Many universities in Canada exempt the need of IELTS for admission of International students. Canadian Embassy never had the IELTS requirement.
2. Completion of Online English language course at the university
By appearing for online English language course, the international student can skip the need of appearing for IELTS examination. The online courses are much easier than IELTS and has no standard required to pass with specific score like in IELTS. Students can easily get admission by showing the online English language course scores.
3. Apply and get the English Proficiency Certificate for Canada
It is easier for the International students to get English proficiency Certificate for Canada. The candidate can ask for the certificate from his/her previous school, if he/she has studied all the subjects in the English language in the past. For the candidates whose schooling has been done in English medium can acquire certificate and need not appear for IELTS procedure.

- Brock University : offers Brock Intensive English Language Program for the candidates. For candidates having an International Baccalaureate diploma in English need not give IELTS exam.
- University of Saskatchewan – offers their own English Language Training Program.
- Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador – they accept the proofs of English proficiency. The university also offers online learning class for English.
- Cambrian College accesses the speaking and writing skills of the international candidates. No expensive certifications are needed for studying English proficiency exam.

- Seneca College, Toronto
- Okanagan College
These universities mentioned above do not require IELTS to Study in Canada for International Students.
To get admission, some Universities demand the English Proficiency letter from the candidates. This letter is intended to show that the candidate has completed studies where medium of instruction was English. Some universities also offer English courses prior to actual course.
