Our country is full of holy cities which are always counted as the travelling spots by the elderly people mostly but now-a-days teenagers also start believing in good and God  and visit to these places for some peace and hustle free life. People are counting on these religious places like Ayodhya, Mathura, Varanasi, Haridwar and still counting. But Sikhs always consider to look at only one stop i.e., AMRITSAR which is being considered as the most holistic place of Punjab. And now different people belonging to different gender, religion, castes, city, states come to ask Lord for the good.

When I had trip to Amritsar, I went there with my friends and I had no idea at that time if this place could provide me with so much of good memories to cherish,  good people, savouring delicious food, the footprints of history, the reasonable shopaholic arena, and the most important it made me fell for meethi lassi which is being considered as one of the major element of Punjabi food. Believe me! I used to hate lassi and now I am the only one who finishes the lassi ka glass first in lassi race with my brother always J

So many people ask that the Jallianwala Bagh and Golden temple are the only landmarks we could go for in Amritsar. What are the other places we can visit there?  So, I am gonna tell you the most favourite of mine and you should definitely take a look at the countdown.

1. Kesar da dhaba

   

It is the only place where I had lassi and I became the fan of it. It provides you the proper Punjabi food with hell lot of spices, ghee and salad in it but trust me or not it will give you the immense pleasure when you will have it. Your taste buds will start dancing and you will eat it as if you will never gonna had such kind of food in your life again. This is one of my favourite spot to have food in Amritsar. Do grab some food there if you go, you can’t afford to miss this chance at all.

2. Chura market

   

It is not mandatory that if a girl is married or going to be married can only wear  Chura. The Chura market near Golden temple is though famous for Suhag Chura but the bachelor girls can also go and try different bangles, Chura and stuff for themselves. When I went to that market I was so impressed with the colors, designs, and the most interesting thing which I had discovered there at that time was that  that the Suhag Chura was engraved the names of the grooms on it. I

3. The Amritsar Markets

Honestly, the markets in Amritsar is costlier in terms of ladies garments but Yes, you should bargain with them. There are so many jutties, salwarsuits  latest fashion and trend. Some of the shopkeepers are so cool and jolly that they themselves offer you some good stuff at reasonable prices and Mind it!  you need to search hard, really nice hard to search for these kind of shops. You should be respectful and down to earth with them, they are pretty nice people.

4. The flee market near Golden Temple

   

If  you guys don’t worry about the money so go on, grab some stuff which will amaze you. And who are still worried about the money so I have a good news for you shopaholics there,  “Where there is a will, there is a way.”  so there is a way to flee market near Golden temple which are so reasonable and standardized. You will be surprised to know that there are so many things from bangles to clothes, jutties to shoes, salwar suits to anakalis, and You men there, Don’t be sad! There are so many things for you guys too. Go and get them.

5. Juice you never had before

I don’t like Ganne ka rus but you should try it once in Amritsar from the local  Theliwalaas. You will definitely not gonna regret it. The taste is different and YES, they are hygienic too. A must try..

6. Kalian wala khu (Well of blacks)

This is another holy place for the theists in Ajnala, Amritsar. This place has its own history which is still buried in that well. The remains of the martyrs of 1857 revolt are still there. There is a Gurudwara just near this well.  I went there too to see that place where our brave fighters are buried with deceit. You should go there and watch out that How people are protecting that place and keeping that history, the sacrifice of those soldiers still alive.

7. Guru ka langar

   

How can it happen if you go to Amritsar and don’t have Guru ka langar . Guru ka langar is a must. There is not doubt in it that if you go there  you will surely visit Harmandir Sahib ( Golden Temple). Jst don’t forget to have Guru ka langar as it is the most tastiest food you will ever had for yourself. Only Maa ke haath ka khana & Guru ka langar can give you goose bumps whenever you will have it. The feeling of love, trust and the taste of purity is beyond next level. So if you are feeling homesick and you want to taste the yummiest food then go for Guru ka langar- Free of cost and beyond perfect…..

8. Major attractions of Amritsar

Amritsar is known for Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Wagah border and one should definitely visit these places as it will complete your trip in complete sense if yopu go to AMRITSAR.

So these are the must DO’s list of mine which I want you guys to definitely do whenever you guys will visit “Amritsar- The land of SAROVAR.”

2) The Cartoon Museum in London

London has a huge variety of museums, but the Cartoon Museum is one of the most remarkable. It is a small exhibition where every visitor can feel like a child in the wonderful world of cartoons. The museum features more than 5000 cartoon characters and 4000 comic books. Also, the museum is known for his political satire: here you can find not only the images of Winnie the Pooh but also, for example, caricatures of Queen Elizabeth II.

3) Borley Rectory, Essex

The house of a rector, built on the site of the destroyed benedictine monastery in the village of Borley, has gained fame as “the most haunted house in England”. In the 1920s, the mysterious events that took place in the house were even described in the pages of Daily Mail. As the legend goes, a nun, who lived in the ancient monastery where the house now stands, fell in love with a monk from a nearby monastery. But before they managed to escape, their relationships have been disclosed, and the lovers were murdered. According to one version, the nun was buried alive in the walls of the monastery.

Since then, her silhouette repeatedly appears near the place of her death. There are two books devoted to Borley Rectory, describing the supernatural events that took place here. In 1939, the house burned down, but the ghost keeps haunting local residents and drawing people from around the world.

4) The Beachy Head, East Sussex

Not far from the town of Eastbourne in East Sussex County there is the highest chalk headland in the UK. Its height is 162 meters. Beachy Head has formed about 100 million years ago when this piece of land was still under water. The place is notorious for a large number of suicides that took place here. Currently, there is even a special working team, whose aim is to prevent such incidents.

5) Glastonbury, Somersetshire County

Glastonbury is one of the oldest towns in England, located near Glastonbury Tor. The main attractions here are the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey and the remains of settlements which existed before the Roman invasion. In the XVI century, after the king’s order to dismantle the abbey, Glastonbury lost its national significance. The city is also famous for Glastonbury music festival that attracts visitors and artists from around the world.

We always remember people if they had contributed something to our happiness, tension or may be daily life. Basically people become famous when they do something extraordinary. Basically that extraordinary is a good thing. But some of us barely know the darker side of the so called famous personality. Yes there is some fact about our beloved famous figures that would  surely give you 100 watts of electric shock.

1.Bad Luck Of Titanic

I guess everyone is aware of the great ship named titanic. Even though it was a ship, it was no less than any famous figures. This was considered as the biggest ship at a time and it was supposed to be unsinkable. While travelling, it carried about 2200 passengers and crew members. This ship was going perfectly as per everyone’s expectation until it struck an iceberg. Water filled almost all the compartments and due to less availability of life boats lead to sacrifice of many innocent life. Almost 1178 people could be saved all total that is only 33% of the total people boarded. You can imagine how terrific that site might be.

2.A Man Turned Lead Into Gold

It is assumed that a person named Fulcanelli made the impossible work, possible. Can you imagine how can a lead be converted into gold? But the founder in still in darks. No one knows what’s his real name or what does he do or whether he is married or not. That person is still a complete mystery. Some believed that the person doesn’t exist in real life and the name is used by his master Canseliet. He might have published on Fulcanelli’s name but there were mistakes in the theory and the mystery is still unsolved.

3.Alexander Graham Bell Didn’t Invent The Telephone

Yes you heard right. Bell was not the real inventor of the telephone. It is believed that telephone was the real idea of a person named Antino Meucci. The main problem was his poverty. As per the rumors, the story is something like this. Antino had the idea of telephone but due to his poverty he filed half patent. He couldnot afford a full one. Then a tragedy took place in the form of boiler explosion where Antino was severely injured. When he came back, he came to know that his wife sold all his experiments and everything in the lab for $6 for his medication. Still he didn’t give up and made another model for western union telegraph company. But they also let him down and after 2 years, bell filed a patent for the telephone and Meucci was sued.

4.Micheal Jackson Wanted To Play Spiderman

Can you imagine that? Yes Michael so badly wanted to play the role of Spiderman. He discussed the situation with director Stan Lee and also said that he wanted to purchase the rights to the character. Lee explained that he needs to go to marvel and share his plans with them. When asked if Jackson would have done, well Lee said, “I think he would have done well. I think he would have done very well. But I must say Tobey Maguire was wonderful.” Whether this was a missed opportunity by the studios, or a pipe dream for Michael, we all can agree that Michael’s movies would be a thriller.

5.Martin Luther King Made A Living Plagiarizing

When anyone comes up with the name, Martin Luther King, the 1^st thing that comes to his/her mind is his motivational speech. But guys do you know that this were not his own works? You might have many fascinating novels like romeo  and Juliet, As you like it etc. but ever heard a novel named ‘Gadsby’? This novel is one of a kind. The speciality of this novel is that this novel has 50,000 words and none of them has the letter ‘e’. Yes you heard it right. Might be thinking how is that even possible? This impossible work was done by Ernest Vincent and all he did was taking out the letter ‘e’ from his typewriter. 7.A Stolen Bicycle Inspired Muhammad Ali’s Carrer

Muhammad ali , the famous boxer, decided to walk forward in the direction of boxing cause of his stolen bicycle. His name was Classius Clay before he became a boxer. There was an incident in his early life that made him hi the gym. One time he and his friend were at the Columbia auditorium. When he came back he realized that his cycle was stolen. It was very valuable for him. The frustrated Classius told an officer that he wanted to beat up the thief. Coincidentally the officer was a boxing coach. He replied, ‘well you better learn how to fight before challenging people.’ That is when Ali’s passion began.

8.Charlie Chaplin’s Body Was Stolen From His Grave

He died on December 25^th, 1977 in his Switzerland home. What happened next was just a movie. Two men stealthily snatched Chaplin’s body from the cemetery and then contacted Chaplin’s wife Oona and demanded for 60,000dollars ransom. Otherwise, they cautioned again her children. Oona refused as her husband won’t approve of such a thing. The investigation started and concluded after five long weeks when police arrested two auto mechanics.

9.Thomas Edison Killed Animals By Electrocuting Them

Thomas Edison gave us many things that changed the world forever. His biggest invention was electricity. But the intelligent inventor also had a dark side. At a time, Edison was in a battle with Nikola Tesla to have control of America’s electric groundwork.
