Koustab Majumdar currently associated with Ramakrishna Mission Vivekanada Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI, Ranchi) as doctoral scholar. His doctoral research focuses on ecoliteracy and livelihood among the tribals of Eastern India. He pursued his M.Phil. from TISS, Mumbai. He has published several research articles in reputed journals and book chapters. His research interests include agrarian studies, eco-literacy, child-rights, resource politics, human displacements.
