Mission Mars

The research going on planet Mars is going at very high speed. Mars is also called as Red Planet. Scientists claimed that there would be life possible on Mars. NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover, shown in this artist’s rendering, touched down on the planet on August 6, 2012. A year is a very long time on Mars 687 days.

According to NASA, a vessel with humans on it would take roughly 6 months to travel to Mars and another six months to travel back from Mars. Astronauts would have to stay at least 18-20 months on Mars before the planets re-align for a return trip. In all, the mission would take roughly 2 1/2 years. NASA’s Curiosity rover can attest that it’s enough time for some unexpected life changes.Scientists have found signs of flowing water on Mars and estimate that the Martian Pebbles travelled roughly 50 km from their source supports the idea that Mars once had an extensive river system and conditions that could harbor life.

Using available images of pebbles on Mars from the Curiosity rover mission they traced their contours and performed an analysis on the samples. The results suggested that the pebbles had lost approximately 20 percent of their volume. Thousands of years ago Aristotle pondered the question of pebbles on the beach and how they become rounded. Going further calculations to the basalt material found on Mars scientists have arrived at the calculation that the pebbles had travelled an estimated 50 km from their source. This study will had opened up for a new world of possibilities for human existence.

Not only the existence of water and pebbles being travelling, scientists have already found a Giant Buddha statue on Mars. They have got few images from the rover. The photo alone is        enough to convince the United Nations that intelligent once life existed on Mars. NASA doesn’t want anyone to know the truth because they will be asked to share the information and technology that they have found.

Other things recently spotted on the Red Planet include a floating spoon, a space crab and a Martian version of Stonehenge. NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover has passed up a potential drilling target and instead resumed the long trek to huge Mount Sharp which has long been its ultimate destination.
