The Lake at the End of the World

The Lake at the End of the World

Have you ever thought to see the day ahead of present day or ever thought to live one or two days behind the rest of the world. To see world ahead of time we need to be in America or China or Russia or Japan to experience the advance in technology and a day ahead of present. But if you want to experience the wonderful past, a day or two behind the rest of the world you should visit Slovenia.

Planina Zajamniki Alpine Meadow

Barely one hour from Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, is Lake Bohinj, a wonderful lake on earth for time to be still. A day or two is manageable how about a long lag, it would be worse. For centuries, the villages around the Lake were cut off from the rest of the country by poor roads and vertiginous terrain and these are clustered in the shadow of the Julian Alps. In order to travel to Ukanc, a hamlet on the far side of the lake Bohinj, whose name translates to “end of the world” and this could possibly take weeks.

22

In 1906 during the early days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire tunnels were made through the mountain side and railway lines were added connecting the northern mining town of Jesenice. While the Bohinj region became slightly less remote as it spent decades as a part of communist Yugoslavia becoming isolated from the rest of Europe politically. Despite of Slovenia’s independence in 1991 and entry into the Eurozone in 2007, a deep connection to the past and a slower-paced life remains the same.

Scattered villages, wooden houses and open haylofts of Bohinj’s sparse and it clearly shows that the Austro Hungarian Empire has never fallen. Shepherds and cowherds still head to the top of Mount Vogel to graze their livestock. “A mystery” church at the edge of the lake by the milk colored Church of St. John the Baptist. No evidence of how old the church was but some say it was built in 15th century.

24

Across the bank from the church stands the slender, a dark bronze statue of Zlatorog, or The Golden Horn, the magical stag believed to guard the ridges present around the lake. In the afternoon light, it almost looks real.

It was the sort of place, where one can forget any other such places exist on earth. Agatha Christie used to come to this place. But she never set any of her works here. She said it was too beautiful for a place to set any murders.

How We Design Our Days Shapes Up Our Life!

How We Design Our Days Shapes Up Our Life !

To look broadly our days are actually mini versions of our entire life. As we pass each day spending hours we actually become the creator of an entire year. Our life gets shaped by us just depending on how we design our daily lives. Powerful thought!

Childhood-Life-is-Beautiful-Art-Wallpaper

What we do on this very day is actually helping us make a lifetime. The words we speak to others, the thoughts we make inside us, the food, the things we use, the service we give and the love and warmth we spend on a daily basis helps shaping up our own destiny. Hence, there is really nothing called a bad day. Every day we spend is equally important and equally contributing to make our future.

Our social norms, financial achievements and power games have created discrimination in the society. We have bifurcated our own selves into different classes of people depending on the work we do and depending on the financial status we portray. We forget the fact there is no such thing called rich or poor. Just the same way there is no such thing like a good day or a bad day.

life

We all are born to be great in our own lives. Each one of us is equally powerful to choose something for us. To make a choice this very day can lead to a giant outcome in the future. However, since the world around us stops from this kind of a thought process it is important we nurture and raise such thoughts inside us. It is like working out on a daily basis to maintain fitness and shape. It does not happen in one day. Every day working out for 30 minutes and a good healthy diet can lead to a good physique within few months. Same is the scenario when we design our days.

Add a little color and a little brushstroke to each of your day. It soon fills up with vibrance and gives us an amazingly beautiful painting in the end. We fail in our lives because we feel rather the world makes us feel that we are no longer in control of our lives. It is not so.

We see great people, achievers and success all around us and think why we are not they. The fact is every one of us is gifted to reach the heights of success. The only difference between a really successful person and one who is not is that the former takes initiatives to take steps each day to shape up the future. The formula is really simple. Turn day’s efficiently into weeks, weeks to months, months to years and years to an entire lifetime.

Teenage years are the most stressful years of anyone’s life. Hormonal changes and other difficulties add to our never ending problems with our mind and body growth. It is also the time when boys and girls start noticing and getting conscious around each other. Teenage girls always develop their first crush in that age and they try everything they can to get noticed. It is usually that time that girls start applying make-up regularly. The trouble is at that age due to inexperience and some media influences girls tend to go overboard with their make-up. Teenage girls do not recognize what suits them and what does not at that early age. They need to have suitable guidance to make the right fashion and make up choices The trouble is applying too much make up makes you look a little clownish. The art of applying make-up is to enhance your good features and hide your trouble areas. Teenage girls always have to focus on certain points while applying make-up. Here are few tips to help improve your looks for the better.

  • Eyes all the way

A girl’s most important feature is her eyes. It is the eye that gets noticed first in someone’s face so pay all attention to it. The important thing is to highlight your eyes apply a dark color liner and always wear mascara. It is not really important to apply eye shadow everyday for every event. Unless it is a special event it is better to avoid eye shadow. Also never apply a bright lipstick with a very heavy eye make-up it tends to give a very unattractive appearance altogether.

  • The Acne problem

Acne is a usual difficulty that most teenage girls face. Almost all of these girls try to conceal it with a regular make-up using a foundation which is not always right. A foundation usually dims the natural glow of a person. A teenage girl has a very effective natural glow which needs to show through naturally. Concealer is always the best choice for these girls. Thee right concealer paired with moisturizer works wonders to hide the acne. Applying the Concealer right is quite a trick. Never rub it all over the skin with your hands take a little in one finger and apply it gently over the skin. Never circle the skin with concealer. Also if you suffer from a very serious case of acne problem you might have some skin allergy or issue you are not aware of consult a proper dermatologist to get it checked out properly.

  • Hair color and styling

There is nothing that is better than natural hair. You may feel coloring your hair will make you more attractive or trying or different new styles are better. Yet nothing can beat your natural hair if you maintain your hair well it will automatically start to look good. Buy the right Shampoo and always use a proper conditioner to go with it. It is always better to get your hair oiled up an hour before a wash. Also wash your hair at least 2 times a week. Use shampoos that suit your hair rather than go by suggestion. It is very important to know that all the Make at home style dyes are never a good choice. If you do decide to dye your hair consult a proper stylist and do it under supervision and not spoil your hair.

  • Don’t waste on cheap beauty products

It is always tough to get quality beauty products in teenage years as you will usually live in parent’s pocket money, but do not buy cheap and inexpensive products just to get them. It is better not to apply any make up than to apply make-up that might spoil your skin. If you do want to buy something take an advice of someone who has had experience.

The importance of reading habits to kids

0

Remember those days when kids where young they used to sit near their grandmother and listen to old tales. Sometimes some grannies or mothers used to read from thick books to the children to make them sleep or eat. Now people usually plunk their kids in front of the television or the computer to feed them. In the earlier days early mornings for most fathers and mothers used to begin with their newspapers, late night’s ended with books before bed.  With the advent of technology and the media people nowadays have lost their passion for reading.  All books have been replaced by tabs and all newspapers have been replaced by computers. The anticipation and the excitement of reading a new book is all but gone for many people. Reading is such an important hobby that the slow death of it is very saddening. Of course there are still a few faithful readers left but even those who read just pick up easy breezy reads that really do not require any mental capabilities to be applied on which just makes it a mindless read.  Kids hardly spend any time reading any books other than their school syllabus these days. There are so many other distractions that reading a book never comes as the first priority for elders let alone kids. Also watching Television and playing games require much less mental activity and seems to be far more stimulating than reading a book.  However if a kid discovers the pleasures of reading at a early age it can alter his entire life for the better.reading

Books stimulate and excite the mind. It opens the eyes to the world around us in a more fascinating way. Books can become a man’s best friend if you really read a good book well. There are plenty of good books out there but not enough readers. Though technology is sort of affecting the reading habits adversely the advent of kindle and other advancements have helped to bring in new readers to the community.  A good book is like a gift that keeps of giving. A book can lift someone’s sprit up and give him hope and promise in life. There is an immense need for parents to develop reading habits for their kids at a very early age. Here are a few tips on how to develop good reading habits to kids at early age.

  1. Read stories and short passages to him whenever there is time. Like when feeding and before going to sleep.
  2. Create a reading space for him to read when he is old enough. Tell him to read at least half an hour in that area daily reading something. The kid himself would develop a passion for reading then.
  3. Do not encourage him to read school books alone. Introduce him to the world of other books.
  4. Lead by example. The kid always learns from their parents so it is extremely important that you read in front of him.
  5. D0 not let the kid too much time before the television or playing video games. Have a fixed limit for these activities and stick to the limits.

Clear difference between successful and failure people

Clear difference between successful and failure people

Successful people to accept change.

The unsuccessful people are afraid. “Embrace Change is one of the hardest things a person can do. With the rapidly changing world and acceleration technology at a rapid pace, it is imperative that we embrace these changes and adapt, rather than fear, and then deny or hide them, he said. Successful people are able to.

Successful people talk about ideas.

People say, unfortunate. Instead of gossiping about people – gets now here- successful people discussing ideas. “The exchange of ideas with others to make them better”.

Successful people take responsibility for their failures.

Unsuccessful people blame others. Really successful executives and business experience ups and downs in his life and career. But always they take responsibility for their failures. Blaming others does not solve anything. “It’s just demeaning to others and nothing good comes of it.”

Successful people give all the credit to another of his victories.

Unsuccessful people accept all credits from others. That people have their moments to shine motivates them to work harder and therefore makes you look better as a leader or teammate.

Successful people want others to succeed.

People who succumb secretly hoping that others fail. “When you have a successful company with a group of people, you all right” . The most successful people why they do not wish to disappear; they want their colleagues to succeed and grow.

Successful people constantly learn.

Unusual people fly by the seat of his pants. The only way to grow as a person, a professional and a leader never stops learning. “It may be a step above its competitors and become more flexible, because you know more.”If you fly in the pants safety could extend to the possibility of preventing him from learning (and growing!).”

Other key differences: Successful people radiate joy, to share data and information, and read every day, while people exude anger unsuccessfully to save the data and information, and watch TV all day.

If you have interesting hobbies indulge yourself in it like reading a good book or playing a game or even some cooking if it pleases you. You can even invite some of your friends over for dinner or go out dancing as it can pep you up.
