Galouti Kabab the signature dish of Lucknow was invented for the Nawab of Lucknow. The old Nawabs of Lucknow were very particular about the aromatic delicacies but had no tooth. Kebabs were a remedy to this.
Lucknow, the city of Nawabs still manages to preserve it’s rich royal heritage be it through its architecture , literation or the “Khatirdaari” of Lucknow. The rich Mughlai cuisine with aromatic spices is a major contribution to the city is old world charm. Lucknow has some top dishes to it’s menu, which includes – Lucknavi Biryani , Moti Pulao , Parind Pari, Arvi Ka Salan, and many more delectable recipes. But the varieties of Kebabs hit the top list like Patili ke Kabab, Tundey Ke Kebab , Galouti Kabab etc.
Kebabs played a major role in both , royal dining as well as commoner’s household during 13th Centuary A.D, were enjoyed in breakfast along with Naan. The major invention of the Kebabs were actually for the toothless king ‘ Nawab -Asad-ud -Daula’. It is heard about the Nawab that he was immensely generous in nature . There is a famous saying about the King,” Jisko na Dey Maula, usey de Asad-ud Daula”( What God won’t grant you, Asad would)
But by the time the heir of Siraj-Ud-Daula, Asad-Ud-Daula came into power, British had taken hold of the office, leaving his love for grand architecture and good food.
The Nawab was so infatuated towards Kebabs that he had special orders for his cooks to come up with a new variant of Kebab everyday. The interesting fact behind the discovery of the Kebabs is that, it is said that even during the time of the great Famine of 1783, his Khansumas were busy creating newer versions of Kebabs, that were incredibly silky and velvety. The Kababs were served to his court men as well as the laborers who were helping him build his famous architectural marvels like Bada Imambara.
Exotic ingredients like Sandalwoods Rosebuds, Rose, Red Gensing and Pathar Ke Phool etc. were added in the Shahi Mixture of the Kebabs. It is said that “Shahi Mixture” of the Kebabs made use of all these ingredients plus over whopping 150 exotic spices.
It is believed that it was ‘Haji Mohammad fakr-e-Alam Saheb’ , the creator of the Moti Pulao who made the first Galouti Kebab and gifted the court, this creamy, velvetty, lip-smacking delicacy.

Does the alarm that rings on a Monday morning irritates you? Well, it’s not just the case with you. It is very common and usual to feel lethargic. You may feel like lying on the bed or your couch is the best thing in the whole world. Or maybe an addition, lying on the couch, watching T.V. and then sleeping seems more suitable. It is very difficult to wake yourself up on a winter morning and go to school/college/work.
Ways To Kill Lethargy And Work
1. Tell Yourself That Everyone Is Doing Something Productive
Competition and work pressure positively work to kill lethargy. Well, it seems like a difficult task. But all you have to do is to tell yourself, “I have slept enough. I know this truth. I want to work and make this day a productive day. My body is telling me the opposite. Well, somewhere in my heart, I know what’s right. And the right thing according to my conscience is to wake up, get ready and go to work. If I keep sleeping, I’ll miss out all the positive vibes that I may get by going to work.” SO, LET;S GET UP!
2. Think About The Happiness That Work Might Bring To You
Sleep might give you temporary happiness. And I am not asking you to not sleep. Sleep because that’s one of the most important thing in life. But, make sure you don’t sleep extra than what your body needs. When you wake up and go to work, and enthusiastically work, then the happiness that you will get then cannot be compared to the temporary happiness that sleep might give to you.
3. Set A Target
Tell yourself that if you work each day and wake up on time, then you will gift yourself a pleasant and fun filled weekend. Whatever makes you achieve your target, put that thing as the reward. Try it, it actually helps

Amazon has come up with “Long-term storage fees” to tackle the problem caused by stocked/ filled storage houses. The e-commerce company recently found that in case a storage unit/ warehouse was filled/ stocked with various products for a long period of time, it could not be used for holding onto other products which further resulted in a lack of space for fast-selling products. Due to this, products were displayed as “out of stock”.
Amazon has been providing customers with good quality products, at low prices through various drool-worthy Amazon offers. Further, it has been able to keep both customers and sellers happy by putting in place a user-friendly system.
Lately, the company has made certain changes in the seller fee. One such change is the introduction of a “Long-Term Storage Fee”. The simple meaning for this is that Amazon will charge money from sellers whose products are stored in the inventories or Amazon’s fulfillment centers i.e. FCs for 6 months in the case of shoes and 12 months in the case of apparel categories. So any third-party seller on Amazon is now subjected to sell more in order to keep their products in Amazon’s FCs for more time. The fee has been imposed as a limiting factor. The same is likely to stop the indefinite storing of products in FCs by one or two sellers.
One of the major reasons behind doing so is the competition between Flipkart and Amazon’s India. Amazon is trying to beat the competition by improving its marketplace’s attractiveness among buyers and sellers. Amazon has issued various referral fees under numerous categories for the same reason.
Despite of being an economic strategy, the idea is not to generate income from the fee collected, but to increase the availability of fast-selling products in the FCS. According to Amazon, slow-moving products acquire space that could have been allotted to fast-moving goods.
In a recent communication with a seller, an Amazon India spokesperson mentioned that they have heat the big number of 3 lakh sellers in their marketplace who offer almost 160 million items for selling. Usually, these sellers come from semi-town or semi-urban or rural areas i.e. mostly underdeveloped areas. The spokesperson said that their prime objective is to provide exposure to each and every one of their sellers at the national level through their portal.
Amazon has also changed its weight handling fees. As per the recent changes, the weight handling fees will be charged less in case the shipping is subjected to a near locality of the seller. According to the latest rate card, sellers will now be able to measure their savings while shipping to regional or local customers. The same method has already been introduced by Flipkart and eBay. Amazon too has high hopes for the same.
An E-commerce business is built on the relationship between the seller and the buyer. The objective is to create a profitable marketplace for both ends. Third-party sellers have now become an integral part of big e-commerce websites and Amazon is not an exception from that.
Clearing CAT is a dream for almost all MBA aspirants. Acing it with a reasonably good percentile could help an aspirant to gain admission in one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other well-reputed top-tier institutions in India and globally. Most of the students start with their preparations for CAT in their final year of graduation due to the high level of competition.
There are however a number of myths surrounding CAT that often plague students’ minds and are detrimental towards their ultimate goal of achieving a good score and gaining admission in a prestigious business school. The myths range from absolutely senseless ones such as women are incapable of solving the quantitative section in CAT, to serious ones such as, experienced professionals have a competitive advantage over fresh graduates when it comes to getting admission in IIMs through CAT, or the top tier colleges in the country.
In this article, we will try to debunk some of the myths doing the rounds and hindering candidates from achieving their potential.
CAT is solely meant for Engineering graduates
A well-believed myth about the exam is that CAT exam pattern and syllabus prescribed for it are designed keeping in mind engineers, and therefore, engineers are the best-suited candidates to crack the test. It is believed that students of other disciplines are incapable of cracking it because their backgrounds do not match with that of the kind of questions asked in CAT.
It is, however, a wrong belief that the exam is solely made for engineers. A person having studied in any discipline can crack the test with the right preparation and the right mindset. Even students who have historically been weak in Mathematics can easily brush up their basics over time and eventually be at par with everyone else when it comes to CAT preparation. All that is required to crack the test is a persistent effort in eliminating the weaknesses a student has and converting those into strengths.
If you do not clear CAT in the first attempt, you can never do it.
It is an unreasonable fear in the mind of many students that if you cannot crack the examination in one attempt you are most likely to never make it through. While it is true that there is no other joy in accomplishment than facing a tough examination such as CAT in one clean attempt, it is a false belief that such a perfect situation would occur in everyone’s case. Many students, in fact, keep attempting the test for years without losing heart until they have made it. It is ultimately about grit and determination that would take a student to where he or she wants to go and giving up on a dream after one failure is foolish and self-sabotaging.
Candidates preparing over a long period of time have higher chances of clearing CAT
While preparing properly for CAT will take some time, if you want to do well in the examination and clear it in a few attempts, it is not true that the longer someone slogs over CAT preparation materials, the better chances they have in cracking the test. All that is required for a proper attempt at CAT is focused study by keeping in mind the entire syllabus, regular practice and self-assessment, and solving questions like there’s no tomorrow.
Students who prepare in a focused and determined manner have a better grasp of the subject matter of the test and a good overall understanding of what exactly is expected from them in the examination. It requires all senses to be alert and at peak performance so that whatever information is required at the moment is at the tip of one’s fingers precisely when needed. The longer you spend time over the materials, the less alert you sometimes might become because everything becomes all too familiar and the alertness slowly fades away. Rigorous preparation for a shorter time span would yield better results than spending years over the material without a proper direction.
Scoring a good percentile is equal to admission in an IIM
Scoring a great percentile is a big advantage over other candidates. However, scoring well does not automatically ensure admission to an IIM. A management student is expected to be smart, persuasive, alert, equipped with quick decision-making skills and practical know-how. The tests succeeding the entrance examination would seek to assess these qualities in a student.
Group discussions and personal interviews are conducted to precisely understand how well a person presents himself outside theoretical knowledge which has already been tested in the entrance examination. Therefore, making yourself presentable and comfortable in speaking publicly while honing certain skills needed for an MBA student to succeed is of utmost importance if you really want to make it to one of the top management colleges.
These are a few myths that we have sought to debunk with the objective of helping aspiring CAT applicants. There are many more misconceptions regarding the examination. What a student must keep in mind is that ultimately nothing else matters other than a thorough preparation to crack the examination, and anyone can make it through if they are determined to. Good Luck!

Grade 10 is one of the most crucial grades for students as well as their parents because the certification that you get makes a big difference. If you go on to take admission in any university after school or even if you apply for a job, 10th class mark sheet is asked everywhere. So, this usually builds a nerve wrecking pressure on students, their parents and teachers.
Tips To Prepare Well For Class X Board Examination
1. Devote Proper Time To All Subjects
In class 10th, most students find mathematics and science as the most difficult subjects. But this does not mean that you devote almost all your time to these subjects leaving no time for others. Plan your routine according to your commands and weaknesses in all the particular subjects. Decide that which subject needs more attention and which subject the least.
2. Do NCERT Nicely
NCERT is the bible for you. Read NCERTs very well and make sure you attempt all the in text questions and the questions from the back exercises. Refer to help books. Don’t read a lot of help books as this might cause confusion. Stick to NCERTs and one help book for each subject.
3. Give Yourself Adequate Time To Relax
If you keep worrying about studies and not relax and have fun, then this might act negatively on you and can reflect the same in your performance. So, make sure you a take break of 8-10 minutes after every one hour of sincere study. This will help your brain to rejuvenate itself. Also, follow your passions whenever you find time.
4. Try To Find Some Time To Meditate
Meditation solves a lot of problems like stress, anxiety etc. It’s like one key to a lot of locks. I know the schedules can be really challenging and hectic but try to find at least 10 minutes to meditate.
5. Golden Point : Solve Previous Years’ Papers
This is one golden tip. Solve as many as previous year papers as you can. This will help you become averse with the exam pattern and help you gain more confidence. Solving papers is directly proportional to exam fear reduction. The more papers you solve, the more your fear gets reduced.
Wondering how you can keep yourself happy each day? Well, every soul needs appreciation and respect. So, instead of expecting someone to do that for you, go ahead and start practicing it for yourself. Each day, appreciate yourself what the hard work that you put in the entire day. This will not only give you inner happiness and joy but will also give confidence to work harder and do better deeds.
Ways To Keep Yourself Happy And Blissful
1) Practice Gratitude Each Day
Thank yourself and your body each day for helping you throughout the day. Tell yourself how happy you feel by working hard and sincerely and then, thank yourself for the same. This will make you feel joyous!
2) Decide What You Want To Get From Life
And from this, I mean to say that figure out what you want to do with your life. Decide your career path according to yourself. Because it’s usually said that when you do something you love, you don’t feel like you are at work. Also, deciding your goal will give you positive vibes to work more and in a better way.
3) Plan Accordingly
When you plan things well in advance, things start working smoothly and you don’t really feel any pressure. So, just take notes of how you want to organize things so as to execute your plan well. And planning in advance always saves you from unnecessary panicky situations.
4) Tell Yourself That Your Health Is Your First Priority
Keep reminding yourself that you are able to work and can work further only if your body allows you to. So, serve your body with the best fuel i.e. a balanced diet, nuts, etc. Your health and keeping your body should be your first priority. Also, I’d like to include meditation in this point. Meditate for a minimum of 10-15 minutes each day. Just after some days, you will start observing positive changes in yourself after you start meditating!

Try to connect with the people who can inspire you and are a source of positive vibes. Staying with such people will surely make you learn good attributes from them. So, do connect!
