyers and customers a simple page on facebook and the word spreads like fire.

Thus facebook is really much more than just a social networking site and probably that is why it is not possible to get enough of facebook.

Children’s Fashion: A Booming Industry

Children’s Fashion: A Booming Industry

Look closely all around your society or the place where you live in and what will you find? Amazingly dressed children upon whom their parents take pride. Children’s fashion is something that has become a very popular thing only recently. There used to be a time in the past when children’s fashion was not paid much importance. But nowadays due to social media and friendly celebrities who share the picture of their beautiful children online the scene has become different.

kids fashion

Celebs like David Beckham, Kim Kardashian are all over their young ones and are very proud of them. They dress them in all the possible brands and they come out looking like a dream, thus it is only normal for every mother out there to want the same for her kid, and why should they not want so when th eir kids are as beautiful, thus the introduction of this one thing called Children’s fashion. While there used to be a time when children used to be in just nappies and a t-shirt nowadays they wear everything.

From jeans to shorts to skirts to dresses to tunics to gowns everything, yes, everything out there is being made in kid sizes, these clothes are not only cute to look at but also so amazingly pretty that for a moment you will sit and wonder why are all grown up now. Children are being dressed in these beautiful clothes and they are not only made to walk the streets but also the ramp. Yes, children’s fashion has facilitated children’s fashion shows which at one point used to be only for adults. A lot of rules are bending as we can see.

kids dressing

Children’s fashion has also given way to the bloom of a lot of industries and online sites which only specialise in children’s clothing. It is obvious that people will choose to go to shops with only clothes of kids over a shop which only has a section for kids clothing, and thus this industry has been in full bloom over the last few years and is making its mark all around the world. Some of these shops have become household brand names for many and are as popular as any other branded fashion shop out there.

child fashion

At the end of the day it is very important to remember that your child is still a small child, so do not forget to make him/her look cute instead of bold. With such an array of clothes and shops to choose them from it is mighty easy to forget that. Remember that the happiness of your child will always come first.

A Healthy Balance Between Work and Home.

0
A Healthy Balance Between Work and Home.

Work is very important, work is the basis of who you are, work deserves all your time and dedication and all your efforts. It is these very sentences and words which nowadays control the mind of mankind so much that they forget that there is this other very important thing called a home which contains their loved ones which they need to pay attention to as well.

work and home balancing

The home is where the heart is. This is a very famous saying, but hardly followed by anyone nowadays. Work is important, work bring you money and money results in you enjoying life, but what life will you enjoy alone? Will you not need your beautiful family and loved ones along with you to enjoy? Of course you will.

A healthy balance between work and home is something which is immensely important. Let’s just face the fact that whether it is our home or whether it be work neither can be avoided, both hold equal amounts of importance in our lives and play important roles. They are literally the two sides of the same coin. Work gives one identity and financial security and family provides one with love and emotional security.

healthybalancing

But nowadays family time is something which is being overtly sacrificed for work time. People have made work their first priority, the pressure and tension of being the best employee is making them a bad family man/woman. Their kids miss them, their better halves miss them, their mental sanity misses them too, but these days work is said to be everything. When at the end of the day a person is coming back home he knows that he will be going back home to his family, and for some reason the returning home comes to be considered and family time and thus no extra effort is put to spend some real time with family.

Effects of such a life on human beings:

  • One cannot always concentrate on work, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” another famous English idiom which people seem to have forgotten as the days have passed.
  • A good working life may lead to a very luxurious life no doubt but then who will you share that luxurious life with if you do not pay heed to your family?
  • Too much work is also the reason for the loss of peace of mind, which in turn our family gives back to us, but if you avoid your family life your home then that is the one thing you will have to live without as well.
  • It is very important that you do not bring your work or your frustration from work home, family time should be only for family and work should not interfere or mess it up.

People do not understand the worth of something until it gets taken away from them. It is when we lose everything we have we be aware why it’s important to balance our life and work.

Is the presence of microplastics in the water ultimately a macro problem for mankind?

0
Is the presence of microplastics in the water ultimately a macro problem for mankind?

Let’s start by knowing what exactly we are dealing with here, microplastics. Microplastics are small plastic particles in the environment that are generally between the size of 1-5mm, so it is sort of a given that they cannot be seen via the naked eye.

watercontamination

They come from a variety of sources like cosmetic, clothing, coastal tourism industry, shipping industry etc. There are basically two kinds of microplastics, Primary and Secondary. Primary microplastics are the ones that come from the result of human use of certain material and secondary microplastics are the ones that come from the breakdown of bigger plastics like polythene bags.

Even though microplastics do not sound like much of a problem they generally become a problem when these tiny, invisible to the naked eye, particles seep in to the water bodies, and not just the local pools and ponds but oceans and seas and exist in the aquatic and marine eco systems.

2

As we all know by now, the plastics take their own sweet time to break down, the reason why they are so much more harmful than any other element is because the rate at which they break down is much slower than the others, so imagine if there were plastic particles inside of us, it would be really hard to determine when exactly they would actually break down and naturally pass through the digestive system.

Reasons why microplastics are harmful:

  • The fact that they take days and weeks to break down are undoubtedly one of the reasons, as because these microplastics which have already seeped into the marine ecosystems have probably been incorporated into many organisms’ bodies through the various ways of ingestion and respiration. But this swallowed plastic takes 14 days to pass their system and thus within those 14 days if that organism is eaten by a bigger predator then the plastic automatically gets transferred to the body of that bigger predator which might not be such a good thing.

  • Seeing the above point it is pretty obvious to where that point was leading, from small organisms to big predators from big predators to bigger fishes and finally from fishes to a species of mammals we all know very well, yes, humans

  • Fish is the primary source of protein almost everywhere around the world, for animals and humans alike thus one fifth of the fish eating human population have been found with microplastics in their digestive tracts.

  • Microplastics do more than just exist in the bodies of human beings, they have the ability to do some serious physical blockage or damage of feeding appendages or digestive tract and can also cause indigestion which will ultimately lead to problems in the digestive system.

Fashion Tips for Chubby Women

Fashion Tips for Chubby Women

Fashion is for all, it is not only for those who walk the ramp, not for those who are rich and definitely not only for the skinny people. Fashion is something that should be and mostly is enjoyed by all, but there are these certain groups of women who find it a little troublesome to take their beautiful selves down the street and own it. And these are the women who the world calls chubby or fat.

They are mostly scared of their body image and afraid of the fact that all clothes do not look good on them, so why not jot down a few fashion tips which these women can follow:

Basic fashion tips for chubby women:

  • Colour and cuts of the clothes: Colour and cuts of the clothes you wear are more important than you think. Dark colours will make you look slimmer than light colours, and horizontal stripes have a habit of enhancing what is not needed to be enhanced. So, go for vertical or diagonal stripes. Ruffles to be put only where you want everyone’s attention to be and clot a lot of fabric in the area you want to look small.

For example dresses with ruffles below the waist line will give you a princess like look and also take the focus off your belly to your feet.

    fashiontips

  • Wearing fitted undergarments: This is one fashion tip which is not taken up seriously by many. What’s on the inside really matters ladies, so it does not matter if you are wearing a very pretty and beautifully fitted dress on the outside if you wear flimsy and unfitted underwear you will end up feeling uncomfortable for the most part.
    properundergarment

  • Find textures that flatter your bottom half: Tailored skirts and pants, avoid pencil skirts and flared pants and any other shapeless garment. This tip is basically for the people with pear shaped body shape, they usually have a heavier lower half and thus it is important that their lower half does not sag in any way.Fitted and dark coloured bottoms are a better choice for pear shaped individuals.

  • Dress to flatter your upper half: For women who have an apple shaped body shape it is very important to flatter their upper bodies as well. If you are wearing skinny bottoms wear something loose on top (this fashion tip can be taken up by one and all actually) wearing both things tight will only make you look more bloated up and uncomfortable.
    style

  • Accessorize well: Chunky jewellery and large hand bags, make them your best friends, because a large handbag makes you look smaller as they do not look small and weird beside you. Boots are also a plus they make your calves look slimmer.

But at the end of the day what is important is to be confident in yourself and in your body. Everything else is just there to add to that beautiful confidence of yours.

Face the Problem

0
Face the Problem

No one in this world born without problems. Humans at every stage has problems, challenges, goals. We need to face the problem rather than going away from it. If you run away with it follows you when you start moving towards it, you gain confidence to solve it. When you consider a problem as a expense you try to avoid it, accept it as a challenge, deal with it, struggle with it, live with it, at the end it treats you with success and Joy.

Problems has the power to bring down you confidence, force you to bend before it. Don’t expect an easy win rather than struggle to win it. A life with problems and challenges is a gift. Don’t expect a road to be clear and easy rather expect a rough and tough road so that when you reach the end of the road you have experience which brings courage, confidence in turn leads to success.

33

Eagles teach the best lesson in our lives. They throw their children from high cliff. Children think that mother eagle is too harsh on them but in turn they learn to fly, fly high. Dare to accept a problem. A true person always accepts challenges.

Success is not defined by what you accomplish but the failure you have faced, the struggle you have felt and the undetermined strength in you to faces all odds to keep the fight on. Success introduces you to the world but failure introduces world to you. When it comes easy it’s not success. Greater success in life never come easy.

30

Do not be fooled by someone’s success. Behind the glory there is always a long road that contains records undetermined effort and sacrifice. Sweat and exhaustion. There’s no shortcut to a success. If you are fascinated by the convenience provided by your success then you can forget the necessity to strive for it. There was no price discount for a success. There is a great price to pay to achieve this success.

34

  • Start with small things. Grow, learn, perform but do not stop.
  • Only hardwork cannot bring you success but a blend mixture strength, sharpness, thought process, sacrifice, patience and tenderness. If you break the bow and arrow efflux has been leveled, it could still shoot. Aim with your entire heart. All the action you like a boomerang that will come back to you. When you throw it well, he’ll be back in your catch
  • Success is not always built on their own efforts. Tucked behind all the achievements of sacrifice others

Personality of the week: Steve Jobs

1
Personality of the week: Steve Jobs

There are people who go with the flow of life but there are other people who tend to move against the flow and define history. One among those is Steve Jobs. He is the co-founder and CEO of Apple Inc. He is also the CEO and the largest stake holder of Pixar Animation Studios. Let’s look some interesting things of Job’s life.

20

  • Steve’s biological fathers name is Abdulfattah Jandali. He has a restaurant and a casino owner in Reno, Nevada.
  • His biological mother was Joanne Schieble. She was an American. His father, however, objected to the marriage so Steve was put up for adoption. His adoptive parents were Clara and Paul Jobs.
  • Steve actually later described this as the most important things in his life and believed that unless someone understood his counter cultural roots they wouldn’t understand his way of thinking.
  • In 1974 Steve traveled to India with his roommate to visit Neem Karoli Baba, a Hindu guru. Upon arrival though, they discovered that the guru had passed away earlier that year. Steve ended up traveling the country for seven months, after that he returned to US with a shaved head and traditional Indian clothes.
  • While his journey through the India he was influenced heavily by the religion even to the point of having his marriage presided over by Kobun Chino, a Buddhist monk.
  • Steve married to Laurene in Yosemite national park. She was an MBA graduate of Stanford and was appointed by President Barack Obama to be a member of the White House Council for Community Solutions due to her active involvement in the non-profit community.
  • Steve never actually made his views on charity clear and it is certainly indisputable that he made an impact on the world.
  • Steve didn’t give to charity so he must have hoarded it all. Not Steve. Since 1998 he has received 1 dollar every year from Apple.
  • According to a friend from Reed College Steve had a brief fling with the folk singer back in his hippie prime. Unfortunately though, she left him for his favorite musician Bob Dylan. He had good taste in music
  • It seems almost unthinkable but before Steve Jobs was conquering the world with his iPods he was out on the street telling people iBroke. Luckily for him he had some good friends so after dropping out of college they let him do some couch surfing.
  • When Steve was a kid he would attend local lectures put on by Hewlett-Packard. After one of the lectures he approached William Hewlett because he needed some computer parts for a project. Evidently Will was so impressed by Steve he gave him the parts and then offered him an internship on the spot.
  • Animation in Hollywood seemed to be a dying art until Steve came along and acquired The Graphics Group from Lucas Films for $10 million and turned it into the Pixar.
  • As a result of Steve’s partnership with Disney, Steve he lit the spark that led to movies like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and WALL-E. For almost 15 years he dominated the  animation industry but Toy Story was a more personal endeavor as he was Executive Producer.
  • After working on the famous Atari game Breakout they unofficially agreed to split their cut in half. Steve, being a cunning businessman, had other plans. Although Apple gave Steve $5,000 for their work he told Wozniak that he had only received $700. Wozniak later found out about it and said he would have given him the money had Steve told him that he needed it.
  • Steve wasn’t the only famous one in his family. His sister, a writer, is fairly popular as well. They didn’t meet each other until 1985. After their initial meeting they became really close friends and according to Mona talked at least once every other day
  • Prior to marrying Laurene, Steve had a child with Chris-Anne Brennan named Lisa. This was right around the time that Apple was taking off so he ended up denying paternity. Eventually, though, he changed his mind and at the end of the day he paid Lisa’s way to Harvard. The ultimate make-up present.
  • The New York Times recently revealed that Steve has 313 patents to his name. To give you some perspective, out of his peers Bill Gates holds about 9 and the Google boys have roughly a dozen between them.
  • He was the largest individual shareholder in Disney with 7% stake in the company after Pixar was bought out. He also held a spot on the Board of Directors. The next largest shareholder is its former CEO Michael Eisner coming in at 1.7%.
  • Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple in his garage shortly after Wozniak came out with the Apple 1 computer. From those humble beginnings Apple has grown into one of the largest companies in the world with $350 million in market value.
