But that is not all he is known for and much more remains to be told of him on his 129th birth anniversary. Let’s have a glance at them, furnished on this page.

Remembering S.Ramanujan, The Man Who Knew Infinity

He was a child prodigy. His love and devotion to his subject made him mastered the book on advanced trigonometry at an early age of 13. He loved nothing but mathematics, the main reason why he never had a formal degree until the time when he was awarded a Ph.D. in Mathematics at Cambridge.

He lived in abject poverty and remained plagued with health problems throughout his life. Although his contributions made are unmatched and unparalleled, his untimely death at the age of 32, had created a space that could never be filled by anyone else. He remains a figure of indescribable intelligence and undoubted erudition.

He was not just a great mathematician whose theories made a major breakthrough in the field of mathematics but he was way more than that. Ramanujan, guided purely by his intuitions, lived his life on principles.  He was a fervent believer in faith, quite unfounded among his class. His unshakeable belief in gods was his constant source of inspiration of the unparalleled amount of knowledge he had. He had a divine connection of his work with the God and kept on emphasizing that an equation for him has no meaning unless it expresses a thought of God.
