We all like eating Pasta, if not all forms then at least some forms of Pasta. Though Pasta is an Italian dish, yet we can cook it in Indian ways. There are many shapes of Pasta so we have numerous recipes. You can cook Pasta dishes with whatever ingredients are available at home. If you can cook Pasta dishes yourself, then you can eat them whenever you want at your home. We can eat Pasta dishes for any meal. Some recipes of Pasta do not need too much time for cooking.
Corn Pasta
This is a lip-smacking dish of Pasta sauteed with sweet corn and spices. You can follow this recipe for all shapes of Pasta.
Ingredients –
- Pasta – 2 cups
- Sweet Corn – 1 cup
- Onion – Half
- Garlic – Few cloves
- Water – As needed for boiling Pasta
- Salt – According to taste
- Oil – As required for boiling and frying Pasta
- Maggi Masala e Magic – According to taste
- Cheese cube – 1
Method –
- For sweet corn, you can use either frozen sweet corn or take out corn from a maize. Boil the corn and let it cool. Chop onion, garlic and cheese finely.
- I used Maggi Masala e Magic powder as spice for this recipe. But you can use any masala powder for this. There are some Pasta masala powders available in market.
- Heat water in a pan and put little salt to it. When the water boils, put Pasta to it. Add little oil to it so that pasta does not stick to the pan.
- Cook till the pasta turns soft but do not overcook as it may break while frying. Strain the pasta from hot water, rinse it with cold water and keep aside.
- Heat a pan and put oil to it. The oil should be sufficient for frying all ingredients. Add onion and garlic to it. Fry till the raw smell disappears.
- Put corn to it. Then add salt and mix well. Put pasta, cheese and Maggi Masala e Magic to it as much as you want. Too much of this masala can make pasta dish very spicy.
- Cook till all the ingredients get mixed and masala coats pasta. Serve it hot.
Masala Pasta
This is a delicious dish of Pasta sauteed with vegetables, herbs and many spices. It has a spicy taste. You can follow this recipe for all shapes of Pasta.
Ingredients –
- Pasta – 2 cups
- Water – As needed for boiling Pasta
- Salt – According to taste
- Oil – As required for boiling and frying Pasta
- Onion – Half
- Garlic – Few cloves
- Ginger – 1-inch piece
- Tomato – 1
- Cheese cube – 1
- Vegetables – 1 cup
- Turmeric powder – Half teaspoon
- Chilli powder – Half teaspoon
- Cumin powder – Half teaspoon
- Coriander powder – Half teaspoon
- Pepper powder – Half teaspoon
- Garam masala – Half teaspoon
Method –
- You can use any vegetables of your choice. I had used carrot, beans and cabbage for this dish. You can also use capsicum, corn, spring onion and peas for this dish.
- Chop the vegetables, onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and cheese finely.
- Heat water in a pan and put little salt to it. When the water boils, put Pasta to it. Add little oil to it so that pasta does not stick to the pan.
- Cook till the pasta turns soft but do not overcook as it may break while frying. Strain the pasta from hot water, rinse it with cold water and keep aside.

- Then put tomato and fry well. Cook till the tomato turns mushy.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and garam masala to it. Mix very well and add little water so that all the spices and herbs get mixed properly.
- Put vegetables to it and fry. Cover the pan and simmer for few minutes. Then put pasta and cheese to it.
- Cook till all the ingredients get mixed and masala coats pasta. Serve it hot.
One Pot Pasta
This is a tasty dish of Pasta sauteed with herbs and spices. All the ingredients of this recipe are cooked in the same pan. You can follow this recipe for all shapes of Pasta.
Ingredients –
- Pasta – 2 cups
- Onion – Half
- Garlic – Few cloves
- Water – 4 cups
- Tomato – 1
- Cheese cube – 1
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Mint leaves – 1 tablespoon
- Pepper powder –1 teaspoon
- Maggi Masala e Magic – According to taste
- Salt – According to taste
Method –
- Chop onion, garlic, tomato and cheese finely. I used Maggi Masala e Magic powder as spice for this recipe. But you can use any masala powder for this.
- Heat a pan and put oil to it. Add onion and garlic to it. Fry till the raw smell disappears. Then put tomato and fry well. Cook till the tomato turns mushy.
- Add salt, mint leaves, pepper powder and Maggi Masala e Magic to it. Mix well. Then add water, pasta and cheese to it.
- Cover the pan. After some time, check whether the pasta has cooked or not. If it has not cooked, then cover for some more time.
- Remove cover and cook for few minutes till all the ingredients mix properly and water gets reduced. Serve it hot.
Fusilli Tomatina
This is an appetizing dish of Pasta sauteed with tomatoes and spices. It has a tangy taste. You can follow this recipe for only Fusilli shape of Pasta.
Ingredients –
- Pasta – 2 cups
- Water – As needed for boiling Pasta
- Salt – According to taste
- Oil – As required for boiling and frying Pasta
- Tomato – 2
- Chilli – 1
- Garlic – Few cloves
- Onion – Half
- Tomato ketchup – 2 tablespoons
- Cheese cube – 1
Method –
- Chop onion, garlic, chilli, tomato and cheese finely.
- Heat water in a pan and put little salt to it. When the water boils, put pasta to it. Add little oil to it so that pasta does not stick to the pan.
- Cook till the pasta turns soft but do not overcook as it may break while frying. Strain the pasta from hot water, rinse it with cold water and keep aside.
- Heat a pan and put oil to it. The oil should be sufficient for frying all ingredients. Add onion, chilli and garlic to it. Fry till the raw smell disappears.
- Then put tomato, salt and fry well. Cook till the tomato turns mushy. Add pasta and mix very well.
- Then put tomato ketchup and cheese to it. Cover the pan and simmer for few minutes. Remove cover and check the consistency. You may add little water to it.
- Cook till all the ingredients get mixed and masala coats pasta. Serve it hot.
