Also, you can share your previous accomplishments. Presenting them with some examples is advised. By doing this you can make your ground strong.

The interviewer wants to be sure that the candidate is well aware of what the company wants. Also, he or she is capable of meeting all the requirements of the same. This question is asked to see if the particular candidate is a good fit for them or not.

But in this way, only you can get what you want. If you present a higher range it is very much clear that the interviewer will decrease and confirm the range you wanted. Good in-depth research is required for facing this situation.
