“Dream Girl” is an Indian Hindi film which is a full pack dhamaka of total entertainment and sensible comedy senses of humor which is directed by Raaj Shandilyaa under the big banner “Balaji Motion Pictures” with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The main look blurb of the film was discharged on 3 December 2018. It displayed Ayushmann Khurrana in a sari. On 12 August authority trailer of the film was propelled by Balaji Motion Pictures. The film was discharged dramatically on 13 September 2019.
It is said that “when God gives, a roof breaks” and that has been true about actor Ayushman Khurana. His specialty in a different and powerful role has been a success, and he has already succeeded in most of his films such as “Bareilly Ki Barfi”, “Shubh Mangal Sawdhan “, “Andhadhund” and the recent “Article 15”. In the upcoming “Dream Girl” movie, he plays the role of Karan Singh. He has entertained the audience with the voice of the girl. Other actors have also given their roles a fair deal.
Annu Kapoor has played the role of Karan Singh’s father. He is shown to be highly educated. Yet he is shown as unemployed youth. He has nothing to do. But from a young age, he had a special passion for making a girl’s voice. That is why he played the role of Radha and Sita in Ramlila and Krishnilalla well. His father would have taken some debt for the shop. His father was irritated because Karan was unemployed.
On the other hand, Karan goes to a small call center for a job. The joke is that he gets a job but he can talk to the customer in the voice of the girl.
Taking into account the father’s debt concerns and other financial difficulties, he accepts the job. There he used to talk to a customer by the name of Pooja. The sound of worship was going to make everyone fall in love. But he hides this thing from everyone. But one of his close friends, Smiley (Manjyot Singh), knows this.
His love for his girl’s voice speaks to the policeman Rajpal (Vijay Raj), Kishore Toto (Raj Bhansali) and Mahendra (Abhishek Banerjee), who is deeply in love with him. And one more joke is that Karan’s true love is on maahi. Nusrat Bharuch has played the role of maahi.
Even Karan never told her that he knew how to make a girl’s melody voice. So this is how the movie gets confused and we get to see Karan’s confusion while watching it all. Its Raj Shandilya is very well directed the film.
In particular, the two actors Anu Kapoor and Vijay Raj have entertained the audience very well. He has made a lot of sense in the film due to his excellent role. The heroine has done very few roles in the film but she has made a mark of quality acting. The dialogues in the film are striking. Also, songs by Mit Brothers, “Radhe Radhe” and “Dil Ka Telephone” have become very popular.
The duration of the film has been extended a bit and before the interval, the film looks a bit boring. But after the interval it becomes very exciting to watch the movie.
Let’s talk a little bit about the director. Raj Shandilya is actually a writer. He is known as a comedy writer. He has written comedy Hindi program scripts such as “comedy circus” and “Kapil Sharma show”. In the meantime, he has also written some Hindi films. Raj Shandilya has also written the recent movie “Jabariya Jodi”.
Not only does he show the world that Raj Shandilya is a great writer, but he can also act as a good director in a film, a beautiful example of which is seen in this film. While entertaining, he has also tried to convey a social message to the film’s climax.
Because of social media, man is so engrossed in his own world that he is living a lonely life. He has almost always stopped expressing his problems and feelings. In this case, the important message he spread through this film is that a man should communicate with his family and remove his loneliness.
Another innovative role has been added to Ayushmann’s career. Along with Ayushman Khurana, the film has become more entertaining with the performances of actors like Annu Kapoor, Nusrat Bharucha, Manjyot Singh, and Vijay Raj. His playfulness and sarcasm are two things that make his actions stand out in the film. So the audience is enjoying watching the “Dream Girl” movie.
The movie has no connection with Hema Malini’s old “Dream Girl” movie. Many people have the misconception that this movie is probably a remake of the old “Dream Girl” movie, but it’s not.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl will hit the screens this Friday. We reveal to you why the National Award-winning actor is the best decision for the film.
Flashback to Ayushmann Khurrana‘s past. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut in 2012 with Vicky Donor, spent years behind mic prior to entering the film industry. After completing his post-graduation in journalism, Ayushmann worked as a radio jockey (RJ) in New Delhi.
The actor hosted a program called Big Chai – Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann while with the channel.
Voice modulation was part of his job. Little did he know then that many years later, his skill of imitating different characters for radio listeners would find a place in a Bollywood film (“Dream Girl”). It so happened that he got to do 25 percent of his dialogues in Dream Girl in the voice of a woman, and his career background turned out to be a cherry on the cake.
Ayushmann Khurrana has mostly chosen scripts that are unconventional, entertaining and usually have a message. Right from his first film, Vicky Donor. That is why he is now the winner of the coveted Best Actor National Award for Sriram Raghavan’s 2018 film Andhadhun.
Never have we seen an actor who is this comfortable in playing a woman both on-screen and off it. Unless you are living under a rock, you will have seen how comfortable Ayushmann is (or not) in a saree at the promotions of “Dream Girl”, right from the trailer launch in Mumbai.
Ekta Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha, and Raaj Shaandilyaa were additionally present alongside Ayushmann, yet it was this Dream Boy who captured everyone’s attention.
As promising as the upcoming film “Dream Girl” looks from the trailer, it seems that the actor will not only entertain the audience but will also leave an impression on their minds.
Before Ayushmann, many male actors in Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan (Lawaris), Riteish Deshmukh (Apna Sapna Money Money), Saif Ali Khan (Humshakals), Akshay Kumar (Khiladi), Aamir Khan (Baazi), Shreyas Talpade (Golmaal Returns) and Kamal Hassan (Chachi 420), have tried cross-dressing for their roles in films in the past.
Makers of “Dream Girl” organized a special screening of the film in Mumbai yesterday (September 11). The screening was gone to by numerous Bollywood big names, including Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Ayushmann’s brother Aparshakti Khurana also attended the screening.
Aparshakti adored “Dream Girl” and Ayushmann’s presentation in the film. He took to Instagram to state the same. He wrote, “Conviction is his middle name. I totally loved the film. Congratulations to the entire team. Incidentally, my mother constantly needed a girl, however, she had two dreadful young men. Actually one nasty and one, not so nasty. Anyway, I think Mumma will be really happy to see @ayushmannk bhaiya as pooja. Meet the #DreamGirl tomorrow #13KoTeri @balajimotionpictures @writerraj @ektaravikapoor @ruchikaakapoor @nushratbharucha @oyemanjot.”
“Dream Girl” is getting rave reviews from all corners. Ayushmann has proved once again that he has a knack for offbeat scripts with “Dream Girl”. He is playing the role of a guy who can talk in a girl’s voice in the film. Ayushmann’s character in “Dream Girl” is called Pooja.
Ayushmann also took to Instagram to share a picture with Tahira. He captioned the picture with a love-filled note. He wrote, “With my #Dreamgirl @tahirakashyap.”
“Dream Girl”, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana ahead of the pack job, is a snicker revolt. Had Dream Girl been an Anurag Kashyap film, the dingy friendship call center hidden away in the back of an electronics shop in a small town would have been lit up with neon lights. The ladies luring men on telephone calls would have been energetic and alluring.
The lonely men craving for attention and more would have been lusting behind women on the other side of the receiver. The narrative would have been complex and intense to the point of being enigmatic. But this is a Raaj Shaandilyaa film a clean, hilarious and unidimensional take on friendship call centers.
Raaj Shaandilyaa’s “Dream Girl” is an absolute satire with enormous touches of clever jokes. But it is this very humor that plays the biggest hindrance in the development of the story. Regardless of an intriguing reason, Dream Girl neglects to go past the fundamental thought. The 137-minute film appears to be a long funny production sans a storyline.
This comedy of blunders begins a promising note however loses its sheen in the subsequent half. With too many plot twists, a variety of characters squeezed in and a somber climax, “Dream Girl” fails to live up to its hype.
However, Ayushmann Khurrana and Annu Kapoor make up for it with their brilliant performances; reminiscent of Vicky Donor. Ayushmann by and by demonstrates that he can draw off any job with elan. He plays the character to flawlessness, getting the subtleties right. Annu Kapoor’s splendid comic planning makes “Dream Girl” an engaging watch.
His change from a forlorn and displeased dad to a lovelorn aashiq is an outright virtuoso. Vijay Raaz as an idyllic policewala in a beset0 marriage is great.
With a runtime of 137 minutes, Raaj Shaandilyaa keeps the film fresh and engaging. But somewhere in between all the laughter, the subject loses its fizz. The film’s music is peppy and works well with the script. The music of the film is composed by Meet Bros while lyrics are by Kumaar and Shabbir Ahmed.
Raaj Shaandilyaa merits credit for carrying something new to the table. In any case, his delay to dive further into the subject makes it scoreless on the report card. If you are looking for a light-hearted comedy this weekend, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl should definitely be on your list.
“Dream Girl” has the opening day accumulation of ₹10.05 crore, which is the most astounding first-day gathering for any Khurrana film discharged up until this point. what’s the more, second-day accumulation of ₹16.42 crore, while the third-day gathering was ₹18.10 crore, taking its all-out opening end of the week accumulation to ₹44.57 crores in India. Exchange expert and critic Taran Adarsh gave the movie four stars out of five, named it “Champ” and adulated the exhibition of Ayushmann Khurrana, Annu Kapoor and the heading of Raaj Shaandilyaa. He expressed, “All outperformer with spots of amusingness… Decorated with clever lines, heading hits the correct harmony.”
Charu Thakur of India Today gave the film three stars out of five, noticed that “Dream Girl” was an unmitigated satire with clever jokes and jokes, which made it a long funny production sans a storyline. She concurred with Taran in praising the performance of Khurrana and Kapoor.
The star has delivered four back to back hits, and this year he delivered two big blockbusters namely ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Badhaai Ho’. He has single-handedly delivered Rs 300 crore worldwide box-office this year and has cemented his place as the face of entertaining content cinema that also does great business.
“Of course, Ayushmann was the first name that came to my mind when I finished writing the story of ”Dream Girl”. I think he is one of the entertainers with the capacity to draw off any character that manages sexual orientation intricacy, balance or even a voice against poisonous manliness,” Shaandilya told.
