Together Yet Apart

Recently I saw a cute couple on my way to home. The boy and girl seemed to be in deep love with each other. The boy kissed the girl’s forehead and waved her goodbye. It was a pleasant feeling to see such people around us. So a thought ran into my mind. What if the girl and boy would part their ways? There is no greater agony than letting go a person you care and love infinitely. And then I suddenly struck on the word Loneliness in my mind. So what is Loneliness according to you? Is it only being separated from the person you love? Or is it something more than that? The answer lies within us. It’s our thinking and belief about the over exaggerated word Love. What are the main reasons that lead to an end to this beautiful feeling we call love?

Love is a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection to pleasure. So do we restrict ourselves towards this dictionary meaning of love? Falling in love can be a slippery slope, regardless of any protective barriers we may have built. It can ease in like a light a mist that settles itself beautifully over your life, or it can blindside you. Falling in Love isn’t a wrong decision. We often fall in love with a person who we know the most and can rely on easily. You have already stretched your heart for someone who is capable of bruising it with care. Love is a feeling which makes us do things that come directly from the heart. To be loved and being loved makes a hell lot of difference. The relationships we see in today’s fast moving world are just vulnerable. There is no real love, even if it’s there; it’s for some cruel devil inside one’s mind. The loneliest feeling does not come from being single. It is being married or living with someone, but yet feeling alone emotionally.

Relationship’s end not due to lack of trust or being too possessive, it ends due to lack of love for the other person. We being humans are ruled by the orthodox thinking of controlling our partner’s life, we do it and we can’t help it. Our relationship goals are to be always together and never leave our imaginative other half! It may sound a bit off track, but yes we are the same. Being gather always leads to an unwanted feeling in one’s life we call as an Obsession. We literally obsess ourselves with our partner. Better to ask, how do you differentiate fantasy from reality anywhere in your life? Obsessive love is a fantasy expectation of an ego-centered outcome based upon idealized romantic illusion. It is a pre-written script that requires an often unsuspecting partner to memorize the lines and not expect to ever alter them. In other words, to be in an obsessive love relationship is to play a role that is clearly defined before you ever meet that person, and to play that role with passion and commitment. This is what leads to an unhealthy decision in the relationship. We attempt to reconcile the person according to our needs and wants.

Loneliness is the feeling we get in our heart and soul when we want to be connected with someone, and someone is not available to connect with. This can certainly occur when we are alone, but it also occurs in relationships when one or both partners are unavailable for connection — due to being angry, withdrawn, tired or ill. The meaning of relationships has changed in this modernized world of technocrats. Love has just remained in the books and the ancient love symbols such as Romeo and Juliet. There’s no space and respect for the love which we once used to seek easily.

Love can be excruciatingly painful when someone you love dearly is no longer in your life. Continuing to idealize and romanticize “the one” keeps you living in the past, making it extremely difficult to move forward. Lastly I would like to end the discussion with a poem:-

It’s has been ages you have left,

The roads are the same since you left,

So are the trees and wind.

I still wait for you on the same roads,

With the same wind that still touches my face.

I know deep in my heart that we have lost it somewhere,

But never expected that it would end nowhere.

It hurts and screeches my heart like hell,

For the rest of my life, we’ll be apart.

I’ll always wait for the future to shine,

Till then you’ll always be mine.

Your hands around my shoulders are empty and cold,

Please come back, I need someone to hold.

You will never realize how much I love you,

You will never understand how much I trust you.

You’re officially gone, But forever in my heart

You and me my Love, Together, yet apart

Together, Yet Apart..!

Miracle vs Logic

Do you believe in miracles..

Do you believe in God? These are the questions we face since childhood. When we were kids, we thought miracles are obvious things that are a part of daily life. For example, every parents surprise their children on Christmas nights which their kids think are direct gifts from their favorite Santa Clause. But once we start growing up, reality dooms over us and we eventually come to know the truth. The magical feeling of miracles leaves our minds like a camphor. But no matter what, our trust in God exists. Whether we actually witness God’s blessings or we do not, our hearts can never deny the faith in God. But do miracles actually happen? Does God actually bless us? Is there any existence of him?

The Half moon is peeping through the clouds and damp air is all around because of heavy rain for past two hours. I am resting on my bed waiting for the Sleeping Fairy to put a spell of sleep into my eyes. But every  single night, I remember the horrifying night which existed three months ago. The night was exactly same. Th same half moon, clouds, heavy rain followed by damp air. Okay, I forgot to describe my family. It is a small happy family, My parents, my sister Koyel and me. Okay, returning to that night, 17th June, 2016. Our neighbor, Mr. D. kr. Dey and his family and their little daughter Amrita. That day was Amrita’s birthday, she turned 5 that day. The Dey family threw a huge birthday party with every grand arrangements possible. My sister, who is thirteen year old became very compatible with Amrita and she became her so called lubbly dubbly elder sister.

After the party, Amrita fell asleep cuddling on Koyel’s lap and eventually Koyel decided to stay with her overnight. Everything was just great. The night was as pleasant and peaceful as little Amrita’s sleeping innocent face. Me, with cherishing memories from the day set off to bed cuddling slowly into my dreams. I was woke with a jerk by my mom who yelled at me “How could someone sleep like a hopeless useless creature and blah blah blah blah………. ” Okkk.. That doesn’t make sense.

That’s actually true. Whenever my mother is upset, she just talks off her mind and never thinks what she is talking about. But before my mother stopped yelling, I felt the burning smell entering my nose and I got to know something is burning.. But what..?? There was a lot of chaos and confusion outside the house. But about what..??…My mind set to action.. No time to think.. Run, Run, Run.. I went outside the house. Oh Goddddd…!!! Mr. Dey’s house is set on fire…. I was dumbstruck at the scene taken aback at what was happening. I stood like a lamp post for sometime.. My mind froze for a moment, then suddenly my mind said.. Koelll!!  Where us Koel? Where is Amrita? Where is the rest of the family..??? People are afraid to go near the huge monster, because it’s quite evident Buckets of water could not satisfy this hungry living monster. Fire brigade was already called by the time, but still did show no sign.

We were just horrified at what was happening. My mother was ready to jump into fire to save her child from the disaster but the neighbors caught hold of her firmly. I tried to stay calm and offered a deep pray to God because that’s all I could do standing there. People were running to and fro, shouting screaming. Children were crying for an unknown fear, the scene was ruthless. But I don’t know how I managed to pray in that situation. I was expecting a miracle. But that’s not possible. It can’t be like the monster saying, my tummy is full, I am going away tonight, stay happy, stay blessed. Come on, be realistic. Finally the fire brigade arrived and set to work. Ambulances arrived too. But it’s not easy to calm down a fire monster, who is spreading out fire like an angry dragon in the whole apartment. After almost forty minutes of watering, the God of fire set mercy on our dear earth.

We could see firemen rescued Mr. and Mrs. Dey from the hell and sent them to hospital. Their condition was ruthless, gruesome and pitiful. A glance at them showed the pain they were going through. I just could not look at them anymore, who were writhing in pain, they were sent to the hospital. My father and many neighbors went with them. Everything was a bit quiet now. But where were the kids..?? The firemen still did not rescue them. “Are they okay..??  Are they alive..?? But where are they..?? ” , these were the questions in everyone’s mouth. By the time the house already looked worse than a cremation ground, there were only burnt debris everywhere. I just didn’t want to expect the worst, still a lurking hope peeping into my heart. After ten more minutes, the firemen called us inside the burning hell. We were stunned. Why would someone get into it..??  But we all went.. Stepping the burnt hell…expecting the worst, hoping for the best.. When we reached the place where firemen called us, we were standing there mouth gaped, spellbound, astonished, surprised. Because we could not believe our own eyes for the first time in life. Guess what.. In Amrita’s playroom, she was sound asleep on Koyel’s lap, the room where the fire monster did not even peep.

It seemed like the room was detached from the rest of the house. From the chaos of the public, they opened their sleepy, puffy eyes with utmost difficulty which seemed to be toughest job for them at that time. Then again fell fast asleep. We took them to our house in our arms and kept them on bed. But the thing is …how is this possible..?? The fire which almost ate the full house, how could no trace of it be found in the playroom..?? A big question mark on everyone’s face but no one cared to know… Why should they..?? The kids were fine and fit.. That’s more than enough reason to forget the question mark, enough reason to be happy and contented.. Their sleepy face ultimately gave us a final good night for that night.

Three months later, today Mr. and Mrs. Das are still at the hospital. They are in much better condition now. The cause of fire was expected from cylinder leakage, as the investigators stated the later day. Amrita still lives with us. She is aware not aware of anything. We just told her a sweet lie to keep her happy. She waits for her parents eagerly but patiently, she misses them a lot. But she is happy. Now, She is sleeping with Koyel in the other room peacefully, their faces reflecting the face if the moon. And finally, the sleeping fairy casts her spell on me, taking me to her world of dreams…

ut what happened that night in that room. Was it a miracle? Was it a God’s blessing? Or was it science? Or was it a combination of all three..??

There are some questions in life whose answers we never get, however hard we try to find out. And there is an immense satisfaction not to know these answers. It’s like we are walking in a world of enigma.. But we would never like to run out from it…because certain beliefs keep us happy, which science cannot..

Infidelity is not the end

Rushing through the corridors of my college basement, I was desperately looking for the lecture hall for first year students, and then suddenly I collided with him. As soon as our eyes matched I realized that my brain can’t do any mistake regarding him. Soon I was flooded with the memories that we cherished. The electric jolt after touching him spread to whole of my body, exactly like it used to be in the earlier times.

Someone’s voice woke me up to the reality- lecture# late# first day. Without saying a word, I got away from him and saw my lecture hall and rushed towards it. This all was such a surprise to me that I was still shaking, but somehow cumbered up the courage to turn my head once to confirm what I saw was actually real or not? It was and he was also not able to believe his eyes, and they were penetrating deep inside of me. It was very much real, it was him- the first ever man I fell in love with, probably the last.

Lying in bed away from the daily hustle bustle of college with intertwining fingers of ours hands as well as leg, in this extreme cold environment we somehow remembered the day we met after spending a century long year apart from one another without any contact or information about each other.

This all must be a little perplexing for you, but it’s quite simple, I and Yash shared the same tuition classes in a very diminutive area, so practically everyone knew everyone. We kind off harbored secret infatuation for one another but never had the courage to accept it. Everyone in our batch knew but we seemed oblivious to the fact that we both mutually like each other. There was something about him that that I just adored, may be the way he walked, he talked, that smile that strikes up on his face every time his friend makes a joke.

And then we fell apart, never to see each other again for a year, I went to Delhi for the coaching without telling anyone. I deactivated my Facebook account, and thus lost all my contact with any friend I had from my tuition classes.

Now you already know about the day we met each other again. I still don’t have the words to actually define how I felt at that fastidious moment. May be it was the most euphoric moment for me until today, only to reach a point when whole of my world shattered right in front of my eyes, never to be able to get back to its germinal form, or so I thought.

It’s not easy to see the love of your life, dejecting you to be with someone else when you thought this all was very much veridical to you. It’s really difficult to be neglected by the guy who put you first till today. You start questioning your credibility, your love. You knew exactly what you had; you just thought you will never lose it. And then one day they are gone, and you are left alone in this mean world denounced by the one person you were ready to take a bullet for, only to see him standing behind the gun.

There is a point in a relationship when you just know that something is awry, the same way I did. Even after asking him, he didn’t said a single world rather than making me feel worse about me. But I knew this was all falsity, and then when the reality came in front of my eyes when I questioned him the impervious, to which he confessed.

He was cheating on me with a girl he met at a wedding; they have been talking from a while. All the times when I wanted to talk to him, but he was diligent, those frivolous excuses, annoyed attitude, everything haywire had a meaning, which I was not ready to accept, not yet. I was in denial, but my body knew.

But he realized his mistake a little too early, but quite late if seen from my side. My perfect little world has shattered into million pieces; by the person I never thought has the audacity to hurt me. His apologies didn’t have any effect on me. They were as useless as “ueue” in queue.

But one night when we were together, and his head was on my lap, his tears wetting the surface of my jeans, making it cling to my skin, begging me not to leave him and to give him another chance, they hit a chord in my heart which was untouched till today.

I did what most of girls in my position will never thought of doing. “Forgive and forget” is quite easy to advice but probably the hardest to follow. Never in my life did I cursed my sharp memory, because forgetting is the hardest thing in the goddamn world, when everyday you are reminded of the infidelity of your spouse. He didn’t just break my heart he broke our future.

Relationship is like a house, when a light bulb burns out, you don’t go and buy a new house; you fix the light bulb. That’s what exactly I did. In the beginning it was like walking on burning coal, but later on the pampering, apologies, repentance made it a little better.

Time does have the power to heal everything”, so it did. May be wounds never heal properly own their own, but with a good medicine they will. His love worked like a medicine and healed the wounds. Now, it’s been a year since this happened but whenever we are alone we think of the times we first met and how we reached to this irrevocable state of our relationship, and not of the time of his infidelity.

Living with one person for this long time makes you get used to the person. May be this was the case with me. But whatever it was, today I am very glad that I took this decision. It is very easy to destroy everything and move ahead, and the most difficult to actually own up to the mistakes of your spouse and forgive him and still be together and remain oblivious to the fact he once betrayed you. “Everyone can take an easy way out, but it takes courage to follow the least exposed part”, I had the courage may be you have it too.

Infidelity is not the end.

Moral and cultural breakdown

0
moral values

Are we heading towards a moral and cultural breakdown?

The message is loud and clear, repeated and reiterated in every single newspaper, news channel and magazine, every single day. Take a glance around your surroundings, a look into our society of today. Yes, we are heading towards a moral and cultural breakdown. In fact, it won’t be long from now to reach the destination.

Namaskar, the Indian custom of greeting on meeting someone. The custom which has been thrown into oblivion and shall never return. The custom defining Indian values is dead. This is what we are dealing with.

Change is inevitable, in every form, in every way. In fact, it is the only constant thing in life. We have changed so much. From barbarians to civilized, from wheel to rockets, from caves to skyscrapers, from pigeons to social network, and the list is endless. We have transformed technologically, economically, educationally and it goes on. But there’s no hiding of the bitter truth.

The grim reality of today remains that this wall of development and progress comes down shattering when we look at our society and the forgotten values it once nurtured. The aspects of westernization and modernization have become the termites, eating the very roots of our culture.

rape-crime-in-2016-india

Every crime – rape, forgery, loot, hacking, and fraud – is on rise in today’s scenario, recording a dramatic increase in the numbers in every police station across the whole nation. Teachers are not give their due respect. Live-in relationships have become the trend and marriages end up in divorces. Old age homes and orphanages are mushrooming up in every corner. The bizarre practice of manual scavenging continues to be a part of our society even in the 21st century. Bribery has become an everyday practice. Girls are raped in the national capital under broad daylight. People are marrying their blood relations to get hold of a mere green card. Caste has become the reason for student suicides. This is the heights of the torture we are inflicting upon our nation, our motherland. A total collapse of the morality within people.

Hypocrisy, backbiting, greed, jealousy, selfishness, conspiracy, superiority complex, showoff, anger, hatred, disregard for each other, inequality, arrogance, extreme pride, haughtiness. People are now ever ready to injure each other in thought, word, and deed. People speak lies freely. Compassion is totally extinct. People hearts are now harder than rock. Real and pure love is unknown. What is left is only selfish love based on selfish motives. Is this is the model of development that we are trying to build?

It is like a cancer spreading to the whole nation. If we do not pay heed to this clarion call now, the loss would be irreparable and the damage irrevocable. Do not turn deaf and blind to this situation. Our nation needs us.

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. Billy Graham

True Love Never Ends

true love stories never have endings quote

It’s too long since I have written about you. In fact I decided to stop writing anything that connects me to you. But I think I should give a  last chance  in this article. I really don’t understand how we can get so depressed because of the person whom we LOVE and RESPECT the most. How can a person control all our feelings.

Okay fine.. you really don’t remember me. I should recall   you everything..  you came into my life without my permission by an unknown number.   you are so talented that someone will definitely want to know about you. And finally you revealed and became my best friend with great support.  you started caring me such a way that I trust u the most.Suddenly   you  told that you love me without knowing even HOW DO I LOOK.

Every girl wish for a boy like you who loves her for what she is…Who can understand her feeling without expressing..who admires her inner beauty but not her looks..who gets crazy and feels lucky for having her.. you gave me a wonderful gift in my life for my birthday with a picture having your childhood photo saying that   you  r gifting   you  for the rest of my life.I swear I felt awestruck and so happy..I like every small thing relates to   you. Your voice, smile, thinking…what not..

True Love Never Ends

And even I fell in love unintentionally. Then I came to know what a true love is..which connects two hearts. At that time I don’t know that it changes my life drastically..And everyone knows that those are the wonderful days ever in our lyf..  you  proved that love is accepting each other for what we are..we starting imagining our life in a wonderful dreams. But…

May be happiness can’t stay at a single place..Suddenly   you  started to change. you told that   you  are concentrating on your carrier for my sake.. and for us to live happily in future..I started supporting   you .. In spite of my wish to be your strength   you  told me that u can’t concentrate because of me and I became your weakness. For the first time in my life I felt so low about myself.   you used to avoid me for months. Still I tried to understand all your situations. when   you  talk to me I will respond    you  normally holding all my pain inside. Sometimes I just want to go inside your heart and want to listen your feelings for me.

Even when   you  are in my thoughts, it pains somewhere deep inside. I used to wait for at least a single text and if it comes my day will be so good. I started enjoying the pain..Some situations test our love. I became so brave that I travelled long distance alone just to see   you  once and feel your presence. I was so mad that I used to just stare at your hand. And in your absence used to touch your books, pen and pity myself as   you  love them more than me.

As a girl from childhood everyone will have dreams and I have seen all my dreams in you and I want   you  to feel that I am the best girl friend to have in your life. But donno what god decides..I hold all the pain for 2 years and tried all my ways to come out of you.. but at the end, failed and realized that I am incomplete without   you .  used to cry for hours and days just thinking of you. Even when I was surrounded by number of people, tears roll down suddenly.

I started writing a dairy  when I felt like sharing   you  my sad or happiness. It is the only one which knows all my crying all through the years.I used to be really strong person from the childhood. But donno why love makes someone so weak that they can’t even control some emotions.Sometimes I want to die and see at least then   you  drop a single tear for me..But I don’t have a right to do that..I hate my self when I expects something from   you  and   you  treat me so cheap and kicks me like a dog..and then…..

After 2 years   you  told me that   you  want to meet me.i was so happy that I can’t even express in words.I thought for a bit that at least then, everything will become sort out..But on that day when I sat beside   you ..Donno why I cried so loud..I tried to explain what I felt over those years..but I realized that…sad-alone-girls-crying-miss-u-couple-love-wallpapers-2

you  came to give a clarity that   you  don’t want me in your life and decided to move on..its really so great of   you ..The worst situation is   you  can’t understand my love even I yell and cry loudly that I LOVE  you and  ready to do anything for   you ..i felt so helpless..And on that day I decided to quit for the first time in my life.I was fail..yes I failed to let you go..to make you happy and let you free for your life..But no one can love as I do…

In spite of all this..If   you  come to me and ask to love   you  again..i will..I cant hate you as you  are always top on the world for me..still I really don’t know why  can’t I forget a person with such a stone heart and don’t even care my feelings..I became so blind that I  don’t even care the one who cares and loves me..ya it happens because we don’t have the person we love the most..Believe me…Still my love for   you  won’t die..It will be in my heart till my last breath..Because true love happens only once in life.sad-love-quotes-hd-wallpapers

Maybe it happened in many of the girls lives..just felt like sharing my feelings again for   you. I don’t want to make   you  a Villain..i can’t even bare a single word against you..its just my madness..sorry if it hurts…i know u don’t even care about this..Everything happens for a reason..At Least I learnt a lesson..I came to know that what really matters in our life is our parents.Only their love is pure and will be always with us..just we should move on with time..

And thank you so much for making me so strong  that I can withstand any situation in my life..with loads of love… I have realised that True Love Never Ends.
