Scholarship programs offered by UK government to international students
Chevening scholarship program
Chevening Scholarships, the global scholarship program of the UK government, is awarded to outstanding scholars from all over the world who are eligible for Chevening. Typically, awards are for a Master’s degree of one year. Most Chevening Scholarships cover tuition fees, a fixed rate living allowance (for one individual), an economy class return airfare to the United Kingdom, and additional grants to cover essential expenses.
Commonwealth scholarship program
The Commonwealth Scholarships are aimed at students from developing Commonwealth countries who want to pursue the UK Master’s study. The UK Department for International Development (DFID) is funding these scholarships. Each scholarship provides airfare, tuition and exam fees, personal maintenance allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), initial arrival allowance, among others.
Scholarship programs offered by different UK universities to foreign students
Gates Cambridge University
Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from any non-UK country to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at Cambridge University. The full study cost at Cambridge is covered by a Gates Cambridge Scholarship. It also provides additional funding, which is discretionary.
Oxford university scholarships
The Clarendon Scholarship Fund is a prestigious graduate scheme offering eligible graduate applicants (including international students) at the University of Oxford around 140 new scholarships each year. Clarendon Scholarships are awarded at the University of Oxford on the basis of academic excellence and potential across all graduate subjects. The scholarships cover full tuition fees and college fees as well as a generous living expense grant.
Edinburgh global research scholarships
The University of Edinburgh will offer 30 scholarships in any field of study offered by the University to outstanding overseas students who intend to pursue a PhD Research Program. Each scholarship covers the difference between a UK / EU graduate’s tuition fee and an overseas graduate’s fee. The awards do not cover expenses for maintenance.
Denny’s Holland scholarship program at university of London
The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country who would not be able to secure the necessary funding to study at University College London (UCL) without the support of the scholarship and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union. The scholarship is worth £ 9,000 per year and scholars may choose to cover fees using all or part of the scholarship.
University of Sussex chancellor scholarship programs
International scholarships from the University of Sussex Chancellor are available in the majority of Sussex Schools. These are awarded on the basis of academic performance and potential to non-EU international students who have applied for and have been offered a place at the University of Sussex for eligible full-time postgraduate degrees. The scholarship is offered for one year and is 50% off international student tuition fee.
Bristol university think big scholarship
In 2019, Bristol University will invest £ 500,000 to help the best and most brilliant international students arrive at Bristol University. Think Big Undergraduate bonds and Think Big Big Postgraduate bonds are available from 2019 for courses. The prizes vary from £ 5,000 to £ 20,000, respectively.
University of West London scholarship program
The International Scholarship for Ambassadors recognizes outstanding students wishing to complete their studies at the University of London, as well as providing financial aid. The scholars will serve the University of West London as international ambassadors. Up to 50 scholarships are available for up to £ 5,000.
University of west England scholarship program
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £100,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship wherein the recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments. The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for one academic year.
Steffield hallam university scholarships
Transform combined bonds will allow students to study at a full-time postgraduate or undergraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University from the international and European Union (not from the United Kingdom). For postgraduate courses and each year of undergraduate degrees, a half-tax waiver (50 percent) is available.
University of Westminster scholarship program for undergraduates
Westminster International Scholarships are the most competitive university programs open to students from developing and middle-income countries from international backgrounds, who wish to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at Westminster University. The bonds cover all exemptions from tuition fees, accommodation expenses and living expenses and flights to and from London.
Warwick chancellor’s scholarship programs
Around twenty-five international fellowships are awarded to the leading international PhD candidates every year by the Warwick Graduate School. The bursaries are available for pupils of all nationalities and for all Warwick disciplines. The grants include the full payment of tuition fees from abroad and the maintenance scholarship.
The developing solutions scholarship programs
Developing Solutions Scholarships are intended for international students from Africa, India and one of the Commonwealth’s developing countries who want to study a Masters degree in the development of their home country at University of Nottingham. 105 bursaries are awarded annually—30 bursaries cover the entire tuition fee and 75 are awarded for 50 per cent of their tuition fee.
