Blue-green eyes of a forlorn man,

distraught with grief and far beyond,

Aching tears welled in his eyes,

fell on his boots without a second thought,

brown and (slightly) speckled were they,

an alarming expression clouded his face,

death shrouded his beautiful and endearing creature

its lifeless form lay on his lap,

shredding his sanity bit by bit,

he came undone as he grasped it,

bent, broken, fallen was his posture,

and mind but still filled with his baby’s rants,

‘That mischievous and rebellious little thief’, he thought,

A little smile crept up on his quivering lips,

As he reminisced the good old days with his little buddy,

And shuddered the next second, violently,

He spat at fate, for being so cruel,

For taking away his beloved child,

His sweet furry beast, who did no one harm,

Who only sought to be a cute being,

Loved by his friends, as he did nothing but claim him,

To be his son,

Such was his bond with the creature,

Who died a painful death!

‘Mom’s here, mom’s here!’, He could coo over his baby,

Like a lost child in a crowd, the creature would pounce,

On its owner, its father, it’s everything,

It was his only solace amidst the world full of traitors,

Who want nothing more than to hurt him,

Use him and maim his innocent heart and soul,

It was time to bid farewell, to the little bugger,

Say the last prayer of hope,

Keep a sliver of faith glued to his heart,

He is moving onto a better place,

A peaceful and welcoming arena,

Only for an exquisite creature

like his baby, he thought with agitation,

He swallowed the pill of acceptance,

Dug a small grave for its tiny body,

Religiously rested it in the small space,

Shovelled it shut and said a silent goodbye.

2. Simba – The sweet tale of a cub, who is the prince of a territory. How he grows up, learning valuable lessons from his father, Mufasah and making friends,faces evil and learns how to fight them.

3. Dexter’s Laboratory – This is the story of a very young scientist who is merely in school. It is an amazing series with a hidden,underground laboratory where Dexter works and nobody knows about it and how his elder sister, DeeDee bugs him all the time by somehow making her way into the lab.

4. Noddy – This cartoon was all about a kid named Noddy who lived in Toyland. Noddy has a wobby head and his own car,his own aeroplane and everything. A very cute,funny way to teach young kids some valuable lessons of life.

5. Johnny Bravo – This was one of the funniest cartoons of those times. It was the story of a young man named Johnny Bravo and his lame attempts to try and get a girl. He always thought of himself to be the most handsome guy when in fact he was a blond guy with trapezium shaped hair,thinnest legs and weirdly large chest. It was a great show.

6. Scooby Doo – This particular cartoon is probably still on some of our favourites’ lists. This cartoon was one of the best of its time. It was a story of four friends Fred,Shaggy,Welma and Dapphine and their dog named Scooby. These people always somehow get into mysterious trouble and by using their detective skills and Scooby’s luck,they always made their way out.

There were many more cartoons like Bob the builder, Spongebob Squarepants,Captain Planet,Wild Cats and so so many more.

Although you know these things which I am going to write but I haven’t told them to you in person, so here I am writing this for you.

You are the most important person in my life. The part of my life which is inseparable and this is tried and tested, many have tried to apart us but we are still the same and that made our bond even stronger, thanks to those people though.

You are the one who knows me more than I know myself. After listening to just a hello you get to know about my mood, well hats off for that. The times when I am so irritated and not even wish to move out of the bed and just yell at people, you are the one who says babe chill its just PMS, you’ll be fine. Then I am like yeah girl you are right and we both laugh together on this.

Thank you for showing that trust on me that I can give kick ass performance in the exams when I am not even prepared and freaks out by announcing to everyone that I’ll fail. “Bhai bahot easy hai, I know and I trust you tu aram se kar legi”, when you say these words, I get the motivation to do it for you and for this support I can’t thank you enough.

You are the one with whom I can be open and honest. With you I can be myself and accept me the way I am and love me for who I am. When I am with you I can be as ugly as I could and I know you’ll still love me. And yup thank you for having faith on me and my driving at that time when you knew I am a bad driver :p

Thank you for going on dates with me, and for this I can proudly say I don’t need a man for going out on date when I have you. From our shopping dates to food dates, though coffee date is still due, you were always there for me. And ya I can never forget that jalebi date.

You are the first person who comes to my mind when I wish to share something be it love, lafde or any other freaking problem of my life, you know the complete stories from the very beginning to the end.

Unlike all the relationships that came after, with this one, the past can’t seem to stay in the past. They tend to have some power some control over us forever.

The major reason why we never get over the first love is due to its intensity. We just happened to fall in love the first time, the excitement, the madness has no bounds. We are not aware of the things happening to us or the things that we actually are doing. Everything unfolds slowly and spontaneously; every next step is a surprise. First love always is innocent, carefree, selfless, silly, wild, unrealistic; and it also is a treasure of all the firsts of your life.

When the first love is lost a part of you is lost forever. A permanent void is created in your heart which in your later life forces you to think about what if the things hadn’t ended, what if we could have stayed together forever; each time the mind thinks of all this the heart sinks.

Later a longing to feel the same develops and we start “searching” for love. Thus the essence of falling in love is lost, and even after finding one we always tend to compare it with the first one. There are expectations, the spontaneity is lost. We start weighing and judging peoples, emotion, and relation. The first love has changed you forever.

No matter what you tell yourself, what you try to make of it, it will always be ‘the first love’. You always thought it would work out, but it didn’t. You always thought they were the one and you’ll probably never get over the fact that it still didn’t worked out. It’ll always haunt you. You’d eventually move on with life, but seeing them with someone else will never feel right. The ‘what if’ will always haunt.

So let that first love occupy that special corner in the bottom of your heart and play the magic trick of making you blush on hearing its name or while you cherish the memory even in your old age.
