The Lap Dog Pomeranians

Have you ever looked into the eyes of a canine? Human are often referred to as the superior species for their speaking ability. Communication is one of the most important aspects of the world. Or is it the other way round? Without communication and interaction, would the modern world ever come into being? Let’s us not get into a hen-before-or-egg-before argument. Let us agree upon sealing the deal with the fact that they are both complementary to each other. Any which way, coming back to the main track, dogs don’t really speak but they definitely communicate.

Being a dog lover and a dog owner myself, I have always been close to those four-legged angels. Now that I have the opportunity to voice my thoughts, I clicked with an idea – Why don’t I talk about my favorite topic? I had always been doing researches on canines, their behavioral pattern, their psychology, do’s and don’ts’ and I would be the happiest person if I can jot down the basics of knowledge that every dog-lover should have.

I would like to start with Pomeranians. Appealing eyes, wet nose, furry balls and showcase-worthy tails – absolute combination to leave us with the utter feeling to touch. Petting pomeranians is one of the best feeling you will ever have, you need to trust me when I say that.

Pomeranians, also known as Poms or Pompoms had their origins in Pomerania, Poland – very evident from the name that they got. These pups are small and handy, which makes them count in the category of Toy Dogs. They are basically a species of the Spitz, known as Dwarf Spitz; descendants of the German Spitz.

These dogs are healthy and sturdy with minimal amount of diseases if taken good care of. One of the most important disease in Pompoms is the “Black Skin Disease” where the skin of the dogs turn black and loose hair. It is a genetic disease. Along with it, two other prominent health issues in them are, Luxating Patella and Tracheal Collapse. In the former, the canine will be unable to sit for the locking tendency of the knee with the feet. And in the second, the dog suffers from cough for the cutting short of air due to various reasons. Immediate medical care is recommended in either case.

In order to maintain a good health of your Pomeranian, daily exercise is a must. Little walks or play time will keep the dog physically and mentally hearty. Grooming of their coat on daily basis, is also one of the very important thing to be taken care of for the owner. Tangling and knotting of their fur, if not properly taken care of, is not an unknown case. It is the double coat of the Pompoms that demand a lot of attention. Trimming of their fur after a regular interval is also not a bad idea.

Pomeranians are very intelligent dogs and have a defensive character. They are well aware of their arena and are very particular about protecting it. Any unknown occurance will have the dog on all four legs. They are excellent watch dogs and have a tendency to bark. Being extrovert, they enjoy being the centre of aattraction. Training in the early years of the pup is important for they can be a bit dominant and stubborn if not properly trained. Regular vaccines are musts.

The breed gained a lot of popularity in the 18th century and thenceforth, due to the royal possessions of the dog. Queen Victoria’s favorite dog was a red color little pomeranian which became a trend. The smaller dogs gained importance and the breeders started breeding the smaller dogs which resulted in the 50% decrease in the size of the Pompoms during the lifetime of Queen Victoria herself.

In today’s world, Pomeranians are one of the most wanted dogs in the world, especially in the US. The general lifespan of the dogs are between 12-16 years. Thus, you can expect a friend for over a decade or two, if you are lucky enough.

That is it for today. I will be back with another article on another breed. Till then, stay tuned and don’t forget to let your furry balls lick you off.

Toodles. 🙂

beauty myth

Girls usually fall for a good lip balm or kohl, but girls also fall for these beauty fables, We get to know about them everywhere, from the ”Aunties” , our mums, twitterati, etc. But why don’t we think about them again, because some myths are just myths. Here we are to break those 10 myths.

Shaving will make your hair grow thicker

Eww! That’s not true at all. We all think that our hair grows back thicker every time we shave them , Well the reason is that when we shave our hair, they just appear shorter, and hence more stubbly than they actually are! Therefore, we should not give more gaps between our shaving days.

Wag your mascara brush for smooth application

Pumping the tube won’t help at all, we think we are picking up more product but by wagging more air is being let into the tube, leading it to dry out sooner than it should. This leads to dry lashes and bacteria in the tube. Rather, we should swirl the brush around the tube to collect more product.

Using hit tools, less often doesn’t affect your hair much

Reserving our hair for those heat styling tools than usual in summers can fetch some trouble for your hair. Keep in mind that, Regardless how less or how often you use these styling tools, you should be using a protect ant spray to prevent hair damage.

Once your blush shatters after dropping it, it’s done.
Whenever your makeup is shattered, chi lax ladies! All you need to do is pour rubbing alcohol into the broken compact or container and gently mix until the makeup turns muddy. Wait for it to dry and Wallah! Your makeup is new again.

Wearing makeup everyday can be harmful!

Yes, wearing a lot of makeup can be cumbersome for the skin on your face, wearing makeup daily and regularly causes no harm. This will not do damage, but the real damage is done by us, that is, by not removing it and keeping it overnight. This will not only damage it, and make even worse.

You should not change your shampoo often

While we agree, changing hair products often is necessary and every once in a while. If your hair  is feeling flat, dry or damaged after continued use of one particular shampoo, it’s not shampoo’s fault. Most of the times, the problem is due to the products that we use for our hair, We must try a clarifying shampoo once every week.

Certain hair products can eliminate split ends

These are irreversible, we cannot remove then completely. Oils and serums , these are notorious for improving the situation, while they can worsen it completely, but the real remedy for split ends are haircuts.

Nail filing can be any direction

You cannot always file your nails in the same direction, this leads to allowing your nails to grow faster and longer. Filing from both directions on one nail can lead to breakage and peeling of your nail.

SEXUAL HARRASMENT AT WORKPLACE: THE SILENT CRY OF WOMEN IN INDIA

0
Sexual Harassment

Women are the pride of our country. They are seen as the fulcrum of our society yet till date are subjugated when it comes to the norm of gender equality. Crimes against women is nothing new in the contemporary statecraft. The most dominant being sexual offences against women, primary of such offences being sexual harassment of women at workplace.

A safe workplace is therefore a woman’s legal right. The Constitutional doctrine of equality and personal liberty is contained in Articles 14, 15 and 21 of the Indian Constitution. These articles promulgate that a person has to be given the right to equal protection under the law, to live a life free from discrimination on any ground and to protection of life and personal liberty.

This is further reinforced by the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), which was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1979 and which is ratified by India. Often pronounced as an international bill of rights for women, it calls for the equality of women and men in expressions of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural and civil spheres.

Sexual harassment therefore comes across as a gross violation of human and fundamental rights. For elevating the position of woman from the misery of sexual harassment the legislation has brought about the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. This is an important piece of legislation that has come to the rescue of several women across the country.

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013: An endeavor of the legislature to eradicate sexual harassment

Section 3(1) of the aforementioned act clearly promulgates that no woman is to be subjected to sexual harassment at workplace. The act includes all women whether engaged directly or through an agent including a contractor, with or without the knowledge of the principal employer are to be included under the ambit of aggrieved women as per the provisions of the act.

It further makes provision for women working for remuneration, on a voluntary basis or otherwise. Their terms of employment could be express or implied. The act goes on to say that aggrieved woman would also include a co-worker, a contract worker, probationer, trainee, apprentice, or called by any other such name. The Act also covers a woman, who is working in a dwelling place or house. The act also defines the term “workplace” and “employer” exhaustively to bring greater areas under its ambit.

Insight into Sexual Harassment and its ingredients

The term “Sexual Harassment” includes anyone or more of the following unwelcome acts or behaviour (whether directly or by implication), namely:

  • Physical contact or advances;
  • A  demand or request for sexual favours;
  • Making sexually coloured remarks;
  • Showing pornography;
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature

Thus, the intent of the legislature is quite evident here, where they have broadened the horizon of the definition of sexual harassment for benefiting the victim of the aforementioned act.

Redressal Mechanism for an aggrieved woman under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

The provisions of the act also provides helpful information on who can complain, to whom, and what a complaint should contain. It also gives information and lays out the steps involved when a complaint has reached the Complaints Committee, in terms of the process, findings and recommendations.

Contents of the complaint: The written complaint should predominantly contain the following information:-

  • A description of each incident(s).
  • It should include all the relevant dates, timings and locations;
  • Name of the respondent(s); and
  • The working relationship between the parties.
  • A person designated to manage the workplace sexual harassment complaint is required to provide assistance in writing of the complaint if the complainant seeks it for any reason.

Rights of the Complainant: The act also recognizes the following rights of the complainants:-

  • An empathetic attitude from the Complaints Committee so that she can state her grievance in a fearless environment
  • A copy of the statement along with all the evidence and a list of witnesses submitted by the respondent
  • Keeping her identity confidential throughout the process
  • Support, in lodging FIR in case she chooses to lodge criminal proceedings
  • In case of fear of intimidation from the respondent, her statement can be recorded in absence of the respondent
  • Right to appeal, in case, not satisfied with the recommendations/findings of the Complaints Committee

Rights of the Respondent: The act also recognizes the following rights of the respondents:-

  • A patient hearing to present his case in a non-biased manner
  • A copy of the statement along with all the evidence and a list of witnesses submitted by the complainant
  • Keeping his identity confidential throughout the process
  • Right to appeal in case not satisfied with the recommendations/findings of the Complaints Committee

The Sexual Harassment Complaint Process: The complaint process incorporates several stages, these stages are listed below:-

Receipt of the complaint. This step is the preliminary step. It further includes the following:

  • Receiving and acknowledging the complaint,
  • Meeting and talking to the complainant to explore the options for formal and informal resolution,
  • Informal mechanism
  • Formal mechanism
  • Respondent and response

Planning Carefully: This step is the preliminary step. It further includes the following:

  • Preparing the file and
  • Consideration

Interviews: This step is the preliminary step. It further includes the following:

  • Preparing an interview plan for the hearing : Complainant , Witness and Respondent
  • Assessing the completeness of the information collected

Reasoning: This step is the preliminary step. It further includes the following:

  • Analyzing and assessing the information gathered during the enquiry
  • Creating a timeline to help establish the sequence of events related to the complaints
  • Comparing similarities and differences with each of the statements made by the interviewees.

Findings and Recommendations: This step is the preliminary step. It further includes the following:

  • Jotting down all the relevant findings and
  • Pitching forth all the noteworthy recommendations

Reporting: The last stage involved includes the drafting of the written report.

In the contemporary times the workplace sexual harassment can no longer be dismissed as some moral transgression. This is because it is a heinous offence and it’s high time that women are uplifted from this pitiable condition and are allowed to fight for what is their right.

The Vishaka Guidelines has raised that bar, when for the first time it recognized that each incident of sexual harassment is to be interpreted as a gross a violation of the fundamental right to equality. That notion has found its way into the aforementioned Act, which promotes the right of women as citizens to a workplace free of the cruelty of sexual harassment.

Complaints Committees at all workplaces are now charged with the additional role to ensure that the right remains intact, through a fair, informed, user-friendly process of redress. Prioritizing prevention and establishing an adequate redress mechanism, which comprises of 50 per cent women, a woman chair and an external third party expert, is India’s innovative model in responding to working women’s experience of sexual harassment.

It is the first step and there is still a long way in eradicating this menace completely. Assuming adequate changes follow, in both law and practice to meet global benchmarks, that model can evolve into one of the best practice that the country has seen till date. To get there, workplaces in India today, must rise to the requirement of promoting gender equality and recognizing women not merely as a sex object but as a human-being having integrity and dignity.

0
unnamed

Two best  desktop creators  have shown their  capability   of computing for this year Microsoft’s – Windows 10 (Anniversary edition) and Macintosh- Sierra these  OS  are out for  developers. We(developers) already know  lot of stuff about these both gorgeous Operating System.

We are giving the review for the key specs about these both finest creations  We’ve compared these both   operating systems  to  our assets as per our knowledge   and as  they stand today, and how the companies promise they will evolve in this year’s updates, you can choose the best OS for you.

INTERFACE

Windows 10’s spanking new design breathed new life to Microsoft  and it changed almost everything compared to it’s last  version where as coming to Mac’s Sierra(10.12) is  visually similar to it’s last OS X EI Captain(10.11) which was similar to the previous year’s  Yosemite(10.10) the trodden visuals were from  (10.10)  most of us didn’t like that but we got used to that. The one notable thing Mac made this year, which is borrowed from the ipad is Picture-in-Picture video While few users would call their Mac interface bad.                                                                                                                                            Microsoft   offers a built-in tablet mode  and the best thing the start menu is back with adjustable tiles. Now Microsoft is more colourful and much beautiful. Since Microsoft designed this version for wide range of touch-targets, we can use this operating system on more devices. Winner: Microsoft

Multitasking

Now a days no one is working with the single application and everyone want to do more at once both MacOS and Windows 10 offer different desktops windows lets you work more at once. Year ago Macintosh added a two app split at once but windows multiples it two times windows gives four at time it works great when you have a large display. Winner: Microsoft Cortana vs Siri Apple has caught up with Microsoft ,which dropped cortana onto personal computers with the windows 10(original) apple brought personal assistant Siri to Mac these both are offer on dashboards for their assistants who can see the result . These both can answer knotty questions. Siri can used in working apps as dropdown and this can unlock mac with other ios device where as windows doesn’t support these both features. Winner: Apple

SPECIAL FEATURE

Cortana vs Siri

unnamed2

Microsoft introduced a new feature called INK which can change your dirty writing with finger or stylus into text notes while MacOS Sierra, Mac’S stunning new feature is Optimised Storage, which will store files we don’t often access on Apple’s iCloud servers . This feature can free up 260GB on a 500GB hard drive. Macintosh users will be eagerly waiting for sierra to add this feature and free up their storage without loosing data and apple added another feature which can quickly turn photos into slide show.Winner: Apple

Browsing

The extensions provided to edge by Microsoft compared to Apple’s Safari The biggest change happening on either platform is that Microsoft’s Edge browser will finally get extensions in Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. Unfortunately, we don’t know how many it will get, and if app development for Windows 10 is any indicator. For now edge cant beat the smooth surfing of Safari. Edge forces you to get into tab but Safari doesn’t. Phone integration- Apple Inc. produces both iphone and Mac so it has a chance to combine both phone and desktop to work to gather at great manner.  Winner: Apple

Messaging is being introduced to Microsoft with windows 10 anniversary edition the ability to message through your phone and pc and it can’t take calls which Apple can do. We are looking forward for the universal keyboard by which we copy text from one device and paste on other . Apple is introducing AUTO-Unlock with new sierra . We can unlock our Mac in instance with apple watch and we can use Apple- pay on Mac using touch id in iphone. We all have been there. We all get scared of the failures, the expectations we cannot fulfill, the exams we cannot clear. Getting rejected for your dream job even when you reached the last round.

It gets tough to keep going, when good things just don’t seem to happen with you.

You get tired, you feel helpless. we all do feel the same, happens to the best of us

But you know what, it’s okay we are only humans.

You get tired when things don’t seem to work.

No matter how hard you try, the promotion you have been working so hard might slip off your hand.

The next morning you just don’t feel like going g to work. you might be feeling that may be you are not good enough, may be you didn’t deserve this.

But sometimes, it happens that you deserve things but still don’t get it and that’s okay. It’s not the end of your life.

It’s okay to feel like giving up. Just breathe, certain things take time. Let the future unfold in its own way.

And no matter how cliche this sounds, its the biggest truth of life.” Just live in the moment, let your small success makes you happy, give yourself a pat on back for completing that chapter, or for reaching that last round of interview.

No matter how hard you have hit the rock bottom, you are going to bounce back.

So when you feel like giving up, take a pause. Do things that make you happy. pull up your socks and get ready to try again.

Make small goals, and don’t forget to appreciate yourself for achieving them.

And keep reminding yourself, nothing is the end of the world you are always going to get another chance.

You are doing the best you can do, do believe in yourself a little more.

Love we ended

I don’t need your unfelt hugs, I can’t bear your lustful love. keep those fingers away, for I won’t allow you to slip them down my body, Not anymore. This red powder doesn’t make me your whore. neither would I shut up for the sake of our daughter. She should know her mother and the nasty deeds of her lovely father.

I won’t smile to your relatives or mine. I won’t veil the marks on my eye. I won’t cry in the middle of the night. I won’t curse the God for my sighs. I won’t look into the mirror and find your wife. I won’t wear that smile to let them know that I am fine. For I have reached the summits of my pain. Silences were all in vain. I have been made for heights, to scramble up till I die. I am made to shine in the darkest of skies. I am the fire, its heat along  with its light. no matter how long you hold me tight. these chains are rusted and the walls are weak. Just a push, away, they trip. I am the wind, you cannot trap.

Break me if you want, Pull me if you can, Try sundry tacts to make me ideal for your clan. I am right here, beneath your breathe, underneath your body. But I am not yours, or anybody else’s. for I am not the part of your thoughtless world, Not anymore.

Ice Cream history facts

You scream! I scream! We all scream for ice cream!

When you are stressed you eat ice cream, you know why? Because stressed spelled backwards is desserts.

You can’t buy happiness but you can buy ice cream and that’s pretty much the same thing.

The phrase ice cream reminds of the memories of the summers be it swilling melted cones, hot fudge sundaes, caramel mocha and the list is endless. This utmost old fashioned treat has a very worldly stretched history. Every country has its own twirl on this oh so delicious frozen confection, in India its kulfi, in Italy its gelato, in Japan its mocha and in America it’s the Ice Cream.

There are believed to be various myths about its origin. There are many romantic tales behind this, but neither of them is true. The ice cream we eat today has a very little resemblance to its earliest form.

During the biblical passages, King Solomon was found enjoying the cooled iced drinks at the time of harvest season. Alexandar the great of ancient Greece loved to gratify in icy drinks flavoured with honey and wine. Ice was harvested from the nearby mountains and held in ice-house (deep pits covered with straw), at the time of Nero’s reign of Rome (from 54-68BC).

The first to eat the frozen milk confection were the emperors of Tang dynasty (618-907AD). For the enrichment of texture and flavour camphor (an aromatic substance harvested from evergreen trees) was added and the cow, goat or buffalo milk was heated with flour. The mixture was then placed into metal tubes and lowered into ice pool until frozen, same as Indian’s made kulfi.

The chilled drinks often flavoured with cherry, pomegranate or quince were drank as an icy refreshment called sherbet by the Arabic in medieval times.

Ice cream is likely to reach America, with the European settlers in the early 1700s. In the mean while several books had been produced including the recipe of ice cream.

All thanks to the ice cream moulds, housewives would serve these treats to guests in shape of vegetables, fruits and animals.

After the wait of a long time, in 1790 the first ice cream parlour opened in New York.

Though its history spans worldwide and over centuries, ice cream has made a corner in every person’s heart.
